  • Square footage (area) is correct, (as opposed to cubic footage). The more boiler surface exposed to heat, the more power available, and the faster and more efficiently it will heat up. You can tell by checking how high your chimney temp is above your water temp. A big difference would mean something is off.

  • Looks like you hooked up a home made steam engine to the pedals. It's rather ingenious when you think about it.

  • What is your steam output like? You can factor your boiler output by the square footage of exposed metal to heating surface.

Looks like you could get a few smaller tubes in between the ones you have in your boiler ,and get about 50% more output.

Are you going to put up footage of it moving?

    Looks good.

  • @accordeon I will put some smaller tubes there. Don´t remember the steam output but it works fine. I will probebly put up a footage of it moving but right now some things are not in to good condition, and i don´t have the time to repair it. The steam car is wating for better times...

    Thanks!

  • @accordeon 'square footage'? Do you mean area?

  • Great Video, Great job - well done!

  • Wow! Now we have to see it operating.

  • Looks like a kick-ass steampunk dragster!
