  • Its clear he cant compare to that fuckin beast the eagles have in the backfield now. but i love Westbrook i wish he could suit up one more time and go out there and let Vick hand him the rock.

  • Westbrook was a great running back he didn't do what most backs do today which is dancing around. I'll give it to McCoy because he's good at it and that's what he does best but the others dance too much and don't progress up the field. Brian Westbrook will be forever missed and is still my favorite runner.

  • he was a punt returner? i only remember he was a rb

  • @palesoulja519 he was in his early years then stopped

  • While Mcnabb and Owens were soaking up all the media attention, Brian Westbrook and this O-line were breaking big ones against some of the best defenses in years.

  • now that we have shady McCoy, i dont miss westbrook at all

  • I would ponder to have Westbrook back on the Eagles.

  • nice moves

  • My fucking lifetime Idol

  • Can't believe he doesn't have a job.

  • such an underrated player. humble and just fucking beast.

  • so underrated

  • Lesean Mccoy's mentor right there! philly misses you b west!

  • Brian Westbrook = GIANT KILLER

  • those were the days

  • Injuries are a bitch... Westbrook was such a versitile running back. He led the damn Eagles in RECEIVING and CATCHES back in those days. A running back! WTF.

  • Probably one of the more entertaining running backs. Too bad Andy Reid ran him into the ground and ruined his Eagles career.

  • Lesean Mccoy's been tearin it up in philly, but im always gonna remember that number 36

  • 2:33 that is what you all kickass blocking

  • Man early 2000s eagles were the best! Westbrook, McNabb, Dawkins, Trot, Kearse, sheldon brown. Owens was a fag, but atleast he was somewhat productive

  • @27Dawkins the only person on your list that would be better than the modern eagles is dawkins

  • @prkfcmdz2 Agreed. Dawkins is my favorite player!

  • 2:33 is the best part

  • like this if u want westbrook to be an eagle again

  • i hope he becomes an eagle again like he say he wanted to

  • the irony at 2:05 is incredible...hes #20 on the 49ers right now, and look who he just stiffarmed! oooop

  • 3:38 is crazy shake

  • best RB in eagles history

  • @illuminati227 You must never heard of or SEEN a running back named Wilbert Montgomery. I've them all since 1964 and Wilbert was not only easily the best running back in Eagles history, He's one of the best PLAYERS AND RUNNING BACKS IN LEAGUE HISTORY. His career was cut short by injury, but trust me, EVERY SINGLE TIME HE TOUCHED THE BALL, HE WAS A THREAT TO GO ALL-THE-WAY!!! Vermeil used him as a wide out too, especially in the Superbowl. Most disciplined runner ever. Hit a hole - cut - gone TD!

  • bring the boy back home!

  • One of the most intelligent Football Players I have ever seen in my life along with Roger Staubach and Jerry Rice. Hard to explain in this little caption, but those 3 players just did crazy intelligent shit on the field. I SWEAR WESTBROOK KNEW WHERE EVERYBODY'S RESPONSIBILITIY WAS ON THE BLOCKING SCHEMES PASSING ROUTES - EVERYTHING!!! ONE HELLUVA AN ATHLETE AND THIS IS A SMOKING VIDEO LOVE IT!!!!!

  • he may be coming back to the eagles

  • there is a report on NFL . com that he might be coming back home!

  • Great video love westbrook mad to see him go but he kept getting injuried

  • im a skins fan, but this guy was just a fuckin beast, soo damn glad that hes out of the NFC east, now we got desean to worry about lol

  • Lol i swear i watch this video everytime i get bored... 82 likes and 0 dislikes, thats called respect son! good vid!

  • love this video

  • this is what it means to be an eagle.

  • brian westbrook is so good at his running plays but then he got old and got hurt so now he sucks

  • i love the eagles

  • i hate westbrook cuzz he left now fan of running back lasean mccoy still a big eagles fan

  • THERES ALOT OF EAGLES PLAYERS I WISH WE STILL HAD LIKE BDAWK SHELDON BROWN AND BWEST

  • good vid

    westbrooks a great athlete

  • Give Westbrook just enough room and he'll make anyone look stupid.

  • WOW... I forgot how amazing he was in his prime..... can you imagine if the Eagles had him in his prime now with Vick and Jackson?

  • With the right team now. 49ers!

  • @kevkevtv fuck the 49ers Westbrook dont give a shit about that fucking team he will always bleed green you dumb bitch

  • dude is back. freakin awesome. he will be beastin for the 9ers. i love this guy.

  • I still rep my Eagles Westbrook jersey even though hes with the 9ers now

  • Brian in his prime was the most electrifying player I ever saw. I don't think there was ever a such dual threat like him coming out of the backfield. It's truly a shame that he had those concussions that set him back, but also the wear and tear on a smaller back also had a lot to do with that. Brian is one of those players that you will tell your kids and grand kids about, and I will always remember him. Oh yeah... Go Eagles.

  • Brian's style was the epitome of running and cutting while keeping the shoulder pads low. He was such a classic RB.

  • damn good blocks too

  • 2:32 on till the end of the play is the definition of beast

  • After seeing this video i now see why the eagles released him...he lost his step :( sad to say

  • im an eagles fan but i hope Westbrook scores a TD this sunday

  • #36 was unstoppable in his prime. he carried the eagles for years.. much love westbrook I will rock your jersey forever..

  • @BREW343812 Amen to that! He will always be an eagle.

  • Dagum why'd we have to lose Westbrook its a real shame.

  • Still my starting RB on Madden 11, nothing but love for 36. One of the most underrated, and greatest Runningbacks in the game.

  • The good old days B West still on philly!!! One the most underated players ever

  • I just bought my Westbrook jersey a year ago too and now we dont have him...He used to be my favorite player. Its a shame

  • I dont mind the Niners winning the Super Bowl...This guy deserves a ring!!

  • another franchise player eagles got rid of

  • 49ers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks Westbrook for all you did for Philly. You had more heart then McNaab that's for sure. Stay healthy good luck with your new team.

  • Comment removed

  • Correction to Nick1944 - Frank Gore IS the most underrated RB of this generation.

  • @mista808 ya underrated by morons who dont know what football is.......... idk about ur family or friends but all mine know who gore is.... i dont think hes underrated at all.

  • A healthy Westbrook is a DAAANGEROUS Westbrook!!!!!

  • welcome to the Niners babii !! woot woot!

  • GO NINERS Welcome to the crimson and the gold westbrooke, good addition for the 9ers,were going to dominate our division thumbs up if u agree

  • RED & GOLD !!!

  • NINERS BABY

  • now 49er!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 9ers!!!!!

  • @mannyphresh1 were gonna tear shit up. gore, dixon, and now westbrook. so savage

  • did not realize how patient of a runner he was till i watched his highlights, smart enough to wait for blocks to develop then has amazing acceleration through the gaps

  • song??

  • when westy was in his prime, just electric. his cuts were orgasmic

  • is b-west with the rams now? would be interesting. westbrook and bradford.... unpredictable offense.

  • I don't know if I can watch the Eagles again since Westbrook has been released. He was my favorite all-time pro athlete to watch, in any sport.

  • pure embarrassment for that guy on San Fransisco at 3:38 lol

  • 2:33 WOW he just pretty much ran straight up the field. Granted the dolphins suck but that is impressive nonetheless

  • @captainkunty haha i kno right... it looks like every1 else is in slow motion and he is the only one moving

  • DEMATHA STAGSSS!!!!!!

  • i know im going to be hated for this but westbrook should sign with eagles this way if mccoy gets injured and cant continue b.wes is back in action or maybe just put him in for couple plays like with vick i mean come on you need some kind of leader on that team and westbrook is that guy

  • B. West is on the downside, but I think he may still have something left in the tank. If Reggie Bush can be more consistent,he could be just like Westbrook. Bush has hands just like B.West. If the Eagles have a wall of fame Westbrook should be on it.

  • my nigga, crazy ass player who wont show off like other fag rbs

  • @jucyfruit90 lol, no one in mind...Chad Ochocinco

  • Im going to miss Westbrook but it is time. Lesean Mccoy is faster he has more agility and is smaller and is way more explosive then Westbrook Lesean Mccoy is going to be like a Brian Westbrook ~unleashed~ this upcoming season farwell #36 its time for the #25 era to begin.

  • @eagleboy201 trust me it is not time we shuduve kept him mccoy is faster by a little but west def. has more agility and strengh. westbrook still has a few elite years in him if he stays healthy.

  • @catalit56 No Mccoy is faster by a lot and has more agility he has a sick spin move did you see what he did against dallas? he embarrassed there defense it is his time he cant just sit on the bench for the next 3 years and hide in Westbrooks shadow. Why was Mccoy in the game the majority of the second half in the final game against dallas and Westbrook was on the sideline and it was a playoff game?

  • Brian is my favorite RB of all time, he's my idol in football!!!!

  • Im a skins fan, and even tho the skins eagles rivalry is famous, I always loved brian westbrook and mcnab, but now, I can go back to hating them lol, eagles fucked up!

  • one of the most underrated rb's of all time. he could do EVERYTHINGH and did it well, caused sooo many problems dfor defenses.

youll always be loved in philly , Brian

  • he may just break Barry Sanders record. Good luck Philly.

  • @wesley75angel only if he get picked up

  • There goes my hero along wiht McNabb :'(

  • 3:39 - 3:40 ......damn......

  • eagles gonna suck without Mcnabb

  • @TheJ35T3R no

  • if it wasnt for all the injuries he had, he would still be a eagle :(

  • Damn! I never really saw the way Brian ran. He's a fuckin bad ass!!!

  • Best video out of the Eagles best player ever.

  • @74kmd no im gonna have to disagree with that West36 was great but not the best

  • @74kmd He wasent the eagles best player the eagles best player goes by the name of Desean Jackson.

  • @eagleboy201 I feel Westbrook is the Eagles best RB all time (closely followed by Wilbert Montgomery). As much as I like DeSean, I do not have him on any Eagles All time team at WR. Harold Carmichael has that job.

  • @74kmd Well Desean is going into his 3rd year he is very young and look how good he is by the time his career is over he will probly be in the HOF and you better make room on that all time team cause Desean is gonna be the greatest eagles WR of all time. Im not garating anything but it just seems that way by what he has done so far and he is only going to get better.

  • @eagleboy201 We obviously root for the same team and are therefore on the same side. I also like DeSean, but I don't go putting 3rd year players in the HOF. I hope he does achieve it though.

  • @74kmd Im not saying he will be in the HOF all im saying is by what he is doing so far it looks like he could have a chance at the hall of fame BY THE TIME HIS CAREER IS OVER in like 10 or 15 years IF HE KEEPS IT UP and keeps getting better. There is a lot of IF'S but Desean has HOF potential the sky is the limit for him. Eagles are going to the superbowl this year (hopefully) lol

  • Cowboy, Giant and Redskin killer....

  • Brian Westbrook and Brian Dawkins were the heart and soul of the Philadelphia Eagles.

  • are there any news if he has got a new team? or will he retire or what?

  • 3:17 was fucking sick....

  • How could The Eagles realease Brian he is the best RB that the eagles have ever have!!!!

  • I hope the Packers get him,What great talent

  • yo brian dont worry da eagles released u cuz ther dumasses. u have dominated football and of course are beast

  • @catalit56 he was injury prone and wasnt producing it was the perfect time to release him

  • A prime Westbrook had zero flaws. The man was a great runner, even better pass-catcher, elite in pass-protection, never committed a penalty, and he could get the tough yards. It will be a long time before we see somebody like this again.

  • @jny107921 hell yeah

  • since he became a starter, he was the entire fuckin offense the first few games of every season while mcnabb was working out the kinks. I love #5 but it's the truth. complete football player and I loved him almost as much as Dawk

  • Man why can't the Eagles let at least one great recent player retire as an Eagle? Common, Brain Dawkins, and now Brian Westbrook this is bs

  • @Snakeeyes0101 how bout mcNabb? Lito, Sheldon... This sucks

  • wow this is the definition of how good he was he carried that team alot he can catch an run truly a great back better than LT in my opinion

  • The man period. Thanks for uploading.

  • One of the greatest running backs to play the game. I feel bad because i don't think he will ever get the recognition he deserves.

  • Thanks for re-uploading this video!

  • Wow, aseomse video, pretty high quality. Bwest is the man...he's carved up so many teams. look at some of those highlights vs the dolphins you can see him beast zach thomas

  • found out this morning and didnt believe it til i seen it myself he has been incredible im sad to see him go he was 1 of the most entertaining players on the eagles HE WILL BE MISSED but never forgotten

  • i heard goin after Chester Taylor...the back-up for AP for the VIKS. HE a underated power back. That would be a great free agent signing.

  • im a huge eagles fan- but how the fuck can we release brian westbrook? he has been so humble and has done so much. we would definitely not be where we are right now if it wasnt for him. we should reward him with a sb, not a release. this is one of the dumbest decisions by the coaching staff. it breaks my heart. he still would have been elite. he should still be on the eagles.

  • im an eagles fan too, but i think the reason why hes released is that hes to old and gets injured too much. and for that he gets a very high paycheck and you gotta remember the eagles are a franchise system and i think in the headquarters mind its waste of money...

too sad, last year bdawk this year westbrook...:(

  • eagles hav gotten rid of j runyan, b dawk, b west , now there thinkin of gettin rid of mcnabb is the front office serious these players r still goin to the pro bowl, b west out for L mccoy a rookie, if fans think ur goin to win with kolb...u hav never played football in ur life or ur a racist...kolb sucks and the front office i hear fans all the time at the game callin mcnabb out of his name...philly fans r assholes look at the flyers-lindros,sixers ai,barkley oh yeah they trade wilt the stilt

  • Great video - thanks for the nine years of tremendous play Brian.

  • Man I just heard. That sucks but it was coming. Will we sign LT or draft a RB in the draft?

  • Are the eagles goin after LT because McCoy needs a veteran to show him

  • @Eagles4life1357 eagles arent gonna pick up LT, why would they drop westbrook to pick up a guy who is the same age as him. Its better to free up some cap room for other positions. if anything get a back in the draft and have a nice 1-2 punch with mccoy

  • I'm surprise and not, they release him on logic calculation and the AGE factor was the equation that can't be put aside. I honestly don't think Brian Westbrook has no more gas in the tank I hope he end up with a team that has the chance to win the super bowl. From all the EAGLE fans and his competitor he will be miss in the black and green uniform

  • I'll miss you west brook, no mater where you go your an eagle forever

  • Just like Dawkins.....you will always be an Eagle Westy.

  • No matter where you go BW, you got a spot in every Eagles fans heart.

  • this guy is awsome the only bad thing is that he gets injured too much GOO EAGLES

  • The word is we gone release Westbrook

  • hahaha never knew he was a returner

man hes gotta stop getting those concussions

  • I love this guy (nohomo)

  • I think this guy is the most underrated RB of this Generation.

  • @Nick1944 if he wouldnt get injurred he would be by farthe best

  • I think Westbrook did great seeing that he was a low draft pick and no one expected anything from him

  • you can drop the qualifier, he's had an amazing career

  • Even though I'm a Cowboys fan, I have to admit that he has been the most COMPLETE back in the NFL aside from LT, since Marshall Faulk retired. Great video

  • 2:34 sick

  • this used to be the top videio youtube must have dump it then it got brought back

  • Awesome Back

  • i think the run vs tampa was greatness he ran in between like 5 guys with no room to breathe

  • Aye IRemainSick, That was my favorite but in the game the Bucs jewed us hard with the 62 yard field goal =[

  • you can't ask for a better RB!

he runs, catches, blocks for mcnabb, he's an integral part of the offense!

  • God bless B-West, hope he come back from those concussions. Everybody says he's injury prone, but people don't realize that concussion can happen to anybody on any different play. There is no such thing as injury prone, if you're destined to get hurt you are. There's no way of playing so you can avoid injuries, you just gotta hope for the best...

  • He IS injury prone. Yes, there is a way to avoid injuries, it's called size and it's the reason Westbrook was so low in the draft. I love him and couldn't fathom a better RB, but the fact of that matter is that he's small and injury prone. I think the fact that he's nearing the later years of his career and he still hasn't played a full season in the NFL speaks volumes about what happens when your under 6ft in the NFL.

  • Then how come Jones Drew hasn't missed a game yet? He's barely above 5 feet.

  • Uh, he's the same height as Westbrook, that's not "barely above 5 feet."

There's an exception to every rule, but EVERYONE knows that smaller guys take harder hits and therefore are more injury prone. It's completely logical, and again, the reason why a lot of these small players aren't high on the draft. Not many people wanted Westbrook, then he turned out to be one of the best runnning backs out there. You take a risk but it's stupid to say there is no risk involved with small guys.

  • Westbrook is 5' 10" and Jones Drew is 5'4" look it up. They don't take harder hits like big guys because there hard to hit and more shifty. It makes absolutely no sense what you are saying. People that are smaller and more agile tend to not get hit as much as the bigger guys that have more body to hit.

  • Excuse me he's actually 5'7" Jones Drew. I gaurentee there's a lot more injuries for bigger guys than the guys below 6 feet.

  • He is not 5'4, YOU should look it up.

You're logic is absolutely retarded. Being more agile than your average defender doesn't mean you get tackled any less. In fact, if you're a Running Back, you get tackled quite often. Seeing as how your job is to run at (and then preferably past) the defenders.

They take harder hits. Plain and simple. A larger guy hitting a smaller guy, the lesser mass takes the brunt of the energy transfered.

  • By the way I corrected myself he's actually 5' 7" and you still didn't answer my question. How come he's never been hurt since he's under 6 feet like you said?

  • By the way, take a look into how the Eagles got Westbrook in the first place. You will see that it was, despite his great college stats, because he was small and teams worried he would be injury prone. They were absolutely right. Go figure.

  • No, it was because he came from a smaller school in Villanova, he had 2 major knee injuries in college and high school. They also had Duece and Correll Buckhalter. Backs that are smaller and more leaner last longer in this league. It's a fact and what you don't realize that, it doesn't matter if you're small, big, or anything. If you're meant to get hurt you are. Donovan used to be called injury prone he's 6' 1", L.J. Smith get's hurt a lot he's 6' 4". I can name countless others.

  • ur an idiot westbrook is 5'10" Maurice is not 5'10" and that under 6ft shit is bullshit go down the hall of fame under running backs and look at under 6ft and see how many games theyve missed...

  • You fucking dumbass I just told you the reason he was drafted low. Because the eagles didn't need a running back. Because we had Deuce and Buckhalter. We never draft RB's high in the draft. McCoy is the highest we have ever drafted a running back under Andy Reid. You are fucking stupid kid, you don't know anything and if you really think people are injury prone because there under 6 feet you're fucking dumb as hell.

  • You're a fucking retard who can't even use the reply feature. You're also wrong and I am right. Whether or not the Eagles needed a RB doesn't have SHIT to do with how high a player is on the draft list out of college. He was low because ALL coaches and scouting individuals KNOW that smaller players are injury prone. There is no information or heresay about that, thats fact and has been accepted as fact for a long time. Just give it up dumbass

  • You are fucking dumb as hell. You actually said whether or not the eagles need a running back didn't matter in choosing Westbrook. So if we would of had like Barry Sanders we still would of picked one in the draft. You're fucking stupid.

  • Think about it logically moron. You're trying to say a smaller player gets hit less because of their agility. You forget that these Running Backs aren't running in TD's every fucking play. They get full hits probably more than anyone on the field. Pair that that with basic physics, two guys hitting the smaller will take the brunt of the hit. You try to argue that you're a fucking idiot.

  • It is not proven anywhere that smaller players take extra damage from a hit. Show me you're fucking information asshole. You're fucking stupid as hell. You can't answer none of my questions and you're coming up with this stuff from out of you're ass. My shit I am saying is proven and true.

  • Besides where are you getting all this information of players under 6 foot getting injuries?
