This animated movie is eerie in the sense that it captures the physics of the world we know, and yet, we are aware it is all generated. Attention to detail has not been spared; having said that, the child does not fool me, as there is something unnatural about him. There is something unnatural about all the humans in this movie, and I cannot quite put my finger on it. Perhaps it is the underlying facial geometry? It is certainly not the rendering!
aniBOOM has always been about showcasing good animated shorts, no matter where they're from, I don't understand why people are complaining, just stfu and enjoy it and if you don't like it, DON'T WATCH.
Doesn't look real, doesn't look entertaining, doesn't look creative and has no appeal................motion capture technology can crawl in a hole and die for all I care
the only way i can see this tech paying off is if they perfect if for video games.
For me, Disney has always been the McDonald's of the movie industry; the packaging is pretty but in the end we always end up eating the same regurgitated pablum. A friend of mine told me, "Every animator would like to work for Disney but there isn't an animator that wants to stay with Disney." So while I appreciate you sharing some pretty animation of theirs I would really have prefered something original - even if you had to scrape it from the bottom of your shoe. Just my opinion...
having only just discovered aniBOOM and thought "by jove this is excellent!" i felt disgusted when i saw the six letters that say to me: corporate greed, annoying teen pop idols and ruthless expansion......Disney
i thought aniboom was about average joe's like me creating animations and sending them in. this is a clip of a disney. unfortunately i have to thumbs this down as its made by a big corporation with professional equipment. sorry about that.
@crazymate2000 Yes, you're right. Disney is not the same as an independent animator, they indeed have much more resources in order to create their films. Aniboom is about showcasing as wide a range of animation as we can - professional studios included. We are all for our independent animators and do all we can to promote them, but once in a while we might do something a little different. :)
@aniBOOM your right. im sorry Im just used to non professional animations on here. i have no right to tell you what to put on your channel. Aniboom is such a great source animation. my apologize.
Hmm I have mixed feelings about this one. I mean sure it looks great and the animation is really amazing, however, it was made by a big corporation. I guess I always though of aniboom as people or group of people sharing their animations for opportunities. Dinsey does not need this kind of advertisement and I feel like this video shouldn't be on aniboom. It's unfortunate but I'll have to thumbs this down.
@MaxTheHat Like I replied to @crazymate2000 and @RobyllPhotos, what you say is true - Aniboom is mainly a place for independent animators to have their work showcased and receive comments from fellow animators and viewers. However, we are also about showing a wide range of animations, even if it is from a large corporation. The animation in this clip is stunning, so we thought it would be nice to share it with you all.
@aniBOOM bull, it was done by a real kid running on a green stage, doing all these same moves then made digital, i call it extreme mocap, but it's not animation just cgi, i think it's a waste of money
@aniBOOM I completely agree on that, though the story isn't too interesting by the looks of it. I might be wrong, Disney had shown some good concepts before.
@aniBOOM Very well then. Thank you for replying to my comment, I was sure it would just get dismissed as just another rant. I will definitely reconsider my opinion.
@1StarRed No, we did not receive any sort of compensation from Disney for featuring their clips. We liked the animation and thought our viewers would enjoy it too.
@RobyllPhotos Yes, this is a clip from "Mars Needs Moms". People from Disney uploaded it to aniboom.com and we decided to feature it since the animation is (obviously) really good. We thought viewers would enjoy the sneak peak.
this movie sucked! and it made less than 20 million worldwide, now disney is cancelling alot of CGI movies, including the beatles one :( Thanks Mars Needs Moms
WTF?!? First he wants them to let his mom go, then he wants them to let him go, then he realises he is in a spaceship and completely forgets about his mom.
Yes, if not the lubricants will vapourise. And lubricants that don't require pressurisation are expensive and the hydraulics would extend in a vacuum because they require back pressure to hold them in place.
@7Rafe7 i know you. don't have to rub in in my face and get that one that makin me feel bad into the top comments.im just going to remove it so nobody else does that.

I don't think they could have made the dialogue any worse if they'd tried. You couldn't pay me to take a kid to see this movie.
