Because I had this sence of "it must get harder" going through me, so I played it till I completed it. After getting another 30 with Luigi I gave up so I never got number 121.

It's a decent game for the first in the new series, but now that Galaxy 2's out and is even easier, it's killed the series again.

And despite enjoying this, I can barely remember a single galaxy because of how easy it was.

Challenge creates memories afterall.

I prefer Super Mario 64, SM64 was like "Explore the level" type thing, whereas Galaxy is kinda a "Follow the path and at the end of the level was the star", Both are great games, but SM64 is my fav game ever :3!

you know, to be honest, i think galaxy was the main reason that i got a wii. i played it at gamestop, and the next thing i knew, i really badly wanted to get a wii! i've hardly played 64, cuz i like SMG a lot better.

the only thing that i think sucks is the lack of logic in the game. everybody knows that you can't breathe, or make noise, in space! and seriously, there are multiple solar systems in a galaxy, not the other way around! then again, it might've been intentional, i don't know. :)

I don't think you need to resuce him, that was in DS.

For this you just have to get all 120 stars and then beat the boss again.

also, haven't you heard that theres a sequel? E3 just announced that its gonna come out in 2010. its called: Super Mario Galaxy 2. theres gonna be a second one! with yoshi in it! :)

I also hope that they fix his flutter jump. In sunshine you couldn't portion it out, if you used it for a second, you couldn't use it again on the way down... I hope mario galaxy can do yoshi some justice.

Although I have to ask which game are you looking forward to more New Super Mario Bros(Wii) or Super MArio Galaxy 2?

For me it's New SMB. The DS game was just more fun than this imo.

Didn't bother with Luigi, found Mario far to easy and after getting the first 20 stars with him, I couldn't see any disernable difficulty difference.

However to get me in the mode for the hopefuly MUCH harder 2, then I'm trying to buy one back, so I'll do Luigi then.

It's just annoying that I'd struck a deal with someone to buy it and then the S.O.B sold it to someone else.

I think we have a miscommunication. In Toy Time Galaxy there is a purple coin challenge called "Luigi's Purple Coin Challenge", it's extremely tricky and quite frustrating. And I'm sorry to hear about that deal you had :(

Ah yes, that one. Sorry, thought you meant the extra level you get from beating it with Luigi.

I do know that one and for a long time that one was the hardest and it really did perplex me and I spent ages on it, and then I found out the reason I was finding it so hard, was because I was doing totally the opposite of what you're supposed to, and I done it first time after realising that XD

Beat it with Mario but didn't find it hard enough to do it with Luigi. I did enjoy playing through it, but it wasn't hard enough to be memorable. Because I find difficulty to be a major part of the fun, 'cause when you look back at games, you remember the hard bits and how long they took you to beat.

And with this, I maybe found 20 stars difficult. I found it a great shame because SMG had everything else.

Everything to make a game great, with the exception of some real challenge.

That is a very good point, and perhaps I can shed light on why that is, and unfortunatly, perhaps it is because mario is really a Icon, that is for everyone, therefor a medium is created for the game - Zelda seems to have its own following, slightly different from SM, and since the general audience is one who loves puzzles there creativity can go all out on making them as intriguiing and interesting as possible - Super Mario can't be like zelda. Maybe they'll introduce a custom difficulty level?

critics say that galaxy is better than SM64 but even though galaxy is very good, i think SM64 is better

mario sunshine is ok but its pretty hard to be honest (ive only gotten to 73 shine sprites while ive beaten galaxy and almost beat SM64 in Mexico [i was 1 star away from beating it] but now since i have it on my wii, i will finally beat it!) great memories

I hated the first two 3D Mario games. Well I got turned off by Super Mario 64 because of Super Mario 64 DS horrible controls. When I played Super Mario 64 on the VC I couldn't change my opinion. Super Mario Sunshine was just annoying and hard.

Super Mario Galaxy made me enjoy and love a 3D Mario game. Rivals my personal favorite Mario game Super Mario World. Glad though I am not the only one in the world who feels the same way.

Thing is, it can't have been that back in the day, and I found it pretty overated after about 20 stars. That first snow area is eveil because of how horrid the camera is.

Sweet review! I SOOOOOOO want this game man!

I had my first full on Wii experience last night with Wii Fit etc. and played Res Evil 4 in the past and DAMN the Wii is sweet (sWiit - sorry, had to be done lol)!
