I've always thought it would have been awesome to have a Bill & Ted video game in which you could play as Rufus. It would be somewhat similar to the Carmen Sandiego games in that it would require a fair amount of historical and geographical knowledge, i.e., if you sent Bill and/or Ted to the wrong place or time too often, the game would end.
@intanjible Yeah i really wish they did make a BIll and ted game that way i could be Bill LOL but of corse i was not born in 1991 not until 1997 DAMN IT! u ppl are luckly some grew p in the 80s i missed it all!
I loved the visual joke at the end, but there's also actually a joke reference to the show M*A*S*H. When they ask the fellow music store costumer about classical music, her first words are
"Ah, Bach!". In an episode of M*A*S*H, Radar fell in love with a nurse who was highly educated and loved classical music. Hawkeye told Radar that if she ever mentioned it, he should just say "Ah, Bach!" and leave it at that.
It may have just been a coincidence, but it was a funny reminder!
@icetyrant I don't know if the MASH Bach reference in Bill and Ted was intentional, but it was very funny to see it there! I took it to mean that the lady in the music store was just trying to be pretentious. I may be reading too much into it though! LOL!
I've gone there a few times so I had a photo of the place with no people in it; blew it up to 11x17 on a color photocopier, pasted it to a cardboard box and voilà: instant movie set! :D
There a party going on in Heaven & Rufus (George Carlin) is ROCKING the Pearly Gates with Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Janis Joplan, Lenoard Bernstien Al Hirt, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong & others! PARTY ON!!!!!
FREAK! I'm saying that Rufus (Bill Carlin's charater from B&TEA "Bill & Ted's Execelent Adventures" is AT PEACE & WITH SOME OF THE GREATEST LEGENDS OF MUSIC HAVING A UBER JAM SESSION! THIS IS NOT A "MOCKERY"!!! DWI!!!
New Boys on The Corner.......LMAO XD

Like George Carlin would care if Bill and Ted cheated on their classical music report.

Rest in Peace George Carlin.
He was perfect for his character Rufus in Bill and Ted.

I wish he could have given his non-children's programming opinion on New Kids on the Block.

It bummed me out when George Carlin died. I liked him as a Thomas the Tank Engine narrator.

I agree. I thought that Carlin was the best narrator in the whole series!

The ending was cool and a great reference to who gave Rufus his voice.
MajorLeagueLover 3 years ago 6
That voice was the legendary late George Carlin and yes that scene was funny because it was an inside joke ;-)
