  • But then again..how could the average consumer really know what they hell they were doing? They were victims right? Victims of the incredible lack of basic financial education in k-12 education system in the US. But we only have that because we can't possibly nix music and art education (sacred cows of the left). I guess it all comes back to a lack of freedom of choice in education..no shocker there. It's just easier to blame Wall St...they have it and you don't..it's called envy...also a sin

  • It was the over-extended consumer that took out loans for 145% of the value of their homes that caused all this (don't believe me? go to Dayton, Ohio and look up the details of the foreclosure sales). You're going to tell me that they didn't know what they were doing when they took out those loans? Bullsh*t. They were greedy to live beyond their means just like the CEO's you all hate.

  • Who's the narrator? Sounds like Kermit the Frog.

  • Yeah, he deserves the pay and the perks, just like every women out there deserves a large, 24k diamond ring from their fiancée, even if he doesn't make enough in a lifetime to pay for it.

  • Lets move our money from the big banks to credit unions and let them know why we did.

  • Does anyone realize that these bonuses CEO's and top executives get are pre determined, and the bank must pay them otherwise they could have a ton of lawsuits? His bonuses were determined before taxpayers' money was inserted into the company. And his bonus came from stock, not from the taxpayers' money itself. Their stock was doing good at the time, and he had a certain amount of shares, therefore making quite a nice sum.

  • @jmurphrocks15

Bonuses are not pre determined, stock holding is pre determined. Annual dividends are paid out based on company profits. These guys obfuscated the dire situation of their institutions and artificially kept the stock up. After sucking out their bonuses, they let the real crisis emerge which is when their stock prices tumbled. Federal bailouts are not regular economic instruments, and the taxpayer expects that realization to reflect in the actions of these fraudulent executives.

  • Firing Ken Lewis is not enough. He should be placed on a spit, basted, and then roasted until tender. Next, his meat should be used to feed the homeless.

  • Well bank of america was gonna back out on the merge with merrill lynch but it was the US government who said bank of america not completing the merge will not recieve government help. Bank of America is not all to blame, i believe citigroup messed up the most since they invented teh SIV.

  • Booooooooooooo!

    kenlewisboa . com

  • This video is full of misleading statements and falsehoods. As if the bank are the only ones to blame. How about congress forcing the banks to loan money to those who really couldn't afford it? BTW, the democrate had the majority of congress with TARP. What about everyone's greed to keep up with the Jones'? We the people are to blame for allowing our government to run like a rock star with an American Express Black credit card.

  • I hate when people get mad over banks giving out bonuses. Yes, they gave out billions in bonuses...TO EVERYONE, not just Lewis. And A LOT of people that work at banks need bonuses, it's most of their salary. I do agree that excessive corporate spending when the company is practically running on taxpayer money is wrong.

  • I love Bank of America, made $54,000 out of the bail out

  • b.o.a a rip off bank.

  • Here's the deal folks: the banks are squeezing everybody and when their squeeze pushes some over the edge they have to squeeze those who remain all the harder. Look into Advanta Bank and what's happened to it, because that's the template for what's happening to the other major banks.

Ann Minch is fighting back, and so should you ... but if the banks have already pushed you under then you need to know how to fight against what comes next--and that's where my book comes in. Check my channel.

  • Lewis is a thief. His greed & lust for piles of cash is incomprehensible.

  • The SEIU complaining of corruption? That's f@cking hysterical!!!!!!

  • Ken Lewis belongs in jail. Bank of America is the worst bank in the world.

  • People listen to the media way too much! What you hear on the news is not what actually happened. Then again, there are always more sheep than there are wolves.

  • SEIU, the front group run by the rich Harvard Jew Andy Stern, attacks the only non-Jewish CEO of a major bank, Ken Lewis of Bank of America.

You'll never see Andy Stern attacking his fellow Jews like Jamie Dimon of JP Morgan Chase or Llyod Blankenfeld of Goldman Sachs.

Ken Lewis: Guilty of Banking While Being Gentile.

  • HE QUIT!

  • this video is hilarious. why not put hitler and devil horns in this add. lol

  • i wouldn't have any issues with any banks if they didn't give these ceo's like crazy huge bonuses on top of their already ridiculously high salaries...they need to start realizing that you don't need a billion dollars to live. to be more lenient, a few million dollars a year should be sufficient (more than sufficient). really. if these people actually stopped being so damn greedy, maybe the economy wouldn't be so bad...hm? i mean what good is having all the money if the economy sucks?

  • Ken want to save money than spend on employee .

  • Ken Lewis...is morally bankrupt. Get rid of the guy!

  • I just don'tget how you can blame Ken Lewis for what our gov't Did. You can't blame him, How all the people that is debt that help cause this mess?

  • A little Marxist class envy from those too stupid to become a CEO? If you all had not been so lazy, you could have become CEO.s and there would not be so high a demand, therefore so high a bonus and pay...

So I see it a pure jelousy.

  • not every one wants to be a ceo - not everyone is a stupid prick like you and ken lewis

  • Why not everyone could be a CEO! To bad most of are stupid in comparison to you. But then with everyone being a CEO who would do the menial task of working for a company and providing the service that make a company successful. Because we all know CEO could do it all without their employees.

  • Scummy fart smeller. Thief. Liar. Incompetent bum. Get the "H" out of our country, thief.

  • I'm all for forgiveness AFTER these bankster fucks PAY THE PIPER!!!

  • Get rid of his ass. I have no sympathy for this elitist scum.

  • Instead of debating who should go, please determine what will come in, in its stead. Yes, fire Ken Lewis, whatever. I don't care. But what are you going to do when he's gone? Get another CEO whom you will deride for his work, for his paycheck?

Once you can offer a reasonable alternative that has an obvious return, then you can make this case. Otherwise, firing him leaves what? A leader-less company? Let the workers run the bank, as a democracy? And why does he have a "public responsibility"?

  • If he's gone maybe there will be enough disorganization in their coverup scheme for it to unravel. Like the stupid nextel spot repeats over and over and over... No rain, no rainbow. We'll just be mired in a generational depression or worse. No recovery in your lifetime. And while we're at it Bennie B. can pound some sand up his Shalom. I can clearly understand how the only sinners to get a rise out of Jesus were the money lenders.

  • They Just don't get it... Good Post

  • You fools,

Bank Of America dint need a bail-out. Merrill Lynch did.

JP Morgan didn't need a bail-out. Bear Stearns Did.

Wells Fargo didn't need a bail-out. Wachovia did.

  • pepsimannampepsi

Please Ken Lewis, stop writing these absurd comments for your support. Please "buck up" and use your real name. No one is so stupid to make a comment like this but you, Ken Lewis.

  • You should stop snorting the pepsi. They are all insolvent. They lost all their money at the table and now they want to lose yours while lining their Armani pockets again.

  • The shareholders want him gone. Too bad they have no say. He'll stay as long as he keeps the coverup going. If he blows that the oligarchy will just get some other doofus. As long as he's approved by the boss Ben.

  • russohead

Ken Lewis is a TOXIC liability to any bank. Take a look at what Forbes said about him earlier this year.

Ken Lewis is a looser to himself, and he knows he is a looser to his family.

  • He not only has loose bowels - he's a big effin loser.

  • toober101

Ken Lewis is not only a looser but criminal which I believe will come out soon.

  • I say HANG HIM HIGH!!!!!!!!

  • Hahaha -- hey that's actually a good idea! JK

  • Its simple. Fire the CEOs (and other types of parasites in companies) and there will be no unemployments. One single "Top"-Manager receives as much as 300 employees. Without him, the business won't suffer. But without the workers there woudn't be any problem at all. By the way, why not outsourcing the managers? Companies could employ much cheaper CEOs from India or China.

  • THIS IS HILARIOUS.

Can't you see? he's just enjoying the money for as long as he can while he can...

    mmmmm money money money.

  • This is a great day for all of us unfortunate people who have been SCREWED OVER by Bank of America. Thanks for DOUBLING my interest rate and cutting my credit by 5k you jerks. You'll never see another dime of my money. ROT IN HELL EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE OF BOA! If you work for them, you're part of the problem. Enjoy the unemployment line! Hope you don't get sick!

  • Don't hate on bank of america your probably unemployed yourself get a job loser! lol

  • cali25veronica

Please have another bottle of M.D. 20/20 and have a nice dream in your "lala land". Reality will never be on your horizon.

  • Ken Lewis - fired. Perhaps all other current execs at BOA and all other bank or investment companies should also be fired. The fact remains that virtually all current greedy execs either knew about or were directly involved with the economic decimation caused by foolishly investing in high-risk derivatives. After all, if I took cash from my company & used it to play high-limit blackjack in Vegas I'd be fired & prosecuted for theft. This is exactly what these execs have done with OUR money.

  • How Ironic, a Corrupt Union going after a Corrupt CEO. What about the SEIU spending millions to prevent Consumer Advocate Ralph Nader getting on the Ballot during one of his Presidential Campaigns.

  • The problem is not the CEOs. It is the system. Systematic exploitation of workers. We should change the system to be fair for everyone. CEOs only obey their own bosses which are money hungry investors. It is true however that they are well overpaid.

  • I love the video. Its the best one I've seen. Its the peoples time now, down with these greedy CEOs

  • I like how everyone is up in arms about CEO's getting huge bonuses and wasting taxpayer money, but for some reason no one is up in arms about Congress and the current administration passing the bill to give them the money.

    Hilarious

  • Getting rid of Ken Lewis will help rebuild confidence in the banking system. Right now no one on the Street trusts him and several other executives.

  • Hey Kenney-Got something for ya! It is something I think you have earned! Like Guantanamo type treatment, maybe WE can hang you from a bridge, naked and throat slashed!!! I know-too good for trash greedo like you but too fing bad! You got it coming and WE will see to it you get all you have worked SOOOOO hard to STEAL. See ya in the burn pit B****!

  • Well Well, The Cranston Act, guarantees Israel $10 Billion dollars per year, then incrementally reduced that to 3 billion, but somehow Israel receives $74 Billion per year. Keep your eyes on the ball, like your government is too lazy and corrupt to do, or the Bilderbergs will have you mad at everybody else, but them. Robert Reich is the smallest, biggest sell-out in the labor and financial world, as was Bill Clinton.

  • The media and Congress are willing partners in these frauds and deceptions.

The banks just took billions in bailouts.

This stated purpose of this money was to free up credit by purchasing bad assets.

Instead, the banks have used the money to buy up other banks since, obviously, it is in their interest to be too big to fail.

These monsters have become TOO BIG period.

Congress will never pass real regulation unless the voters FORCE them to.

    The lobbyists OWN them.

    Now using TAXPAYER money!

  • Now we find out they have used "Mark to Market" accounting to adjust their debt to 10% of what it should be. Immoral.

  • its time for a revolution

  • Yes. It's time for us villagers to get out the torches and the pitchforks!

  • RIGHT ON!!!

  • parasitism

  • great video

  • Robert Reich is a crook as well, the fact that he is narrating this vid is both ironic and absurd. The banks do nothing but exploit average consumers, witness the front loading of checking accounts in order to collect billions in overdraft fees...the banks are consumer enemies.

  • What are the American Employees at the Bank of America doing about it.........Nothing!!

    What`s new about that?.......Nothing!!

One could stand there and piss on these Employees, and they would still do nothing.

And what good would it do to fire Ken Lewis,,none! he would still enjoy a very luxurious life..indeed!

Don`t worry tho, their are plenty H1b,and H2b`s willing to fill the empty spots.

  • fire his ass

  • PULL YOUR RETIREMENT ACCOUNT OUT OF MERRILL LYNCH.

My SEP/IRA retirement account is at Merrill Lynch. I am going to start shopping for a new more reputable company to manage my retirement account. Everyone who has a Merrill Lynch account should do the same. They have been ripping me off for years.

  • Makes me wanna puke. And what really erks me is that there are still a shit-load of workin' dipshits that think it's cool for millionairs to exist---let alone billionaires. Stupid fuckers. They'll die ignorant fuck-munches suckin' on Ru$h's cock for eternity---and in the process bring people who aren't dumb animals down with'em. Again---STUPID FUCKS!

  • LOL. I agree totally. It's amazing to me that working class people still fight against their own interests, for free, on behalf of the rich who would steal their life savings and screw them and their families in a second. Witness the recent tea parties - attended by working class folk who are getting their taxes LOWERED, all so b/millionaires could pay 3% less. Amazing! The best slave is a willing slave.

  • Banks were so "creative" at getting people IN these loans... why can't they get "creative" to keep people in their homes?

  • man these people are back at it again ... wall street wages and bonuses are skyrocketing!

  • can imagine how they're partying ))

    nah, maybe I can't even imagine ....

  • The problem is that the people who run the business will try to find every little loophole in the law that they can to rip off the average American. All they want is more money for themselves, not fair wages for their employees or happy tax payers. As long as they get their money, they're not going to care how they got it.

  • What a jerk.

  • I agree wrong is wrong no matter which side it comes from. I can't remember why I joined their mailing list but this is silly.

  • I'm sure you were a huge donor.

  • The employee "free" choice act is a scheme and the way video is edited is shady. I hope people actually read what it is about and don't just listen to what they are told.

  • The employee FREE choice act is great for the working american, and should be passed immediately.

Thanks but no thanks to more corporate control of labor.

  • Do you know how much it costs to fuel a plane like this? That would answer your question. He should fly commercial like the rest of us poor slobs who can barely afford the ticket. Then we wouldn't have dug into our pockets to bail them out. You paid for the fuel in his plane ya know. Duh. I do agree we should fire the slobs that gave them the money so they could waste it.

  • Yes an EXTREMELY small percentage of the money we gave Bank of America. This is a very weak point that is not newsworthy.

  • Is this the same SEIU who along with that nut rag group ACORN got this idiot in office, is this the Change to Win, nuts who are connected to SEIU.

HARRIS suggested that SEIU Official make ROD BLAGOJEVICH the head of Change to Win and, in exchange, the President-elect could help Change to Win with its legislative agenda on a national level. Not to mention getting his wife a job. Give me a break you bunch of demonic goats.

  • Just wondering who do you work for and why would you care if this fat cat loses his job? Not like he is going to stand on an unemployment line and collect a check. Oh wait he did get his, $35 million, that should hold him over for a while.

  • Anyone holding your viewpoint, I had to read your profile. Nut rag group ACORN? Nuts associated with SEIU? Me thinks the demonic goat must be you. Hello bitter!

  • Mr. Obama,

Who will explain to me why Mr. Lewis is still on the job?

The answer should be clear and transparent.

    JN

Catholic school teacher for 30 years

  • kill him and drag him with a noose around the streets of wallstreet

  • Vile plutocrats like Ken Lewis shouldn't get one penny from US taxpayers!!!

  • BA11111SACK

  • Why stop at this jackass? I say FIRE ALL of them! Every corporation that puts out it's hand for a bialout should do so with the understanding that their CEO, CFO, President, whatever should have to give up their job. AND No more bonuses while they are laying people off!! This is SHAMEFUL but it's happening in ALL these big corporations. Do a video like this about UTC, please!

  • someone says in the video : ''..it shows they are not spending taxpayer's money properly..'' no shit Sherlock !? give the man a lollypop for he's a genius......news flash Einstein : NO ONE spends taxpayers money properly, EVER !! never did , never will so....get yourselves deeper in debt , shut up & pay up, that's all citizens are expected to do.....

  • Don't you understand. We need to give companies like bank of America ...billions more in subsidies so that they can trickle down jobs to American citizens. At least that's what I heard on right wing looney radio.

  • Dont just fire him - kill him - cut his head off and stick it on a post -as a warning for up and comers of future greed and devastation

  • I have to agree! If the people started taking this approach maybe we would see a real difference taking place.

  • Infuriating.

  • The behavior of bank execs like Ken Lewis reminds me of how the Politburo in the Kremlin rewarded themselves for 70 years of Communist rule in the Soviet Union. There was no public oversight in the Soviet Union. Industries which failed were nevertheless bailed out by the Kremlin government if they were loyal to the Party. This is NOT capitalism! This is chicanery. This is "business-as-usual" at the Bank of America under Ken Lewis. A. P. Gianinni would spit on this CEO!

  • I am laying off from Bank of America. That is sad.

  • Ken Lewis' cheeks & nose are full of bluish colored blown blood vessels. This is a unique symptom of chronic drunkeness from high-dollar scotch mixed with arrogance and daily $3,000 rounds of golf. Lewis is also insane - recently he was found mumbling & muttering while eating like cereal a bowl full of bugs & dead grass with milk.

  • pig5689 First of all I agree Lewis has to go!! But I do take issue with you on problem blood vessels on the face. I am bothered with them and do not drink!!!!

  • I could use a bailout, Laura likes the finer things in life. My pay went down now. I cannot rip off the people anymore. So maybe I will apply for some bailout money.

  • Greed is only good to evil people.

  • Ken Lewis looks like a typical grumpy, arrogant , wealthy nutjob who thinks he's above everyone else. He needs to be shown the path of reality instead of living in Fantasyland. Fire him, liquidate his assets, throw him in the gutter with nothing so he can see what it feels like when a family is destroyed by greedy banking & Wall Street whoresluts. BOA announced 1st quarter profits over $1 bilion dollars. BULLSHIT! Something is way wrong with this. They cooked the books & are waiting for suckers.

  • Just a few months ago BOA needed billions in bailout funds & now announces record 1st quarter profits of over $1 billion? Bullshit. This tomfoolery stinks. Even bonus-whore greedy Wall Street execs. smell a big fat rat. The Dow tanked as soon as it opened on 4/20/09. Sadly, there's still many lazy, greedy slutters out there looking for a quick buck & borrowing every cent they can to buy stock. Too bad, suckers. By June 1 the Dow will go to shit so fast it will make Sept. 2008 look like VJ Day.

  • it is time to fire Ken Lewis.

  • It's GREEDY ass PEOPLE!

Who has not sinned cast the first stone!

  • when will you idiots realize that this isnt the banks fault, but rather the fault of the federal reserve and the government... if anything, we should fire the ceo of the US federal reserve ie ben bernanke, but i dont hear any of you idoits calling for his resignation

  • Umm.. because it would be better to have cascading bank failures?

Are you willing to give up all the money you have in the bank to close down the federal reserve?

  • so you think the ceo of this bank is at fault for risking the savings of millions of americans? and you think firing him will magically just solve the situation with the financial sector? who will take over after him? the government? sure that seems to work well nowadays right? just ask gm after the govt made them fire their ceo

  • Actually, I misread your comment as suggesting we should do away with the Federal Reserve rather than a person in charge. Sorry about that!

The country would not do so well without a federal reserve because banks would race to out-compete one another in making risky loans until it blew up on them all (because they could only stay in business BY competing against the others in this doom race).

In this case, I think they did even though the Federal Reserve existed.

  • Agreed. People only believe what's told to them in their 5 sec news snippets or the over the top acting by their cable reporters.

  • Fire the head of SEIU

  • ....for what reason?

  • If you're not opposed to unions organizing then you can stop misrepresenting the law that would make the rules for forming a union the same as the rules for disbanding one. I'm union right now, but it took us a year to get our secret ballot election, and during that time it was OUR EMPLOYER who pulled people aside and tried to intimidate workers into dropping their support.

  • I can see how someone with no clue about the economy and the last Republican Great Depression might believe this. The fact is though that a big part of the reason we had such a large swelling of the middle class in the post-war boom was because of the Wagner Act, passed in the 30's, which protected a worker's right to organize.

  • I am not opposed to unions organizing. I have lived through the process. Card check will allow the union thugs to intimidate employees into sign a card for a union that they don't want.
