im glad the cubs dont have a mascot, even if they did, it better be at least RELATED to the team's NAME. like the philly phanatic, WTF is that thing?! they couldnt do any better than that?! i dont hate the phillies or the fans, im just asking..... im im sure that the grounds crew was re-soding the whole field during the off season. wrigley field is old, and older parks need upkeep from time to time.
This project was simply to improve the drainage of water run off from the field.
What is funniest is that, over the years, literally, hundreds maybe thousands of people have scattered the ashes of their deceased loved ones in the outfield of wrigley field. They are all being trucked off to who know where...
That door is also how an ambulance would get onto the the field. Remember Hee Sop Choi against the Yanks in 03. Luckily, Station 98 is outside Left Field!
The video headline had me there for a second! Level Wrigley Field? Naw, never gonna happen. Further, the fella who commented that, "It's a good start" must be a sox fan! Cubs, Cubs, Cubs!
ever notice that even with a championship sox fans still talk about the cubs, i guess even when the sox give them something to talk about they still only have negativity on their minds. sad but true.
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but isn't the grounds keeper who redid the sod for Wrigley Field also do the field for the Cell? He's also well known for his grounds keeping experience that he's done the Red Sox, and St. Louis -- all teams that have recently won the World Series.
So is this another way for the Cubs to kill the curse of the goat? Just wondering; as I've been disappointed since '84 & '89. No hope in winning it all. But "get 'er done" already!
mister personality with all the nice insight for us in the beginning there, what a cock.

Cubs ground crew is too busy picking up trash from when they lose. They had to hire the white sox guy to design this.

The CUBS are 1 of only 4 MLB Teams that don't have a Mascot. The best ones are the Padres Chicken, and the Phillie Phanatic.
