i have question... i have 5.50 gen-d3 and i know i didn't use any chickhen my psp is slim and motherboard is TA-088 v1/v2 wen i use pspident... can i upgrade it to 6.20 directly or i have to downgrade to 5.00 m33-6??

@hitorizin The more I hear about upgrading from 5.50gen firmware the more I'd recommend to downgrade to 5.00m33 custom firmware. Something in 5.50GEN firmware with the version.txt in the flash makes it not want to accept any firmware updates.

@StarLightSword118 correct... 5.00m33-6 is one of the most stable cfws to upgrade from. ;)

@Le0nebelm0nte32 I really don't think it is necessary but that's just what I recommend. Because my installers will overwrite any folders in the psp system/memory stick.

just curious...i used chickHEN when i upgraded to gen d-5.50 since i read somewhere that i needed that if i wanted to upgrade the firmware of my psp. i think it had something to do w/ the psp software or something (forgot). that i couldn't upgrade right away or it'll brick my psp...would it be ok to use this download or must i rely on the power of HEN?

@lilbunniewabbit I haven't tested this directly from 5.50gen firmware But I don't see why it wouldn't work. Because before you can run the cfw updater you have to update to 6.20 ofw(included) so.... I say give it a try. Good luck.
