  • I'm waiting 4 mine in the mail, can't wait well I probably can but don't want 2

  • Si in user review should I buy this or a modded controller from rapidmodz(dot)com

  • @RCKAssasign I would not get a modded controller. For starters it is a cheap tactic that will actually in the long run make you worse at video games. Next, developers I constantly looking for ways to design out controller mods, so what works on this title probably won't work on the next.

  • Good review...I'm thinking about getting this as soon as I can afford it.

  • @OhMyAshes its a nice piece of hardware. its worth the wait!

  • Nice review bro. just waiting for mines to come in stock then i will be getting one of these bad boys .

  • Does your ps3 style dpad have any issues? Mine doesnt work very well (I have video of it on my unboxing video) just curious if I got a bad unit.

  • @Scoooorn I think you have a defective product. Contact Madcatz I'm sure they will send you a new one.

  • @Scoooorn mine tooo, it just starting acting weird, like it laggs ,

  • Mouse and keyboard

  • @chewiebrothaman I spend 80% of my work day on a kd&m, so these days when I play games I like a change, however I do play several computer based games from time to time. And actually I started serious gaming on UT & CS, so I agree that kd&m are superior input devices; however if you are going play with a controller I recommend this one.

  • Is it harder to claw this controller than a normal controller?

  • @FLASHGABExMEDIAx nope, its equally difficult with both!

  • can you please answer me this. Even though i have gone through 3 razer onzas. I love the extra shoulder buttons, and it is neccasary for me since i play gears of war. Is there going to be a another version with this addition other wise i dont see myself buying one

  • @TacticalxEdits I have no idea what madcatz has up their sleeves, but I would suggest you explore using the claw grip. This is where you place you right middle finger on the trigger and the right index on the four buttons. There are a lot of pros who swear by this setup, and it gives you access to all for buttons without taking your thumbs off the sticks.

  • Tbh. Mouse and keyboard. Analogs are iffy, and this is coming from someone whos grown with a analog controller all his life.

  • After having the controller for a while would you say its worth the money? are there any problems with it yet?

  • @UNCAGEDK1NG yes I would say its worth the money. No issues to report

  • Um, I have a Razer Onza TE. So far, I like it and I haven't had any problems with it. I like Razer's idea on the D-Pad and the Analog sticks. Plus the Re-Map buttons. But I like MLG's Pro controller idea. I like it where you can switch stuff around. So, just by looking at this review I must say I wan't to buy this controller!! That way I can do a Razer Onza V.S. Mad Catz MLG Pro Controller! I thank you for this review!

  • hey hustle great vid i subd and i have to old school first gen 360 controller and i have both the headset that came with my elite and i bought a wireless earpiece will the mlg controller pick up my earpiece?

  • @MLGTroy1 I'm not sure, you might want to email or tweet to Madcatz.

  • @ch4rliehus7le ok thanks and awesome review i might get one bc of ur review bc my gen 1 controller the nubs r worn down and theres a half second lag on swat games for me so thanks

  • Can anyone tell me if this has vibration in it?

  • @MyStillRemains yes it does.

  • @ch4rliehus7le Thank you!

  • Dig the review. Very informative. Have you tried the Grip-It analog grips at all? I use them a lot on the Blackops controller and would not be caught dead w/o them. Keep up the good reviews.

  • @bowser5 I haven't tried them, but I did find the Black Ops controllers sticks to be unusually slick. What I did was to cut out some circles out of skateboard grip tape and stick them to the tops of the sticks.

If you make them too big they will slide off. I found if you outline a dime and then cut that out it will sit right in the middle of the stick.

The mlg controller has some ridiculous nubs on the xbox controller so no need for extra grip.

  • great vid ! appreciate it !

i love how you told every little thing about the MLG controller !

i especially like how you told about the sticks. thank you so much.

  • Sucks about the ONZA, I really love mine and ive had it for a good month and a half. Great vid.

  • Great vid man subbed. also have you found out if the turtlebeach bluetooth adapter fits on the controller or if there is an 3rd party adapter for it?

  • @haydenraven07 I sent a tweet to the community manager for madcatz, he's usually pretty diligent about replying. So I'll let you know what he says.

  • Great video. Finally someone who does an actual in-depth review and actually sounds like he knows what he's talking about. Subscribed.

  • @3MPIREOFDEATH I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • Very helpful, in depth review. Have to say, they sent me a broken one at first yet again making me question the quality of madcatz products. However, I'm hoping that my situation is rare.

  • @Ix7VickxI They sent me a faulty one as well. They are sending me a new one. So I hope the next one is better.

  • @ImSykotiq @Ix7CickxI That sucks when you get a product and it doesn't even work properly, but coming from a manufacturing background I can tell you nothing is perfect 100%. I'm interested in how Madcatz is handling things, that's almost just as important as getting it right the first time.

  • You did good with this video. But it is kind of long. However, I don't really mind because you did a good job covering everything.

  • @clue6669 thanks! I will try to keep future videos as concise as possible.

  • @ImSykotic there will always be a few that make it past quality control, not just controllers but anything. Let us know how everything goes with your next controller.

  • @cala4001 Will do man! Just got all my shipping labels and stuff today. As of now I have everything packaged and ready to ship. The man at customer service told me he would ship my replacement as soon as he sees my broken one shipped. Hopefully he ships it like 1 or 2 day air, since I ordered mine and I chose 1 day shipping

  • @TheSimonWayne did you get it out yet? Until the springs loosen up it's going to be tough. Mine are slightly better, but Charlie can field strip his controller in a minute so it just takes time.

  • does this controler work on a pc???? ps3 ver and xbox 360?? prob xbox360 ver works kaz name band xbox does but id rather the ps3 ver. can some one please respond to this question my email is majin_angel2003@hotmail.com thank u

  • @ImSykotiq sorry to hear about your bad luck. You definitely just got unlucky, these controllers were heavily tested by mlg players. Glad everything worked out.

  • @cala4001 Yeah its getting better. I'm pretty pumped cause they are sending me a brand new one. I contacted tech support, it took a bit but I was patient and it paid off. So as of right now I have to send my broken one back and they are sending me a new one. Hopefully this one isn't faulty or broken lol, I'm sure it will work out fine :) But I just think I had bad luck thats all lol

  • forget it

  • what is the little peice that comes with it

  • @ImSykotic mine were stiff too. I don't know how long it took, but I'm at about 10 hours now and they work great.

  • Its a great controller. I was pretty disappointed with my xbox joysticks. Dont get me wrong feels smooth and great. But the clicking and zooming in is really unresponsive for me. Plus I have a really hard time locking and releasing them. So I hope it was just faulty but yeah pretty disappointed :(

  • @ImSykotiq wow I couldn't disagree more, I find the thumbstick clicking less ambiguous than the microsoft controller. It feels to me like it has a slightly shorter throw and a more defined click. How long have you had the controller? It may just take a little bit of time to work in the springs.

  • @ch4rliehus7le Yeah, maybe I just need to break it in. Been playing with it for about 4 hours. I dont mean to sound like judgemental and all I was jw if any else had this problem. I also noticed it really difficult to lock and release the joysticks like it literally took me 10 minutes to release it. I read the manual and everything its just so hard to lock in place. I contacted Madcatz hopefully they can help also. I appreciate your reply

  • @ImSykotiq 4hrs is still fairly fresh out of the box. Give it some time. My sticks lock and release very easily. Make sure the white line on the stick is lined up with the arrow on the controller. Press down on the outer ring around the stick and twist clockwise so that the white line on the stick lines up with the line on the controller. I can completely strip my controller and put it together in less than a minute (just tried hehe)

  • @ch4rliehus7le Ok man thanks! I'm starting to get used to taking out the joysticks. But how long do you think til it will breaks in? Its kinda making me mad since i keep dying from long range on halo lol thats where it screws me over the most

  • @ch4rliehus7le Played with it today pretty good. Except for one thing my right bumper already broke! It doesnt even click or respond man am I disappointed. I already called them and gave them all my info and they are sending me a replacement so thats good. I just hope this next one is as good you and everyone else says it is.

  • @ch4rliehus7tle any word on when the sticks, cables, and faceplates will be available? I'd like to keep some spare thumb sticks around so I have them when these wear down. Also wouldn't mind red faceplates. Hopefully, everything is reasonably priced.

  • @cala4001 I haven't seen anything on replacement parts other than the pictures @MLGSundance tweeted of some different color plates and sticks.

  • @Jjozzie2008 you're in luck, he just posted a video of that a couple days ago.

  • @cala4001 You get the gold start for super subscriber of the day!

  • 100% do the HD PVR unboxing and set-up etc, the controller review came with great detail so you should try do the same with the PVR. Nice video.

  • @Jjozzie2008 Check out the other videos on my channel, I think you will find what you are looking for! If you have any other questions please leave a comment and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

  • @ch4rliehus7tle that's why I'm hoping mad catz makes other cases because it would be guaranteed to fit it.

By the way, my controller has rumble packs in it. I thought mad catz decided not to do vibration because it adds weight?

  • @cala4001 I figured they'd put rumble packs in it because its easier for people to take them out than to explain to people why they didn't include them. I almost always take out the rumble packs, but for some reason I enjoy the weightiness of this controller. It feels like I could drive nails with it or take down an adversar

  • @ch4rliehus7le the scout pack is great, but that's overkill for me. I just need something to protect my headset and controller. My headset is already protected and everything else either isn't needed or I'm not worried about it getting damaged. If there is anything you would recommend let me know.

  • @cala4001 I know gamer modz makes one for wireless m$ controllers, but it doesn't like it would fit the MLG well enough.

  • Just got mine and tested it out in a private match. Using your setup and gaming is very comfortable. The triggers are very nice, as soon as I apply pressure my gun shoots. My first party controllers all needed the trigger to be half depressed.

I just hope that when they offer different faceplates and sticks, they also offer different cases. As you said, the case is the only thing that isn't high quality. Thanks again for the videos, great purchase.

  • @cala4001 Honestly I've used the case for my a40's twice in the year that I have owned them, so I didn't care that the case was crap. Then again anything they put in the package reflects on the quality of the purchase as a whole. I would have been happier if they just would have left it out all together.

That being said, if you need to haul your console gaming gear buy the Scout Pack from Astro. With that all the other cases become obsolete.

  • @ch4rliehus7le Hey, Segarele here.

Just got mine in the mail today finally, the wait and find out tactic didn't work.

I'm hoping to get used to it soon, the responsiveness it amazing, the thumb sticks are so smooth.

I changed my layout to the ps3; I've only been playing the xbox360 for a year and I played the playstation2 through my childhood. The thumb sticks seem too close together as my hands are fairly large and the start buttons are gonna need getting used to.

    Awesome Product over all.

  • @StSJunky The start and back buttons took me a couple of days to get used to as well, but now second nature.

  • i cant stand MLG pumping out these, lets face it, generic and basic/average products... and people buy them thinking they will be MLG Pro

  • @DemondHarris I appreciate your opinion, it is refreshing to hear someone who is seeing this product from a different point of view, so lets continue the conversation to see if we can't learn something.

First, it is Madcatz who is making them not MLG. The MLG is mearly endorsing them. Much like they do with the a40's. I think it is good exposure for the controller and the MLG.

Second, what about the product do you find basic/average?

    Thanks for your opinion!

  • @ch4rliehus7le thats what i mean, they are pumping out these products which are rediculously priced considering you can get similar/better for near half the price, i have Astro A40s, i feel that they are on par with headsets £50 cheaper. but yet people buy all this stuff believing it will help them get to MLG standard. these types of controller have been done before, and for cheaper, its just slapping on and MLG logo and bumping up the price, assuming the controller has the logo like astros do

  • @DemondHarris I would say the gap between this and the microsoft is significant, more significant than the gap between the a40s and the field. However in both cases you are paying for luxury.

The same arguements are often made about Lexus. Yes they are, at the root, Toyotas just done better. Whether those improvements are worth the extra cost comes down to one's personal values.

Chances are if you spend a lot of time gaming you'll appreciate the improvements more than a causal gamer.

  • @DemondHarris For both the controller and the a40s, the mlg distinction makes sense because in both cases the improvements benefit a pro who will be traveling more so than someone playing at home. For example the rugged design of the a40s might not benefit someone who is just using them at one location. For them the Trittons will work just fine. However, the Trittons are not going to survive to many rides in an overhead compartment.

  • @ch4rliehus7le actually thats a damn good point you made their about being rugged, since they are designed for MLG pro circuit, all that travelling and the way they rip em off celebrating xD or raging, they need to be very durable, but in terms of actual sound quality, no difference to others on the market, some others actually top it with customisation and smoother quality sound, but then thats debatable :/ lol. i just feel the stuff is a little too overpriced for what little extras you get

  • @DemondHarris yup, I have said it before the ax720 from Tritton sound just as good as my a40s for 1/3 of the price. However they are very fragile and unrepairable. There are other upsides to the a40s as well (I'm planning on a video about headsets), but if you don't need the durability, save some cash and go with the Trittons

  • @ch4rliehus7le i treat my stuff with care but its too late now, ive had my astros a while ;)

  • great video man. keep it up

  • nice video. it was really informative

  • @funniestdudealive Thank You!

  • I've had my onza for a year and it's fine

  • @NICKROCKSHARD15 do you use it? well congrats, you are the only person that had anything positive to say about it.

  • Im gonna get one of theese just to become an "MLG Legit Killer!!"

No but seriously loved the review, thanks for posting it.

  • @ch4rliehus7le oh sorry I didn't notice that you posted another video. I'll check that out immediately.

  • @cala4001 oh no worries! I am more than happy to answer your questions here, but I thought you might enjoy that video as well!

  • @ch4rliehus7le so, it's been two weeks since the review. Has your opinion on the controller changed in anyway? Also, what layout are you currently using?

  • @cala4001 I posted another video showing me using the controller playing. I also give an update on my current setup... but to answer your question here. I still prefer it to a microsoft controller. the only changes from this video are that I am using the textured lower faceplates to give the controller a two tone look, and that I am using a single weight in the back slot to let it balance in my hands.

  • @ch4rliehus7le

I received my controllr yesterday and when I attatch my turtle beaches to the adapter, the voice quality just seems to become worse. Does yours sound the same or perfectly fine?

  • @tallman286 I don't have mine yet, but I believe that is normal behavior.

  • That little tip you said at the end to "clean up" the area at the mic area was really useful and will be doing that when I get my madcatz for sure. Sick of unplugging my mixamp because of that reason lol.

  • Charlie I just received mine today. I have two questions, 1. Does yours turn on your console when you push the center xbox button? 2. Does the controller turn the on when you start your console with the power button? I ask because I have to plug mine in after I turn on the console for the controller to work.

  • @tallman286 It does take slightly longer than with my standard controller, the button in between back and start will power up my console. I'll have to try starting my console with the front button to see if that activates the controller.

  • @ch4rliehus7le Thanks I think I got a faulty one.

  • is it the same size as the xbox controller or smaller like the other madcatz controllers ?

  • @iTzGaMeR1 it is the same size as the microsoft controller.

  • Just to let everyone here know: amazon and gameshark now have both versions in stock. Mine should be shipping soon.

  • @cala4001 thats great, I have heard they are having difficulty staying ahead of demand so be sure to get your pre-orders in.

  • @ch4rliehus7le Yes they were having problems staying ahead. They are now good and shipping on time. and for anyone who is looking into the MLG Controller BUY It. They are very good controllers and me being a Ammy Halo: Reach player known by top players and coaches I highly suggest it. I have my second one on it's way now annd in the future they will be making colored faceplates, thumb sticks and Hand panels. So it's well worth it!

  • @Nevinskiii great feedback.

I'm going to pick up halo on the way home from work today so I went ahead and subscribed to your channel. I hope I can pick up some strats from your videos!

  • Do you know where to get this thing in Europe?

  • @ShotByMeir I have heard that they are available in the UK, but haven't heard specifically of any other countries. Try asking @markman23 on twitter, he is the community manager for mad catz.

  • Do you use Kontrol Freeks? I do, and i was wondering if they would fit onto the PS3 sticks on this controller.

  • @thedotiskewl75 the Freeks will fit on the PS3 sticks, however they fit better on the xbox sticks. I believe this is due to the design of the freeks because its like that on my evil sticks as well. With the modular design of the controller, there is no reason to run the ps3 sticks if you plan on using the freeks.

  • Great job with the video! Nice to see a guy with experience with many controllers do a review. Amazon says usually ships in 2 to 4 weeks though and the ps3 version is on pre order for march 2nd. Looks like they can't meet the supply and demand.

  • @cala4001 yeah they are selling like hotcakes, so get your orders in quick

  • great, complete review. good job. you caused me confusion now wether to use the ps3 stick or the 360 for the right stick. what do you recommend when i get my controller in feb.?

  • @morofingo Try them both out, thats the beauty of the controller!

  • Great Review! :)

  • thanks for the review!!

  • I wish I could link you guys, but @MLGSundance (CEO of the MLG) posted some pictures on twitter of the MLG controllers with multi colored sticks and faceplates. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a good selection of additional accessories for these controllers in the very near future.

  • Best review I've seen so far, great job. Definitely considering it.

  • got mine a few days ago. it's for whatever reason taken me a long time to get used to it, and im still not sure im completely used to it. considering sending it back and getting a scuf. kind of a disappointment.

  • @TheCoDlFather what was it that you couldn't get used to? for me the sticks, buttons, and triggers are very close to the microsoft controller.

One quick tip for everyone: Try putting just one weight in the back of the controller all the way at the bottom. It helps balance the weight of the cord hanging off the front and seats the controller very nicely in your hands.

  • @ch4rliehus7le well more or less i think it was the ps3 thumbstick on the right. now i know this is completely optional, but after reading the scuf information, i was kinda expecting it to help alot. idk, maybe i need more time with it? =/ (even though i did put in a 6 hour session yesterday...)

  • Thanks this had alot of great info good job man.

  • do you think you can show a gameplay of u playing wit that controler to see how really good it is and great review im going to see if i can buy it right away

  • @xJoN97 Your not the first person to ask for that video. I will record something this weekend. What I'd like to do is gameplay with a picture in a picture of a camera looking down on my hands as I play.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • Great Video! I might pick one of these up now, they are all sold out on the main website though right now.

  • @iOuFTW have you tried the amazon link in the description? Usually the best thing to do is put your order in and then as soon as they get stock they will send it out to you.

  • @ch4rliehus7le I can't order from Amazon because they don't take paypal >.>

  • Have you tried playing fighting games with this product

  • @Tsherman100 I unfortunately don't have any fighting games, maybe another viewer has tried it....?

  • @Tsherman100 I just saw a post on the neogaf forums discussing the D-Pads and fighting games, it seemed those folks prefered the ps3 style D-Pad for fighting games. I would paste in the link, but YT wont allow links in the comments.

  • Great Review i was wondering for that little cable you show at the end of the video. the connector is still a 2.5mm im assuming right? if so, the other end of that cable, could you connect a 3.5mm jack or does it have to be another 2.5mm plug or is it a whole nother purpose? I was wondering because i was hoping to plug in some earbuds instead of having to spend a lot of money on a good headset for now. i think i need a new controller before a headset :P

  • @pimorules it is a right angle 2.5mm male to 2.5mm female for xbl chat. I believe this is to accommodate older xbox headsets. I discuss it a little bit in my review video.

I'll be doing a headset roundup/review later this week, so be on the look out for that.

  • This is by far one of my favorite reviews I've ever watched on youtube. I would def want to hear what else you've got.

  • @smokindadozer420 thank you, I'll try to get some new videos up soon!

  • Much props on the video. Really insightful. Keep it up. SUBSCRIBED/LIKED

  • is this lasting u is the controller worth or do u think the scuf gaming controller is

  • @KINGOFTHEOVERLORDS1 I'd be interested in giving a scuf a try. However in my hands extra buttons on the back do not work because I tend to squeeze the controller when depressing the thumb sticks. The short pull triggers sound interesting, but I have heard in practice they can't be set close enough to give any advantage b/c each weapon has its own sweet spot on the trigger. Other than that they are just microsoft controllers.

  • FYI for our viewers overseas: MadCatzUK (@MadCatzUK)

    1/16/12 4:14 AM

Good news! The M.L.G Controller will be £89.99 & available on 28th January. Stock will be very limited!

  • does the controller have vibrations?

  • @wildpuyito yes it does, although I do not have this feature turned on.

  • how much does it cost

  • @SavagePUGman $99.99, there is a link in the description for amazon

  • It's an exellent, clear cut review of a brilliant product! The modular design is simply genius work, I love it! Amazing how Mad Catz has now become, as far as I'm concerned, king of controllers. I'm mainly a fighting game fan and already planning on nabbing one (or maybe even two!) of their hefty, new V.S. Fightstick but now they've just sold (or your review has, rather) one of these pads to me for every other genre. Brilliant stuff!

  • @Shoryuken4u There seems to be a large effort from the Mad Catz camp to change their image. For me it started with the purchase of Tritton, and now continues on with what they are doing with Fightsticks and controllers. I have also heard good things about their PC gaming products as well.

  • nice review dude... But can the controller for the xbox360 use for the pc as well?

  • @foxbigboss12 yes it can

  • great review. i have been looking into buying this controller for sometime now but wasnt to sure about the build quality since its mad cats and all.definitely gonna buy this controller... keep us updated on how the controller is working out for you.

  • "Happy little home" haha. That and the "happy trees" man, i love me some Bob Ross. That man was sick with a canvas and some paint......R.I.P Mr. Ross. Shall your legacy forever live on PBS.

  • The packaging appears to be specifically for "Lunchbox"

  • I without a doubt should have bought this instead of the gay Razor Onza. never should hav bought that piece of crap. the LT will not register so when i go to Aim down my sight it wont. and when i click the left stick to sprint i start to sprint and stop as soon as i push it. wtf. DO NOT BUY RAZOR PRODUCTS. CUSTUMER SERVICE IS EVEN WORSE. If my shot doesnt work why should i have to pay to ship it bak to you then pay to hav another one shipped to me.

  • can you review the fps pro from madcatz???

  • @TheCoDlFather sure I can do it right here... its garbage. Save up the extra $40 and get the mlg. The buttons on the back are about half the size of a dime and thus very unlikely your hands will naturally find them. The sticks have more travel than a microsoft controller, so I found it very difficult to get my sensitivity locked in. If you need buttons on the back get a scuf. If you want something better than a microsoft controller get a mlg.

  • @ch4rliehus7le thanks man. i actually preordered the mlg, and it'll be here tomorrow :D but i was just wondering just in case something happened to the mlg. but thanks anyway. and i was also considering the scuf, but its so freakin expensive lol

  • @TheCoDlFather yeah the scufs just seem like a lot of money for a modded xbox controller. My issue with buttons on the back is I tend to squeeze the controller while depressing the sticks, and this can sometimes lead to accidentally clicking the back buttons.

  • Great review man! I had a few questions that i think you might have missed or I missed in the video. Approx.. How long did it take you to get the controller, where did you purchase it and how much was the total cost for you??

  • @BrentEarnest there is a link in the description for amazon.com, you can purchase it there. I actually pre-ordered it way back in November. I did next day air, because I'm impatient. Amazon has them listed at $99.99.

  • @ch4rliehus7 So it took two months for you to receive it??

  • @BrentEarnest no it actually only took a day. I put more order in prior to the actual release of the product. If you put your order in right now, the delivery will be a function of how you wish to ship it.

  • Awesome review man, you should definitely do more of these, you really know what you're talking about. One question here though about the sensitivity: Did you feel there was so much of a change that you had to change your in game sensitivity on games such as CoD/Halo? Or was it an only slight difference? Also, any reports on no-slow? That's one thing I really don't want in a new controller.

  • @DominicRead When I first plugged in the controller, I dropped my sensitivity from a 7 to a 6 on mw3, but I quickly returned to a 7. After closer inspection, the difference in the sticks is that they have a smaller deadzone. If you notice on your microsoft controller, the sticks move around a little bit before movement is registered. This is called deadzone. the mlg has far less, so this will makes my sensitivity feel higher b/c it is more responsive. This could just be because its brand new.

  • @DominicRead slow turn isn't really an issue in CoD or Gears titles, so I wouldn't be able to be accurate on this. However it says in about 8 different places on the box "no slow turn" so if it did, Mad Catz would have a lot of crow to eat.

The other good news is if, a stick starts acting up you can just swap it out without having to replace the whole darn thing.

  • @Segarele I hear you on the Onza thing, and the only way to know is the good ole test of time. However, this controller has a completely different feel right out of the box. I remember the Onza feeling poorly made right away. This thing feels solid. I feel like I could hammer nails with it and it would be fine. I never got that feeling from the onza.

But your absolutely justified in giving it some time in the wild. If anything weird happens to mine I'll be sure to post an update!

  • Fantastic review man! You basically more or less addressed all my concerns (I also take out the vibration in all my controllers btw!)

Pretty much sold me on the controller.

  • Charlie, how are the triggers resistance compared to the da3 and 360 controllers? Early reports of the triggers said they required ALOT of pressure to depress them, thanks in advance !

  • @CoolHandsM3 I wouldn't say a lot, I just spent ten trying to quantify what is different about the triggers. Maybe they have a little stiffer spring than a new microsoft, but if that a effects your gaming you might want to consult a physician! hehehe

In playing the triggers some closer attention it is evident that the travel is shorter than a microsoft. By no means a hair trigger, but it is shorter.

At the end of the day any difference is negligible between the MLG and the microsoft.

  • I had a couple of questions about UK availiblity in my messages, so I asked Mark Julio (@MarkManSDT on YT & @MarkMan23 on Twitter) the community manager for Mad Catz, here is his response: "@ch4rliehus7le @madcatzinc @mlg not yet but we'll announce our retail plans soon."

  • informative vid. Now I want to get this controller

  • informative video. no douchey editing screen wipes, fairly straight foward info. got a sub!

  • You're so full of knowledge!!

  • The MLG Pro Circuit controller IS compatible with Control Freeks.

  • Microsoft doesn't use "straight plugs" anymore on their wired mics (the cheap $20 ones), they use the right angle plugs and have been for a while. (U mention this at the 20 min mark)

  • @Kcazbarach oh, I didn't know that. I haven't used a microsoft mic in years. I've been using the Astro A40's for about a year now and the Tritton 720's before that. Maybe I'll do my next video on headsets...

  • First off great review. I have a question regarding the diameter of the analog sticks. I like to play with an add-on called kontrol freeks which is basically an extension which clips on top of the analog sticks so I was wondering if the diameter is the same as a standard PS3 or Xbox controller. From my personal measurement a standard Xbox controller is just over 11/16" in diameter. If you could measure the MLG controller for me it would save me a $100 gamble.

  • @TheRealTem4Elf I have some kontrol freeks laying around so I'll try mounting one later today.

  • @TheRealTem4Elf as @markmansdt said, the freeks will work. I tried my kontrol freeks on both the ps3 and the xbox sticks. It took a little more effort to get them on the ps3 sticks, but it is the same way with my set of evil sticks (ps3 style), so if you plan on using your freeks install the xbox sticks. They just seem to seat better on them.

  • @ch4rliehus7le

Okay thanks a lot. Just ordered mine today.

  • good review, my controller should be coming in later today. are the face buttons and bumpers mechanical like on the razer controller/?
