Even though being in the shadow of sfgadv, where it has about 13 coaster, busch gardens has plenty of coasters. There are some parks that dont have any coasters at all or very small ones
Hey petersheeler: Yes, and those smaller parks aren't worth my time. Don't get me wrong, I had an excellent time at BGE. All I was saying was that in comparison to other amusement parks, the coaster count is indeed low here. But, the scenery and atmosphere dominate all other parks I have visited.
Its diappointing that you dont like small family parks. I have been to Canobie Lake park, and no ride is taller than the trees surrounding the park, and yet they have one coaster that is the tallest in the state that everybody loves to ride, and its famous too. I also went to BGA last month which is similar to BGE, and with the 7 coasters there, i take the 7 coasters at BGA over all of them at SFGadv, with the exception of El Toro

that is wierd! I guess that amusment parks in Europe have different standards than in America. If it is raining at all at Disney World, or Six Flags or any park I have been to, they shut down the rides.

In typical theme parks, Six Flags Great Adventure for example, the different sections are titled something like "Main Street", "Boardwalk", "Golden Kingdom", "Plaza del Carnival", etc. In Busch Gardens Europe, however, the different sections are titled "Scotland", "France", "Italy", "Ireland", etc., and themed accordingly to look like the country. It's very amazing to see in person.

here is my ride count for both days Ride Count: Griffon: 3x Lochness Monster: 1x Alpengeist: 2x Big Bad Wolf: 1x Apollo's Chariot: 4x Grover's Alpine Express: 0x Curse of DarKastle: 1x Skyride (each side): 1x Those were the only rides we went on except Corkstrew hill
That was one amazing video i remember in 07 maverick opening day i was out of the house at 3 am after working till midnight the night before at the park at 5 and sat in the rain for 4 hours before the park opened.
Going by your description, I assume this was your first time visiting BGE. And if you thing the park is beautiful now, you should visit in the summer when all the trees have grown in.

Hey nelsonr12: Unbelievably, I didn't care for it too much. Nitro is a much better ride, so unfortunately for me, Apollo could only disappoint. It was good, just pretty boring.
want to go back there and ride alpengeist. it was closed but apollo's charriott and griffon are awesome
