    it does not implies anything,n we even don't know where a and b lies .

  • Yes we do know where a and b lies. He said the point (a,b) lies in the shaded reason. So the answer is B (III only).

    "a<=4" is wrong because he already said a lies in the shaded region, so it can go as high as 6.

    "b<=a" is wrong you can tell just visually.

    "b<=f(a)" is right. The function is arbitrary. You can define f(x)=x^2, if you like.
