I have Jewish ancestors but I don't identify as Jewish myself, nor do my parents; but when it got about at my school that I had Jewish ancestors people, who I had know for years and who were my friends, & who weren't bad or racist decided it would b funny 2 throw penneys at me in the expectation that I would want any money I could lay my little greedy Jewish hands on, even though they all knew I'm Buddhist. That such a thing could happen makes it seem Antisematism must still be a big problem.

The majority of attacks on Jews in Britain and in France are from mainly asian muslim youths. This program avoided mentioning this basic fact. Once again Muslims are not held to account. Muslims in my area are becoming more and more racist. They not only abuse Jews, but now they are having a go at the hindu community.

George Orwell's old essay "Antisemitism in Britain" is pretty good. Has some good quotables on the irrationality of antisemitism.

Apparently the Israeli woman had been told beforehand by Campbell that the Guardian CiF section was off-limits for discussion and that nobody would be interested in the non-publication of the Balen report on BBC impartiality (or lack of it!) concerning Israel.
