Gotta' admit I don't know much about Macs. I got it for $190, and I'll use it for nothing but Garageband and Logic Studio Pro. Literally, nothing else. LSP takes up nearly 50GB of data, anyway.

Specs:

2GHz Dual Core

2GB RAM (might put another 2GB in here)

150 HDD (might upgrade this as well)

OS X 10.5

I'm excited. You know what kind of GPU is in this thing?

@Mordocyanide Thats a complete bargain compared to mine! I got it for £285 thats about $300.

Garage Band 06' is the latest version you can get and LSPRO i dont know about!

@techbannana Why can't I rock a newer version of GB? Because PPC-based systems don't support Snow Leopard, I assume? What kind of multi-tasking can you do with only 2GB of DDR2? Sounds weak, and I almost feel compelled to put another 2 gigs in there.

I bought mine used, btw, but it's in good condition.

@techbannana just fyi, garage band 09 works just fine on my dual 2ghz powermac g5. The learn to play feature will tell you that you have to have an intel based mac, but it also works ok, not sure how well it would work on a single processor g5 though.
