@badshans Ah right, I guess he "realised" that America is, in your words, "a police state", when he was commissioned to compose the song in the early 80's by Orion Pictures to serve as the soundtrack to The Falcon and the Snowman, a true story about two American who spied for the Soviets. Even the lyrics, virtually spoon fed to him by the script of the film, don't bear out any sort of political statement in your terms. 23 likes for utter nonsense. Brain matter is in scarce supply.
