clintcollins, I don't think you can tell how low a pitch attitude was used after the initial climb. Do you know what the "CAT A from an elevated take off surface" calls for? 0 degrees down to minus 10 degrees in on second and then back to zero in another second then plus five degrees until Vtoss is not uncommon and looks agressive, but is the correct profile for CAT A
Eurocopter Model EC-155 That is the type of helicopter this is. It is an awesome aircraft based on the older Dauphin Helicopter used by the U.S.C.G. This is the latest variant. I absolutely love this aircraft.
lol it looks like the roaders aren't spinning

Que aeronave perfeita, a o efeito que da nas pás que parecem que estão paradas é muito legal.

Wow could the FPS and the RPMs link up any better? It always throws me off watching the rotors do that. Great clip.

A dolphin is a dolphin! Beautiful machine. More than 2,000 hp total. The sound engine is insane. Music to your ears. :)

blade stop... haha

Looks to be a "low time" pilot. Bad initial hover and over-rotate on the pirouette into takeoff. Someone with more money than time in type... ; )

Awesome copter...awesome pilot....he lifted off on the side of a hill!!! I love how the rotors appear not to be moving once he goes full power.

because the blades were spinning at about the the same rate as the frames per second on the camera. giving the illusion they where still.

Thanks. No music. Just the engines symphony. That's what a real aviation video is all about.

the blades looked stationary from the time the copter took off the ground,,,

Why the rotor looks so slow a full speed.
Pablito1512 2 years ago
@Pablito1512 Video framing... It's 360 RPM if I'm sure. The turbine-engines do a lot more, i guess 20,000 RPM.
vdbniels 1 year ago
@vdbniels 60.000rpm for gas generator, 45.000rpm for free turbine. Engine shaft: 6500rpm, Main rotor 360 rpm. Tail rotor: 3500rpm...
