Modification of the hosts file is a SERIOUS breech. A major major major fail of the behavior blocker!! How could you gloss over that one?? Also would have been nice to see what the mod was as it might just have been a NPE foobar. Ya think?
@TheBuckbull perfect protection = defense wall hips along with mse 2 .You can also use norton safe web lite and Norton dns(freeware). This is my security configuration so far. btw gr8 review keep it up.
It was very good to see MSE did a very good job in your test! MSE just did not detect a rogue but detected all the malwares was exposed of. MSE has to reduce RAM memory usage up to 20 MB as you sad. I hope Microsoft do that for next versions of MSE. It was a great review! It is very good to see you back with your excellent videos reviews! Thanks a lot!
@victorh2007 Thanks a lot for your comment and watching! yes if mse could reduce its ram usage it would be a very good antivirus especially for free. it could improve detection against rogues a bit better as you said. no problem any time!
Good test! I have a 2GB, Windows 7 Home Premium laptop, and while MSE 2.0 may not be "light" (it's far from heavy) it is lightning quick on my machine. I can't even tell it's installed. Web browsing, and everyday tasks are snappy........I do notice a little long boot and shut down time, but oh well! Thanks again!
I guess Microcrap expects everyone these days to be upgrading there RAM so spending time making it lighter is not a main concern. Anyways good to see another video it certainly looks like they've made cleaning alot faster.
@linuxpowerification 1GB? Exactly why before I got my new PC with 4GB ram and Quad Core I had only 1GB and any virtual machine was slow, Because 1GB simply ain't enough.

Windows 7 firewall is great, but I would definitely recommend running this alongside Comodo firewall with Defense + (dont install the antivirus part)
