Fascism, nationalism, collectivism and statism come in many names but they are all the same things in the end. Huckabee is a big government freak plain and simple. Huckabee is a dangerous fool. He said whether we should have invaded Iraq is a debate for the historians. Why the historians? The war in Iraq is one of the most critical issues today, and Huckabee refuses to state his opinion whether or not it was a good idea. Huckabee is a man without honor because he lacks the conviction to a position on the war in Iraq. He just throws it off to the historians. How dishonorable.

I'm going to point something out here: The major media have conditioned majority of the public into believing lies as news. It's all been well established for a long time that they've been neglecting the truth and have been getting paid a TON of money to do it. They are not free thinkers. They are getting paid big sums to do certain stories. Just like doctor's get paid big incentives for pushing prescription meds. Prescriptions that treat only symptoms, and not the problem.

This means that you can never disagree with the President, because there is always someone in office. This isn't a dictatorship. Dissent is a crucial part of the American identity. Having taken a healthy dose of political science through college, I have known what a "neo-con" is for some time. Fascism, nationalism, collectivism and statism come in many names but they are all the same things in the end. Huckabee is a big government freak plain and simple. He simply sees the totalitarianism of the state as a mechanism capable of delivering his brand of authoritarianism.

It is simply an understanding of collectivism vs individualism. It is the difference between a system of servitude to authority vs a system of individual freedom. If you understand these principles well, you become very adept at who speaks the language of freedom and who truly speaks for servitude. Those that seek power largely want a system of servitude. They just simply use terms like freedom to disguise their intent. Huckabee clearly wants collectivism.

They cannot fix their own government, because they cannot defend themselves. If we leave right now there will be a mad dash by the Shitte, Sunni, and Kurds along with out siders such as Iran, Syria and Hezbollah among others to go in and topple the Iraqi Government.
If the Iraqi military were in a position to stand up and fight for themselves, I would say Yeah, let's go ahead and leave.
But they are not in that position yet. We owe it to those people to at least give them that chance.

The Iraqi Prime Minister said we can leave whenever we want... pretty much saying they have a handle on things. But we haven't left, nor is there any plan to leave. Who better to govern the people of Iraq than the people of Iraq? Iraq is a sovereign nation and as such SHOULD be able to make its own decisions regarding their internal political structure and policies.

It seems you are confused. Iraq IS governing themselves. If we were governing them, I can promise you that incompetent Prime Minister would no longer be in his position. While political progress needs to occur, the Iraqi military has many strives that still need to be made before they can defend themselves.
Overall, we are not at a realistic point where we can pull out of Iraq without major consequences for both US and Them.

Ron Paul tried to get Congress to declare war, and they deferred to the President, which they are not allowed to do under the Constitution. Ron Paul is right - a handful of people took us into this war. And we the American people shouldn't have to suffer for it. I say this as a 16 year Air Force veteran.

Huckabee is completely wrong. It's not a 'buffet', but we do pick and choose who we help, invade, etc... and that's what Ron Paul wants to stop. Huckabee's doublethinking on this one. He's such a nice guy, but so misled on this issue. Like Ron Paul said, he needs to 'Wake up!'. And BLIND LOYALTY to a failing Foreign Policy is NOT the way to go. Even the Top-Tier Democrats are all about the blind loyalty to our Foreign Policy, especially concerning Iran. Think about it...
