  • Great video! Its sad but true that this is all over Detroit now.

  • OH YEAH!

  • Duct tape will fix it!

  • aw hell, give me an' Bubba some duct tape and some chicken wire, and maybe a little gum, and she'll be good as new

  • So sad, It could have been a really nice house if it had been restored.

  • @Roblox24News

can't restore something when it's that bad. the walls, roof and foundation appear to be crumbling away, there's no option left but to level it and start over. This house looks like it even started to level itself.

  • It needs mighty putty

  • Handyman special! Buy it dirt cheap!

  • @Mike1973NJ Not no more -- it was torn down almost 5 years ago.

  • ... that house had some characters in its design... too bad

  • hmm its hard to believe someone lived there :S

  • the landlord of that place needs a citation and his day in court!

  • Nice fixer upper................

  • Holy shit holy shit

  • If that house started falling a couple hundred feet away from me, i would run for my lives, not take out a video camera,

  • that house is awesome looks like it needs a face lift lol

  • a little paint and putty and it will be just fine

  • That would have been fun to watch. :-)

  • Where did the sound on this video go? I remember Gary Schwartz being one of the voices "This was all copper..." And is there another video shot by someone else from slightly farther away? It's incredible that one person was filming, much less two. I'm working with some Detroit artists who are incorporating this house in an oil painting and in a video game.

  • did it just fall, or did it get demoliched?

  • @SocialGirl12 demolished*

  • @bboytora yeah well.

  • Is it really true that in Detroit, you can actually buy one of the many houses in this condition, or burnt out properties for as little as $50?? I'm not from the USA (although have visited Detroit, & actually found it a very welcoming city) so i dont know if that info was just someone fooling around, but surely even if the building is beyond saving, the actual land its built on is worth a lot more?? But then again, i guess no one wants to build a new house in the middle of a row or wrecks either

  • @09wez Many houses in Detroit start out at about $10,000 but don't sell, it drops to $5,000. Still doesn't sell. Drops to $1000, still doesn't sell. Then it's free, and still many people don't want it. I've always found it an alright city. Cheap, lots of museums and sporting events, concerts. It's still got heart, just no money.

  • @BrockBurkhart94 Very true! I went visited Detroit in 2009, & havent got a bad word to say about the place. I was very aware of its reputation, & expected to have a tough time walking around the streets (especially at night) being a young white kid from england & obviously not local, but people are friendly enough, & we were never short on finding things to do. Sadly, it looked like people leaving, rather than arriving, was unlikely to change. Seems all the road lead OUT of the city. Great shame

  • This house was noted Detroit architect Albert Kahn's first commission. Built in 1892-1893, it was slated to be torn down for a new Red Cross building, was saved briefly by moving it a block away (but badly damaged during the process), and torn down in late 2007.

  • I'd buy that for a dollar!

  • Dude are you from portland oregon?

Yeah man i live in oregon and from MI. That house is the shit.

  • @LilDuckie3 i do!

  • They tore that down well over two years ago, along with much of the abandoned homes in the city. In a minute, you "D" haters won't have anything to take pictures of. You may have to go to Cleveland in a minute. I hate you all!

  • Такие дома у нас в Замкадье

  • What I would do for a time machine. Does anyone have pictures of this building before it fell into disrepute?

  • Isnt this in Brush Park?

  • If this home were in Atlanta, it would be treasured....

  • take me down to the ghetto city where the grass is dead and the homes are dirty

  • This is why old people get pissed when you throw rocks at their house.

  • my sister would alwas leave for school at 6:30 am when know one in the neighbor hood was awake and she always heard footsteps behind he and when she would turn around no one would there freaky right truwe story she told me here self.

  • my sister was followed by ghost i will tell the story next coment.

  • looks like crack house in west la

  • this is what happens when u give me a hammer to hang up a picture.

  • thant would have been bad if someone was in there

  • I didn't do it!

  • Wtf? Damn

  • go figure, it's detriot.

  • People this is fake, there are many versions of this video. Search "Building collapsing with kid inside" and you'll find a video of this house,

  • wHY DOESN'T ANYONE KNOCK THESE DOWN FOR FREE. WHAT IS MONEY. STUPID GOVERNMENT BULLSHIT. I HATE MONEY AND THAT WHOLE CITY COULD BE BETTER WITHOUT IT. PEOPLE COULD TRADE AND DO WORK WITHOUT MONEY. LIFES NOT EVEN ABOUT MONEY IT S ABOUT DOING WHAT YOU WANT AND BEING KIND TO OTHERS BEFORE YOURSELF. WITH THAT YOU GAIN RESPECT AND DIGNITY. TRY IT SOMETIME AND GOD WILL BLESS YOU WITH FREEDOM TO LIVE A NORMAL LIFE. JUST WAKE UP AND BE THANKFULL IS THAT SO HARD. EVERYTHINGS TO COMPLICATED NOW. GOD BLESSU

  • @6095jimmy BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE GREEDY. ALSO, PEOPLE WANT TO BE COMPENSATED FOR ANYTHING THEY DO THAT BENEFITS SOMEONE ELSE OR A COMPANY. IN ESSENCE, THEY WANT TO GET PAID. EVEN YOU CHRISTIANS. TAKE A LOOK AT HOW MANY PEOPLE IN THE RELIGIOUS SCENE ARE LIVING THE GOOD LIFE ON FOOLS MONEY. YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT SOME FORM OF HOLY COMMUNISM HERE LOL. TRUE, LIFE SHOULDN'T BE ALL ABOUT MONEY BUT IT'S THE VERY THING THAT HELPS US TO LIVE THE LIVES WE DO. AND SAVE YOUR BLESSINGS; YOUR GOD DOESN'T EXIST.

  • @auralstream No need to bring religion into the matter. Or be racist about it either. :\

(and if I can say, my mother and I are totally not living the good life. xD Oh, what a laugh people give me. :D)

  • @auralstream your capslock is hurting my ears

  • @auralstream You pose a good point that people here want compensation for any and every action they preform. You can find videos of abandoned buildings in other countries, not only have they 'Not' been raided, there is evidence of people cleaning up inside!

  • /watch?v=JVoGW5fgdkM

Detroit: a city that once was

  • starts off looking like the Carter economy... then at 0..21 starts looking like O'bamas

  • well economy is getting pretty bad

  • Looks like Afghanistan

  • poor slumpy

  • MY HOUSE WHO THREW DAT WROK

  • UER's Vicarious Vadder, who turned into an "advise-a-matic" bore, will soon celebrate his 6000th post on UER, and is also celebrating his arrest on the Williamsburg Bridge, where the police had to come up there and get him.

  • so u met the estate agent too >.>

  • Brought to you by rampant liberals and unions!

  • Lmao! I bet so too

  • lol fosters home for imaginary monsters is down lololololol

  • Epic but so terribly sad. Glad you had the sense to turn away rather then breath in whatever could have been in the dust though.

  • just a freakin house falling appart

  • I Like How Some Of The People That Watched This Probably Saw The One With The Kid First, Didnt believe It was Fake, Came here, And Is Now Like "Ohhhh The Kid Was FAKE"

  • fake. the real one is with a man inside. lol jk.

  • Wow i was going to say we need to send over the extreme home make over team. But now it looks like we need the extreme make over team to rebuild america and not houses.

  • holy shit O_O is this house gonna collapse? ide love to see that.

  • apparently that house has been fully knocked down now

  • whoa, did you just sit there and wait for parts of the building to slough off, or is it just constantly doing that?

  • Holy sh*t! That's freaky!

  • I just saw a vid that showed a kid in there when it fell

  • @dialga265 Yes you did. Now lets try using logic.

  • @nu11hed i knew it was a fake kid

  • I would love to live in a house like that (when it was inhabitable). You know if I was loaded to the point that I had money coming out my ears I think I'd buy up a ton of run down houses in detroit, demolish them and rebuild them just as they were when they were first built. I'd do it street by street and neighborhood by neighborhood. This would attract people in to buy these homes and then continue this until all the homes are rebuilt or restored. Billionaires feel free to use my idea :)

  • how the heck did that house shift so badly over the years to get in that condition looks like a earthquake hit it. we have tons of abandoned buildings in cleveland that been up for years and never shifted that badly. pretty amazing

  • @hippa2dahoppa2 Apparently they moved it in the 80s but couldn't afford to put the proper foundations in. I think they'd have done better dropping it onto a concrete slab at street level then hoisting it up to it's former raised level (doesn't look like they moved the stairs)

Thats just what I can glean from reading about it online though. Theres a couple of sites out there that catalogue it's decline and it is, really amazing and fascinating stuff.

  • ahhh, yah thatll do it, thanks for the info!

  • Unions caused jobs to go overseas, really? It's ignorance, complacency and gullibility, that causes companies to go oversees. Companies move overseas for cheap labor exploitation. I guess we can get all of our jobs back, when we're comfortable with a $2.00 an hour wage right? For you Union haters, get an education!

  • how the hell does a house get into that much disrepair?????

  • @davisotj1 this is a house in detroit the whole city is like this.this is the end result of unions increasing costs to a point where they force work oversea's and the city loses its income.

  • @username0u812ic

Unions didn't force work overseas. That was done by the wealthy with the help of Bush and the Republicans. They gave tax credits for companies to move overseas. Once one company is allowed/encouraged, the rest have to follow or lose their market position to the company that now uses slave labor from China. Domino effect. All we have to do is take the tax credits away and buy American. They'll flock back when they can't sell goods marked " made in China". BUY AMERICAN!!

  • I found this house on google earth, its on Eliot St Detroit. its still there

  • @mustard01120 yea back n 2007 8

  • @mustard01120 Google Earth is out of date. The William and Mary Livingstone House was demolished one week after its collapse 4 years ago...its been an empty lot since then. I am a resident of the area and knew the house quite well, as did everyone else.

  • @499walex The reason i posted that comment. Was due to the fact i was very shocked to find the house just at randame. Just another question as you live in area how bad is Detroit?. Im from England and looking at buying in Detroit as i love the City

  • @mustard01120 That house has(d) a long story. I live in an area called Midtown. I have NO problem(s) or fear whatsoever walking my neighborhood at 2am. Its knowing the area you are looking to live in. Some are very good, some are very bad. Just do your due diligence before you decide. On Flickr, under mpdtw311 (email too) is whats left of an1879 gothic victorian, my house. If you have more questions, please email me. My best to you, and welcome to Detroit! (whenever you get here)

  • @mustard01120 Stay in England! It is SO much nicer there! Or if you must come to the States move to either the East or the West coast. Everything in the middle is a dump.

  • 0:23 transformers !

  • over the river and thru the woods to grandmother's house we go! :D

  • i just saw the fake video of this with a kid inside while it collapse and what im wondering is how did they film did they record the building collapsing from a different angle cause when you pause this vid at 0:31 their is no one next the person who made this video.

  • Wow is that a site or what!

  • It is(was) the William Livingstone House and was a famous landmark in Detroit. It was moved from its original location to be restored but the plan fell through and it's temporary supports were never properly installed so it started to collapse and had to be torn down.

  • @hop208 the plan FELL THROUGH? pun intended? lol

  • Top Floor to the right....Dude on the Toilet was like WTF...lol

  • Looks like my house ;)

  • "the house collapsed!"

    ...WHY ARN'T YOU RUNNING?!

  • Must have been left for along time to get in that state!

  • duct tape solves everything.

  • oh dear

  • sfrgtuijdshrg

  • This movie was so bad there is no monster inside.

  • @mantisdroid no I watched the whole thing. But he said it after the first few bricks fell, not after the face of the building fell off.

  • Bet Black people used to live their..

  • That's the only form of movement going on in real estate right now

  • @joesmoe71 LOL!! VERY good!!!!!

  • this was the william livingston home in detroit michigan.

it was a home to one of detroit's wealthiest men back when it was built within the 19th century, in an area that is called brush park which is now obliterated.

alot of these old victorians throughout the years wound up broken down into low rent apartments and then flop and dope houses that were terribly neglegted.

detroit is very well known for this horrendous level of urban decay.

  • That old mansion seems quite satisfactory. I want it!!!!!!!

  • Another high quality Indian built home.

  • A brick falling is the most amazing thing he's ever seen? Must not get out much.

  • @aaroncoopershea youmust have stopped the video half way....tsk tsk tsk. impatience is not a virtue

  • Isn't Detroit the city with the most crime?

  • @TrainSounds

Yes along with Newyork, Miami, Los angeles, chicago

  • @TrainSounds it's the third. It goes St. Louis, FLint, then comes Detroit.

  • I could hold that house up just give me 150000000 rolls of duct tape :P

  • Haha, looks pretty interesting. (: Happily I don't lived there.. But why do you think of ghosts and monsters? It's just a collapsing house?

  • its fake any house can fall like that

  • kewl vid- just starts randomly collapsing

  • This video is BS. Someone was inside, causing those things to fall- they edited out the kid in the upper floor window. Look at the other video posted to youtube- same house. Just kids pranking in a condemned building.

Sad this great old house was left to fall apart this way. Says a lot about how we let great cities like Detroit fall to dust.

  • @leapingoutofwater you know, the kid in the other video, in the upper left video was obviously fake. That other video was BS, this one, idk

  • Who the hell went in there to put up those boards in the windows?!

  • @arntzville probably the city when they condemned the building

  • Gotta get the glue gun.

  • Neat house fail! And don't worry Rue, your butt's not that freaky.

  • that house is in brush park, in detroit. it used to be a well to do part of the city.

  • Silence is golden, but duct tape is silver and alot cheaper.

  • @joopirates that was funny, but I never heard of houses committing suicide. I hope the price of a house comes down to $10 by 2017.

2017 is best year to start thinking of buying a home. Actually, 2020 is the year in which people will be able to afford a home. However, the market looks a head by 3 year. That is why is used 2017

My calculations are based on large numbers of data.

  • LOL

  • Hey if you like airsoft forts check out mine and its surrounding sandbag bunkers. Thanks

  • I wouldlove for one week Someone that had the power maybe Oprah or Tyra someone would give a person that is racist against blacks the full treatment of a makeup team to turn them into african american and put them in a town known to be unwelcoming to brown skin and see how they feel. Its still them inside. No different from before its just they now have brown skin. Let them feel what even today blacks go through. Cops, stores white woman clutching their bags in elevators rudeness name calling

  • Idiot, instead of having Orpah spend money turning me black, why not have Orpah use her excess billions bettering her own kind. Funny thing is, she tried that little experiment with some Cabrini Green niggers around 20 years ago, new house, car, education for the nigglettes, etc. and it failed.

  • @OBAMASTINKSLIKEANAPE You can't really educate niggers i'm afraid, no more than you can educate a primate...

  • fuck you, racists-all-black and white...tired.continue fighting for pointless shit, while the government will slowly buttfuck everyone

  • @Powerman8885 yes even if u think about every one came from africa

  • I bet if you throw a rock the whole building will collaspe

  • Oh Detroit, you so crazy.

  • @joopirates fuck you ok u should have lived in there u racist faggot how dare u say that burn in hell asshole and the 5 ignorant assholes who gave u a thumbs u all yall should have reside there while that shit happened u moron

  • A BIG BIG BIG box of band aids plz anyone????

  • @joopirates No...When blacks become a majority entire citys comit suicide.

  • @compukenny Iam a White woman married to a white man that does not stand for ignorant comments that can influence my children in any way. I bet it just pisses you off to see all these talented strong BLACK men and woman doing there thing. Making millions doing what they love why you are just bitter angry and lonely. You will never be the type to make it as true money maker or live your life to the fullest because, you are to rapped up in what you hate and what you dont have.

  • @penbus492

That is your counter to nigger criminals? Bringing up wop gangsters from the 1920's ???? LOLOLOLOLOL

live in a white neighborhood. Murder and rape doesn't happen here. Elderly people aren't violently robbed here. The streets are clean and safe. Detroit on the other hand is run by niggers and has devolved into the equivalent of a 3rd world African shithole.

I'm not surprised that Detroit is fucked. You don't let niggers run a city for the same reason you dont let a monkey drive car

  • @joopirates First of all watch what you say you might just say wop to the wrong person punk. SecondThe Mafia wasnot only the 1920's do your homework. trust I myself am only 29 and still know of many alive that for a lack of better words were something to the Costra Nostra. The fall of the mafia that Hollywood knows of did not happen to long ago definatly not in the 20's. You can read that in the rise and fall of the Cleveland Mafia. It speaks of the true Godfather.

  • @joopirates Anyway, I understand frustration . I use to be one to call out race quickly when fucked with. I was stabbed by a black man while I was pregnant on Cleveland Ohio's east side. My black belt saved my life. Still it could have been a white man however, it did take me a bit to trust large black men to be alone with me. But, never do I concider any one race to have a one track mind. Not all men think alike no matter how they were brought up. Its sad to think of the uneducated out there.

  • @joopirates haha!! xD weak!!

  • @joopirates Thats like saying people that owned a petting zoo full of horses decided to buy a zebra. The damn farm fell in just because the sight of a zebra. Cant you see the ignorance in a comment about race. How many White criminals do u know of? I can bet ya know of Lucky Luciano as well as Al Capone. Being Full blood myself I know truth and still we are glorified but you forsake black skin for what reason? Ignorance. Its called the industrial resolution. No Jobs left factories, steel gone.

  • Wow, Foster's home for imaginary friends has really gone down hill.

  • @mud409 yeah it has.Bloo destroyed it! :D

  • @mud409 lol XD

  • Is this house for sale? ... I would like my mother in law to live in it xD

  • its called an earthquake

  • The building collasped. Holy Crap!!!

  • Clean up that bottle, Punk!

  • wow. O.O ....sad.

  • WTF WHY WAS THIS GUY FILMING MY HOUSE THAT I HAVENT BEEN TO IN DECADES IT WAS MY HOOUS I HAD A NO FILMING SIGN ON THE GROUND

  • sooooooooooooooooo

  • but how could the other person "same biulding" video recorded the other end i mean left side of him who was recording and the other clip is edited with the boy inside the building the thing is that when he is turning his cam left side then u can c there is no body so how can 1 building claps 2 times or again with same wall and windows area and claps same as b4 ....... any 1 can find out and tell us the real story

  • @whoommi the other video was someone's editing practice, it was fake.

  • So I take it that no one has watched that program about Earth after humans? If all humans perished within a decade or so, due to a plague or biological virus, almost every thing man-made would ultimately be reclaimed by nature. Watching the "Sears" tower in Chicago rust, rot and collapse was cool to see using CGI. The US is no longer an economic superpower, and you can laugh @ Detroit's demise, but this country is like a "Titanic" sinking in an ocean of red ink....

  • its detroit mi, how can you say its fake lol, all the houses in detroit michigan are falling apart

  • no sound....fake!! especially the other video with kid inside edited

  • SEXY!

  • THIS IS NOT FAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS REAL

  • It's Munster!!

  • still standing?

  • some one get the ductape!!!!!

  • lol--- where did the kid go from the window? :OOO there supposed to be someone in the window :OO

  • @Sanyey this is the real version

  • borats cousins can buiild better homes

  • Why da fuck are we talking about Duct tape on a video about a collapsing house?

  • @cngowens Because of a humorous comment I made eyons ago about repairing the building with "duck" tape....that's the "fuck" why.

  • @SouthSdChi

WOW. People really need to get a life if they spend it correcting someone about a simple spelling error, sheesh....

  • @cngowens Because duct tape can fix anything

  • @cngowens

It was probably supposed to be funny, but you know... people....

  • @cngowens it solves everything

  • @nolifeATALL23

    makes sense.

  • funny thing is we call it duct tape but we don't use it to seal ducts. we use metalized and aluminum tapes. just some info for you people.

  • theres a video with this building but with a kid inside haha it looked fake
