Dance lovers attract other knowledgable former dancers and current dancers. Maybe it's too specialized an area of entertainment. I was always super exhausted after dancing a show but I would've loved to have just a few people saying I was good and that they enjoyed my performance. Plus there's less money and smaller audiences usually for dance than theatre so I get it. Acting was hard for me but dance more personally rewarding. Dancers don't usually give autographs unless their huge stars.

I've done theatre and danced but eventually focused on dancing primarily. When I was an actor people came out to "see" me perform but as a dancer it was very difficult to provoke anyone to come "see" me dance. Dancing for them, was not as important or worthy of their attendance. If I'd been in a musical theatre piece THEN I'd attract more people. Theatre people gave love and were exited to see you. Dance lovers just applauded and went home.

Sherie didn't get that dressing room because she was a bigger name in the show, it was simply because of her monstrous costume that needed the space. Heidi Blickenstaff who went on to play the role after her got the same dressing room and, though she is extremely talented and deserving of such praise as Sherie gets, is a much lesser-know actor in the show.

There were plenty other people who came out...to show how much they truly care about those people who were at the show. It's just a theatre, its not some biggg arena either. So many kids were dressed up as mermaids and dresses waiting for ariel, then the security guard goes "ariel" is not coming and lala.
