  • Read what Paul talks about. Look at his life YES you will suffer!! Check out 2 Timothy 3:12 Are you kidding. Francis Chan is right! How could Driscoll ask such a crazy non biblical question.

  • Sad that they will never realize they were wrong.

  • The last question was valid however, the word says my people

suffer from lack of wisdom ~ therefore, if there are hurt people,

souls in pain, people who need to realize truth, people being saved

by christ & filled because of Francis & his Evangelism,

without any serious conviction within Francis, then the Lords work is being

done immensely. Amen ~ Love ya Francis.. Your a great man of God !!

  • Mark's last question is an interesting one. I think it is an important one. But I also think it is pretty clear that Francis is a humble man after God's heart and his actions are born out of obedience, not out of false pretenses to gain sanctification through asceticism. Its good to hear from guys who really take their call to feed God's sheep seriously and hold each other to it.

  • Wow Francis Chan nailed it. Glory to God!

  • whyyyyy cant we all just get along. all serving the same christ, He said to love god and to love people. so whats the deal. how is this relevant at all to be a follower of christ. silly driscoll, pride is oosing out of that man. I shall pray for him lol. no but seriously.

  • i like how these guys come together to hold each other up as leaders in the Church here in America, but it bothers me when a pastor focuses on one other pastor just because he doesn't agree/believe the same another pastor does...

  • Driscoll's problem among others is that he thinks Chan's church only exists because of Francis Chan and nothing else! So does that mean Driscoll believes his church is big and growing only because he is the pastor? I think that makes it a cult. Driscoll is an embarrassment to Christians

  • Conference of the "me generation" Pastorhood. Sheesh! Quit whining about being too rich or successful and feed the sheep. Chan wants to start all over again with a group that lives perfectly according to scripture. He don't gottah start his own little cult. My previous comment which I didn't think too harsh was deleted, this probably will be also.

  • @jacobalexandermoore I agree. Driscoll made me catholic.

  • Mark Knows that he can be a little too strong with words and will mellow with age I am certain. They are both very wise God loving men. Do not be critical of them. The words they exchange, they exchange in love for one another. Do not make something out of it that it is not.

  • @swanz199 I wish i could drop Lewis or Tolkien in on this. Now that, that would be something i would pay money to watch.

  • @jacobalexandermoore You got that right brothah !

  • I had a respect for mark, buts it been a little challenged after this video. mark and Josh represent a young breed of pastors that have been influenced by culture and are caught up with their ministries. Lord help us to Love God more than ourselves, and people as much as we love ourselves.

  • why would anyone even want to watch this. what good will this bring to anything, will it help grow you as a christian? waste of time.

  • @jacobalexandermoore I agree. It's like watching a bunch of chicks on The View. I Can't imagine truly dynamic teachers and pastors like RC Sproul engaging in this.

  • @jacobalexandermoore

People will watch what they will watch. Is this gossip? No, so there's nothing wrong with wanting to watch this.

  • @JudgeEden im sorry i must have missed the part where i said it was wrong to want to watch this. I said it was a waste of time if you are trying to grow as a christian. Tons of stuff can be a waste of time without being wrong: tv, facebook, etc. Sorry i offended you though.

  • @jacobalexandermoore

    It's fine.

It is my opinion that everything wastes time, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. :)

  • The last question Mark asks (and the answer) totally exemplifies the feel and purpose of the interview/discussion.

  • I think the uploader has a (perhaps) jaded view of what's going on here? I don't think the two are "hammering away" at Chan, I believe that they are simply talking to Chan and trying to glean stuff from him. Chan, Harris, and Driscoll are insanely DIFFERENT speakers, pastors, and preachers, and that is shown adamantly here. Just because they don't have the same style or personality doesn't mean they're opposing each other.

CHURCH GROWTH IS NOT A COMPETITION.

  • Thank you Jesus for Francis and his depiction of your love.

  • Comment removed

  • The silly notion that suffering is a part of the sanctification process is bizarre. Suffering is promised to those who stand for the Gospel. We are NEVER to 'desire" or "pursue" suffering.

  • I'm just gonna say that Francis Chan ROCKS in all of his answers... Also, do not see how Mark Driscoll is hammering him on anything! Just good, honest questions and good honest answers.

  • Oh they are very convicted. What is wrong with giving all away to the poor and living for Christ? They REALLY DON'T GET IT.

  • If the church is getting "too big" maybe it needs not to be so big.

  • I'm very disappointed with this interview. It felt like an ambush. Driscoll and all of these mega church pastors have to get this "one pastor rules over everybody" thing out of their head. Chan trust the Spirit of God can take care of the people. There are OTHER PASTORS IN THE CHURCH why does HE NEED TO BE THERE SPECIFICALLY? They just DON'T GET IT! Grrrrrr.!

  • It's amazing to see these three men, completely different men, but we need them all and others like them. Different personalities seeking God.

  • Chan doesn't want to tweak old wineskins. & I agree.

  • I will say now and continue to say this: MARC DRISCOLL TALKS TOO MUCH.

  • francis hears the Lord. he should have left with no explanation.

  • @VandaL314 AMEN!

  • driscol shows no humility ever ..dude drives me crazy

  • I have a bad feeling about Mark Driscoll... just saying...

  • Francis Chan makes perfect sense. If he is responding to the Lord's voice, what give Driscoll and Harris the right to question it or tell him he is wrong? This was a sad attempt to make Francis look bad on camera, and I've just lost ALL respect for Driscoll and Harris. Good job.

  • OMG MY TWO FAVORITE PREACHES FROM YOUTUBE TOGETHER... CHAN AND DRISCOLL YEAH :D

  • I love Franchis Chan and that he loves the Lord and people. I think Mark Driscoll is a wolf in sheeps clothing and I was surprised by the Joshua Harris tag team, I thought Josh was better than that. tisk tisk. Josh needs better friends. That's all I have to say.

  • Mark's calling and conviction is to Give his life to Mars Hill. I love Mark and that he is so committed to that calling. I have also listened to all his podcasts and on multiple occasions he has preached that a person should not be bound by the convictions of others but the convictions the Holy Spirit has bound them to. But here Mark is binding Francis by His convictions. I also recall a guy in the Bible whose calling by God was to start churches, raise up leaders leave and repeat (Paul).

  • Ouch!!, you invite a pastor you don't like, set up a bunch of cameras, prepare a bunch of questions/insults......and then God decides to start talking through him and you end looking like proud, judgemental, bullies and he ends up looking like...well like Jesus. THIS was ordained by God.

  • @oluwaseun1987 very true, and keen, spiritual observation. Our brother Chan is confessing his faults, and following The Holy Spirit's leading! God blessed Francis with a godly wife, far beyond the value of mountains of rubies! The other option is tormenting! Before I drop a verse, I ask all single Christ followers (MARRY ONLY IN THE LORD!!) Ezekiel 12:2"Son of man, you live among rebels who have eyes but refuse to see. They have ears but refuse to hear. For they are a rebellious people.NLT

  • Chan > Driscoll

  • As iron sharpens iron-- honest and challenging discussions like this are healthy for any leader. This was helpful to watch on many levels. I am grateful for men that challenge my positions, and I've seen runaway leaders when others will not ask them hard questions. These questions can affirm, expose or tweak. This was helpful.

  • CHAN is an awesome person, totally aware

  • Wow. Cool discussion!

  • I have watched both Chan's and Driscoll's video "teachings" and I find that Driscoll is in error quite a bit.And he is also presumptuous, disrespectful towards the King of Kings ,for example, calling Yeshua "dude". I saw that Driscoll has a lot of books for sale on his websites...Chan hit it right on the head when he said that there are people who will try to keep the podcasts coming and going for the reason and motive of profit. You cannot serve God and Mammon both.Mammon is an actual demon.

  • does anybody else see any arrogance?

  • You go bro. Chan, keep your hand on the plow!

  • I agree with you michaelcome1

  • Interesting conversation..I think Francis is making the right decision.

  • This sounds like a very sound conversation between brothers in Christ. It doesn't sound like an "ambush" or anything like that. They're just asking questions and he openly answered them. Nice video :-)

  • What a blessing to have Francis Chan as a brother in Christ. Oh for more men to stand on their convictions in the Bible and walk the way of the cross. I can see by Chan's responses and words that he is a disciple of the Lord Jesus. Bless, keep and guide his steps Father in Jesus' name.

  • after reading these comments, it's apparent that chan is the man!

haha but seriously, he left for a good reason.

  • The description is very misleading. There are no large holes here. Chan is very open and should be admired for what he is saying and doing.

  • I don't see how they "poked" holes in anything! I don't even see how they were attacking him at all! From what I saw they all had grace in the conversation! I think it just human nature to try and make something out of nothing!!

  • Mark realy has no Idea what being sanctified in Christ realy means, He is complicating the whole issue, We are holy because Christ has made us holy. the world is completely sanctified by the cross it all comes down to belief whether we believe it or not, it does not matter if where rich or poor, sick, or healthy we are sanctified by His blood.

  • Comment removed

  • As for Marks' question and view on theology being based on sanctification coming through simplicity, poverty and suffering yet not achieving such or rather overachieving as a result of God’s blessings, I must say – Francis couldn’t have responded more truthfully, graceful and loving. The idea is not to hold on to prosperity but rather bless others by it as “it is more blessed to give than to receive”; thus this is how we show we love one another.

  • Jesus’ Great Commission was to “go and make disciples of all nations”, not only by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit but through the guidance of the Holy Spirit who is called to be our helper. I see Francis upholding this command, Praise God.

  • Mark Driscoll is being extremely prideful at that moment and he needs to repent. Instead of thinking about himself and how he looks in front of his congregation he should think about his brother who was about to make a very faith testing move...

  • @georgefaris007 Mark Driscoll prideful? are you kidding me? he's the most humble, loving pastor on the planet! How dare you insult him! His cult, I mean church, continues to grow while putting women in their place. His theology is foolproof and deserves the continued accolades of the uneducated and ignorant. Chan is the idiot focusing discipleship and the needy like Jesus said. We should continue to worship Driscoll and not Jesus (ha ha)

  • did he really say "fu man chu"? is that not slightly racist? gosh....i'm with Chan.

  • @marionetemanJ I'm sorry but I fail to see what your comment has to do with mine...? For the record, I'm a pastor (and obviously, a Christian)...so I think you have completely misunderstood my comment maybe???

  • @kazzowary

I know right... He said "fu man chu" and I'm like... What? o_0

  • Large holes? What large holes? I watch, and listen to this and agree with Francis!

  • Lord Please give me the kind of heart Chan has. One that is willing to relinquish everything for your cause and glory.

  • @Lahi55 ur absolutely rite its not about power, money (though I truly believe money is essential to maintaining a ministry), and fame wasn't Christ's, the way I see it Christians have adopted to much of a worldly perspective on how the body of Christ should be operating and so when ppl like Chan who finally step out and say hey the Mega movement isn't the new testament standards then he gets harped on for it, I believe God will truly bless Chan for taking such a radical risk for souls

  • @lahi53 so Wuts ur definition of success and sanity? I'll tell u mine success comes from my ability to be obedient unto God and his purpose in my life, and without God keeping my sanity I would go insane such as backsliding

  • @torno1988 Absolutely, I agree. I just think we get off track when we try to move the world's model for success into the church. The world says that money, power, and fame are the measures of a good life, and when we make that the standard for being successful in the Kingdom, I think we've gotten off track. Its the opposite of what Jesus taught. They seemed to have a hard time with Chan leaving a "successful" ministry in terms of numbers to follow God, and I don't think that's crazy at all.

  • The idea too that someone would be considered "crazy" by other Christians for giving up money, power, and and influence is disturbing to me...as if following Jesus means being successful by the worlds standards (only within the Church). No, following Jesus means going wherever He calls, and often - both in His time and today - that means walking away from these worldly definitions of "success" and "sanity."

  • I didn't think they found any "large holes," Chan seemed to explain himself quite well. Does God use dynamic people to lead large churches with complicated organizational structures? Sure. But I believe he also calls us away from these modes of worship at times - and sometimes He calls away those who might have otherwise been leading powerful mega-churches (People like Shane Claiborne and CS Lewis come to mind). God still calls people today to live in the simplicity seen in the Acts Church.

  • Just be careful trying to be what you ain't.

  • Mark Driscoll is so weird.. I've never liked him. I honestly think he seems like he is always having a go at people. How do so many people like him?

  • I believe Francis Chan has a genuine heart for ppl living in third world countries, however I don't believe God desires his ppl to live in poverty, I do believe God challenges his ppl to place their trust in him to provide all their NEEDS and not WANTS, I believe Chan wants to break away from the AMERICAN mindset that's so saturated in MATERIALISM.

  • It seems like the other pastors are judging Francis? Seems a little hypocritical...

  • Mark Driscoll is a piece of shit

  • Why are there so many different religions?

  • why do are you surprised that Francis doesn't know everything. Do you think Mark Driscoll knows everything about God's plans for him. Why do you feel the need to make Chan seem flawed. he is. so is mark. So is everyone. Thats why we need a Christ. Grow up in the Spirit. Francis Chan is not outside of normal Christian theology. He is in humility following his God. Like we all should be doing.

  • @speakwitness Amen:) Why do we have to have an answer for everything? Faith seems to often be about following Jesus even when we don't know where he's taking us, or why. And sometimes that call is away from the world of highly structured, organized religion.

  • CHRIST THE LORD IS KING TURN TO HIM

  • Francis Chan is the Man! Talk about handling attacks with Grace - WOWSA.

  • @JustinIsAlwaysWright If you're saying that in a derogatory way....You need to change....

  • I really appreciate videos like these. They are talking about deep issues and questions that true Christians go through and I am so thankful to hear my two favorites Mark and Francis conversing and trying to understand eachother!!! Great discussion, supportive questions, love it!

  • good questions

  • The Bible says God takes the "foolish things" to confound the wise, and Chans approach to ministry, behavior, and personality, puts flesh and bones on that scripture.

  • I look at this and wonder if these other guys are a little jealous. Here's a guy, Chan, who is wildly successful financially, and he wants to give it away and not horde it, here's a guy who has a fantastic loving big congregation, and he wants to leave it and help others, Radical? Not bry Biblical standards,IMO. How many ministers have the courage to embrace what this,"crazy prophetic dreamer" embraces?

  • While not the topic they were supposed to speak on I do feel it is an honestly and challenging conversation done in love. The questions are fair and constructive.

I really appreciated the conversation on sanctification: poverty vs. prosperity theology. God can use people in either situation in different ways. Focus should be on love for God and others, whether God entrusts us with a little or a lot. Parable of the talents comes to mind.

  • I don't see any "tearing into" in this video. I'm not sure if there was more that people are commenting on, but it seemed like positive well intentioned questions that exposed the genuine heart of Francis.

  • Say what you want, Driscoll and Harris are speaking out of conviction. Francis Chan helped plant and build a church and left it in capable hands to pursue the Spirit's call on his life. (Paul's Example). This is not loving admonishment, this was an attempt to ambush on camera, this wasn't even the topic they were supposed to be speaking on. Fact is, it is okay to have more than what you need, but God does ABSOLUTELY call us to give out of that abundance.

  • i dig francis. my favorite pastor by far.

  • Mark Driscoll is so annoying sometimes! All he does is bash on stuff! His little "rant" about The Shack was obnoxious, and now he's tearing into Francis? Come on Mark.. stop complaining and preach the GOSPEL!

  • Francis is a great role model for Mark to follow. I am glad Mark has a man like Francis in his life.

  • Interesting username from the uploader. I can't see how you could both hate church and follow Christ. Christ loved the Church, and it is his body to whom he is the Saviour. The church is the family of God, the pillar and ground of the Truth.

There is no perfect church, because it's made up of people. We need only focus on the Cross, and if we're living a godly life within the church, we and the church will bear fruit - if not, we won't.

  • @MrSuperCollider basic series? lol thats good

  • Comment removed

  • @MrSuperCollider that looked like sarcasm lol. it wasn't i love this

  • Thanks for demonstrating some of the problematic attitudes present in the American church, Driscoll and Harris. If the (little c) church is just a tool to disciple the (big c) Church, then it is not working. Fix it if you like, but don't knock the guy who just wants to start from only the biblical example of how to do church.

  • I love Francis. Even though Mark makes some decent points, his level of condescension is too much.

I have been struggling with the same thoughts as Francis and realize that maybe most of us are wrong about the way we have been living as Christians

  • Wow! Shapen me! I want to be around men like that

  • I don't see any "hammering," as the description puts it. All I see are God-loving brothers having an open, respectful, and honest discussion about the Kingdom of God. I believe this is what the bible refers to as "iron sharpening iron." Nor do I see Driscoll and Harris finding "large holes" in Chan's ministry. He is posed with some challenging questions about his methods, but he meets them with solid reasons, with which Driscoll and Harris seem satisfied.

  • Francis Chan loves God.

  • Driscoll and Harris = two blind pharisees too afraid to believe in different possibilities. Their patronizing in this video is blatant. Mr Chan, you are a bigger man than I for responding with such poise.

  • The thing about Chan: He ADMITS that he has never had it all together and still doesn't. And that he is on this CONSTANT journey to figure life and God's plan out. Driscoll's responses all sound planned out and like he had the "perfect" words to say, while Chan was more answering as the question came up, and he was honest even if he didn't quite know the answer.

  • I would love to see Jesus walk in this room. Throw the table and really tell them what HIS vision He has for His bride. I pray for these men to be delivered of the religious spirit. I keep hearing this dude say "i think", stop THINKING!!! VANITY

  • And that these "Institutional" Churches would carry on in a series of successive ordinations, ordaining to the office of overseer and pastor those who had the calling and were fit for the office, whenever there needed to be a new leader, or when the overseers office became vacant either through death or resignation.

Instead, today, we have denominations, and people again starting their "own" churches without the approval of another church established by the Lord.

  • What gives them the right to start their own church? brothers and sisters if we question these things then we will know who is really controlling the institutional church.

From what I see in Scripture so far, it is clear that the original intention of Our Lords will was that the church (both people and as an institution) be "One", and it was his will that "His" Institutional Church would carry on in a plurality of "Overseers" in various Cities, held accountable by one another....

  • The "Mainstream" Institutional American Church is nearly committing Apostasy in the way it governs its church government. Nowhere in Scripture do I see that local congregations are supposed to have "boards" , CEO's, Executives, and someone fresh out of seminary going out buying a piece of land and starting their own "church".

Whatever happened to the way local congregations were established prior to American Capitalism?... the city churches of the 1-3rd centuries?

  • these guys are too churched and annoying

  • Comment removed

  • @sorenkierkegaard2008 - I don't want to question your "discernment" lol, but do you think this man would move to a whole other continent and be on his 5th child while on leave if homosexuality was the issue only to practice homosexuality? I doubt it, but hey, Eddie Long didn't have leave his church in order to practice homosexuality. He did it within the chuch.

  • @sorenkierkegaard2008 that is a rather large assumption based on, factually, nothing. I pray that none of these prominent church leaders are practicing secret sexual sin and pray also that they stay strong so as not to lead their flocks astray. I would encourage you to be careful with your feelings :)

  • The problem is that Driscoll and Harris don't get that something is wrong with evangelical Christianity, while Chan does and wants to do something about it. I wish Chan was more lovingly truthful about what he has learned to be true and about what the church is supposed to be in this interview.

  • Mark Driscoll is a boss... A BOSS!!!

  • @porker119: it's like saying "my family" or "my friends". English is a messy language. Nothing more than that.

  • @matthew4031 That is a good point, but it's not entirely like that. They are "our family and friends" in the sense that they belong to one another, but christ doesn't belong to us, we belong to him. That shows that he his the head. The point I was trying to get across is that if someone is ignorant of this information (in other words they aren't a christian) it's going to have a different connotation to them compared to the believer, so we should say it so it's not "messy"

  • So what are the "holes" in Chan's theology?

  • There's only a few voices out there saying these things because only a select few (the clergy) are holding the microphone. Enough with celebrity Christianity! "Do not lord it over each other like the Gentiles.." We are all brothers!

  • Driscoll & Harris are missing the point entirely. I think they simply feel convicted-thus defensive over someone more concerned about what God wants them to do versus what they want to do.

  • @Laullers4JC - Well said. I like Mark Driscoll's delivery when preaching, but I disagree with some of what he says. I've never been able to deal with Josh Harris' delivery, (too boring), and I disagree with a lot of what he says. Regardless, both men have some good things to say. Here, however, they've missed the point entirely.

  • of course they mock him because Chan is a Master's guy

  • cant stand mark driscoll. is there a more arrogant pastor?

  • Comment removed

  • isn't Francis beeing mocked here a bit?

  • For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. - 2 Corinthians 1:4-6

I know what they mean when they say seeking suffering to puff yourself up. Pastor Mark is twisting that, and it's all flesh. If you follow Christ, there will be suffering period.

  • How has Francis Chan gotten so far when he doesn't seem to really think anything through? Crazy.

  • Francis Chan who preached Lukewarm and loving it is considered as a gospel that's too radical.

Rob Bell's new book "Love Wins", is considered as a gospel that's too easy.

It appears to me that the western church wants a gospel that's not too radical and that's not too easy, which gives you a church that loves being in the middle of both extremes? You are nether Hot nor Cold? Looks Lukewarm.

  • @kingodmseed1 WAY TO MANY LOVE GOSPEL PREACHERS are false teachers leading people str8 to hell.

  • @davfrui A.W. Pink wrote a small pamphlet called "The Gospel of Satan." I would recommend reading it because it reveals the power of the antichrist spirit working against the true Spirit of God. The power of antichrist spirits that are already at work (1 John 1:18) to destroy the power of the Gospel of the Kingdom. I would say that the gospel is being robed of its power unto righteousness.

  • @kingodmseed1 This is simply one of the most accurate things i've read on YouTube. Well said.

  • sdfagfdsag

  • Francis has reveiled the truth about selfless disiples of christ and the drifting many brands of churchs praise God for the Sydney Church of Christ boronia centre rawson st epping sun 10.00am

  • @Earthfart Forgotten God, not Invisible God.

  • The video description is misleading, it sets up the idea that Driscoll and Harris are attacking Chan when that is not at all the case.

  • For all of you non-christians out there, here is what you see:

three rich, powerful christian ministers who are living the american dream.

One- francis chan, is stepping back because he took a look at the gospel and is kind of confused by discrepancies in his sheltered world and that of the Bible. He doesn't really know where he's going, he just wants to go, without giving up the riches, of course.

The other two are obviously concerned about somebody shaking the comfy nest.

  • Where does Mark Driscoll preach?

  • @museruls His church is in Seattle.

  • Erwin Raphael McManus' book, The Barbarian Way, throws a perspective that i thought was good in the first chapter about the idea of giving all your stuff away. If you know anyone who has it i would ask to borrow it or buy it if you can, its a great book cover to cover. ps this sounds like an add but im just suggesting some reading if you're interested.

  • The first time I've heard of Chan. I think he's got the right perspective. I totally agree with him.

  • Super good, inspiring conversation! Thank you for posting this

  • Beware not to stand in judgement, it is not yours. THIS IS NOT ABOUT JOSH AND MARK PICKING FRANCIS APART!!!! Mark is not advocating that what Chan is doing is wrong!!! He is doing what a brother should do, and that is keep him in check - all of them good questions that Francis needed to answer (and had considered already before making his move). Francis used this to allow us to know he has answered those questions and is following Christ where the Spirit leads...

  • If the man feels as though he's lead by the Lord to go help people who want to hear and receive the word, then that's where it ends.. Mark and this other guy are just being convicted themselves. Instead of stomping on brother Francis' toes they should be encouraging him to go after the Lord even more. Francis does not have to answer to me, Mark, you or anybody for that matter, but the Lord!! Keep doing what ur doing brother, pickup that cross, I C nothing but pride in the both of these guys.

  • @KalebSims1 But here's the thing...if Driscoll wants to counsel a Christian brother in Chan, he can pick up the phone to him anytime..or talk to him before or after the cameras are on. What he did here..in front of a camera..was turn what I think was intended to be a chat between three equals into a "give Chan a good talking to" sesion. If I were Chan I would find that intensely patronising.

  • Liberty is from Christ these guys will not leave comfort, praise of men. This is an indictment to others whom cannot understand true liberty. What law constrains Mr. Chan.? Phillip went to the desert he did not have others around to constrain. God wants to sanctify you through prosperity?. We are called to suffer. It is not optional. It is given to you on the behalf of Christ not only to believe on Him but also to suffer for His sake.Liberty is fearful, confusing to those who don't have it.

  • Praise god that he is laying down fading glory for the glory for our king and god.

We should be like him and get back to one truth that god love us and held nothing back for us. Let us die to self and follow Jesus

  • If you are a christian. Pray that people will not only help Third-World Countries, but to also realize that America needs a lot more help, and love. Selflessness is needed, break the self that the media and music industry has instilled into the sheep of the world, so that they may be led by the anointed one. Thumbs Up if you'll pray for guidance for the world.

  • its a good thing he is leaving the church because he is telling people that tithing is not for christians...something is not right with this guy. he is confused pray for him.

  • Conjecture from both Harris and Driscoll, they think multisite is always the answer and it's not. Sometimes you can step aside and let a capable elder step into that role.

  • ONLY Jesus and Francis Chan know what he is doing by leaving his church...Why are these men picking Chan apart for all to see? Its between HIM AND JESUS. Good grief guys...give the man the grace of letting him and Jesus do what they are doing...Chan even said...A lot of this is personal...Thats HIS choice with Jesus. It doesnt matter if you "feel" like he dropped the ball...Let Chan and Jesus figure this out for Francis Chan and his life....

  • @Chancey9300 yea i dont get that either. i understand that it sounds weird and unusual but if God has called him to do this then they should just say "you know what? i dont get it but if this is what you are called to do then i support you and i will pray for you"

  • Joshua Harris needs to go back to his relationship books. He doesnt belong.

  • Not a bad clip, even if Josh Harris is lame.

  • these guys are good men of God and its just a brotherly love interview. and there mind IS ON JESUS!! its okay to laugh a bit. amen? Humor...God made it!! i really appreciate edifiyimg video amonst the brethren in this clip. God Bless in Jesus Mighty Name!!

  • One last observation: Chan is asking the right questions, I am not sure about Driscoll and Harris.

  • Francis Chan should go where God calls him. He is not wanting to hold onto a kingdom in his name... He wants to follow Christ. Driscoll appears to want to hang on to his kingdom and his popularity. Jesus said to pick up your cross and follow me. He really seems to be promoting a middle class Christianity. Not too much suffering, not too much success... and What if God wants Francis Chan to do something radical. Materialism is rampant. Chan is not trying to find a way to suffer.

  • i find it funny how Mark Driscoll comments on Chan leaving his church to travel and preach everywhere when he just got done doing the same thing and is leaving again in January...

  • How are more churches going to be planted and more people reached with the Good News unless people are willing to leave their current residence, church and lifestyle to do that? The church is made to move, so why are we criticizing someone who is trying to live out the Gospel more fully among people who really need it? And why aren't we talking more about whether we are too comfortable and not reaching out enough?

  • This video is giving me kind of a headache. I haven't heard Jesus mentioned once and i stopped 10 minutes into the video.... FIX YOUR EYES ON JESUS brothers.

  • I haven't read much comments, but my eyebrow was raised within the first minute of this video. Mr. Chan is asked, what is going to happen to YOUR church? The church is the body of christ. If the church is the body of christ and it is him who saves, then on what grounds can we refer to any part of the church as anyone elses but God's. No man has ever started a church. People become part of the church when the Lord saves them.

  • @porker119 I think that having read and listened to much of these men's teachings I think it would be wrong to assume that Driscoll meant the church belongs to Francis. In the New Testament we see very clearly that leaders are entrusted with leadership of the local "church." The question is obviously, "What is going to happen to the church you have been entrusted with as their shepherd." Mark would be the first one to rise up and defend the supremacy of Christ as the head of the church.
