I think it is the first PSK I have seen on here with shelter. Good Kit. If you had added a trash bag in there to get you off the ground it would be just about all you would need. The altoid tin is to small and unrealistic. Yours is more realistic in terms of how much you can fit into it. Plus vacuum sealing the blanket is a good idea. Maybe the trash bag would do the same. Did you make a video using this kit? If not would like to see that.
Micro-Gear for your shirt pocket... Dude, that is excellent ... What about "Moral"? Got a photo of a "loved one", your mom, wife, kids? ... THE REASON TO SURVIVE, When you are all alone.
Nice kit. I finally got around to making a video of mine. I prefer tp go a bit more on the heavy side for 72 hours, but that's just me. Good video buddy.
@Aporrata1 Thanks man, I really appreciate that. Those little cases are pretty cool, eh? :-) I found them at a dollar store awhile back and picked up a few of them... they come in handy. Take care man!
i carry mine in a draw string bag i made it keeps it more comfortable in the poxket and you can cramm as much as you want in there and it will still fit good and it is easyer to get in and out of without spilling stuff everywhere ~just a thought~ have a good one bro.
@ohioriverfisherman94 That's an excellent idea Brother! I never thought about doing it like that... would sure make it alot easier than trying to cram all of the things you need into a hard-cased container. Thanks for the tip!
Great video about something that is always way overlooked. I do a ton of hiking just around the house in the back woods and even in those circumstances you can need a survival kit just as much as you would 100 miles from home. I should get my stuff together better and start packing it in my camera bag.
yeah ...one week is probably a little over-ambitious. I guess most survival kits are meant for getting you through that first 48-72 hours. So that is a thing to shoot for as an experiment ...I'll get back on that :)
Unbelievable amount of good stuff in a little package...much more than you could just hang off of a key chain. The vacuum packing of the mylar blanket is such a great idea. Also having various kinds of string and line gives you so many options. Thanks for the ideas.
@brgzz That'd be awesome! You have to let me know if you decide to do it or not. My oldest son's been wanting me to take him on a one night trip using just the pocket kits... I think now that the weather's warming up a little bit, we might just do that. Can't imagine one week though man! You definitely have to video document that one my friend! Thanks & take care.....
Wow! Lots of stuff in such a small kit. I need to rethink mine and trim it down but.. I saw some things in your kit that I want to add to mine :-) Thanks for the video...
I think the idea of a shelter in your emergency kit is a great idea. Rain/wet can be a killer. Plastic like that can save you from a very uncomfortable, life threatening experience. I'm going to add something like it in mine. Great thoughts on all the gear. Thanks again.

Nice rig. I've been thinking about trying to use a pocket survival kit for real in a 1-week survival test. I'll get back to you on that :)
