i think this vid. is really well done,i agree to,as sad and as short as these mens lives may have been, they lived it the way the wanted, and thats what they're remembered for. :)
thanks dude... yes, I agree, that's exactly what made all men like Billy so compelling - they just lived life the way they wanted it to, without considering any false, imaginary rules... they were just free spirits, and that's why we all love them and admire them.
I think Emilio Estevez interpretation of Billy highly contributed to getting more simpathy from the ppl in general, myself included =P, by far the best Billy the Kid ever played in a movie.
The thing about Billy the Kid is he is mysterious, the situation he was in was not black and white, the Santa Fe Ring ran things in New Mexico and for a while Billy was a deputized Marshal. I always found it interesting that after he gunned down two deputies no one tried to stop him escaping and someone lent him a horse which was returned. That makes me wonder about the context of Billy's history.
billy is still the most famous outlaw of the old west because he never robbed stores banks or trains. He robbed cattle and horses from wealthy ranchers and often just gave them away to local new mexicans who loved him for it. That and he went after the bastards who killed john tunstall.
my favorite scene in the movies is when they get stoned on peyote, and they try to kill the "giant chicken". major lolz!!! other than that. god Bless Billy "the Kid"...and may Pat Garret continue to rot in his unmarked grave.
Wow, very impressive, loved the song too. I agree with your words in description of this video, well said. Young Guns 1 & 2 are two of the best movies ever made. They couldn't have cast it better. I recommended a book called the saga of Billy the Kid by Walter Noble Burns on another post, you won't be disappointed if you get a chance to read it. Either way great video, thanks for posting it!
I think I know why Billy was sad his mother died his step father left him when he was 15 why do you think he's sad think what do you think but there's some thing I need to tell you Chek your emails on you tube
I like it when dirt face (cant remember his name) is like "they cant see us we're in the spirit world asshole" after the trip out going through the indian camp. haha
I think Emilio plays the part and I cannot help but love his chuckle in YG1 after he kills someone.. My fav part is when they're in Mexico I think towards the end in the bar and that bounty hunter is in the bar explaining how he is going to kill Billy.. When Billy/Emilio starts whistling that "sad" ballad I fell in love with that scene. I saw on IMDB that ballad didn't come out until the 60's but if you wana hear type "women of ireland" on youtube and click the cheiftians. Its cool not OF tho
@mixwell1983 Something like that did happen, the man drunkely told Billy that he was going to gun Billy down but he didn't realize who he was talking too, Billy asked to see his gun, rotated the hammer on to an empty chamber, and then he shot him.
My co worker hasn't seen pt 1 and 2.. We just finished pt 1 and she is asking questions about pt 2.. I know pt 1 at the end gives a narration on how they ended up but I had to explain to her that part 2 continues the journey and that althought TG1 sums up their individual outcome that the story was still untold by the movie cameras so she is stoked to see part 2 . I haven't seen it in a while so I am looking forward to it..
Young guns 1 and 2 are fucken bad as flicks.. I love em. LOL @ :32 "They can't see us cuz we're the spirit world asshole" Not sure if thats the exact phrase but laughed at it.
this isn't damian its his mum!i don't care what anyone says!this is perfect!he would have had a wonderful life if people had left him alone!fairplay babes!luv damians mum!ria!x
william h. booney billy the kid waht a life most be loot of fun but srry that i need to write this man it was shit music try with slipknot billy the kid fucken rules
extremely touching video!it brought tears into my eyes.Billy is so full of life and energy, and his life was really wild and on the edge.your video is wonderful!
Another thing striking, in facts of historical record, he was *extremely* respectful of women, polite, well-mannered, though deadly. But his respect of women intrigues me. And his rare drinking.
You are right, it`s so interesting how he was such a gentelmen to ladies and cold-blooded killer at the same time...This is very rare combination, it only makes him even more atractive, at least in my eyes lol;-)
Girl, this is so touching. Emilio's soul came through on it's own, as well as portraying a young Billy. He was SO YOUNG. Think about it, younger than you and me. And his life was shaped by so many facets. Like you said, I agree he did not see his life as sad, in the time period and what he was seeing and doing, esp with the Santa Fe ring gaining power. This is one reason I feel the US cannot forget him, and why people from countries across the globe are drawn to him.

haha, don't be so narrow-minded.
Billy the Kid is so many faces in one bag. And that's just one of the reasons he is so loved.
