The identity of the remote computer cannot be verified. do you want to connect anyway.
The rmote pc could not be authenticated due to problem with its security certificate, it may be unsafe to proceed.
certificate errors the following errors were encounted while validation the remote pc certificate the, the certificate is not from a trusted certifying authentication. Isnt this up your alley?? because its way out of my league.
@msfrancois13 , You can connect to any PC that has a local area network with an internet connection. The internet hops links two separate subnets together. You do not have to use the same router, however you need to configure the router that is on the target computer's network to allow that local IP address of say 192.168.1.6 to be linked to an external like 64.148.221.54
in my house, we have 2 computers. Both computers have the same ip address so when i want to log in from an outside computer into computer# 2 with RDC it logs me in computer#1. What do i do to log in to computer# 2 ?
@Realizers, If you have a local area network at home, you should NEVER have the same IP address for more than one device on the same subnet mask. When you have more than one device with the same IP address on the same subnet mask, you will encounter issues like this. Its like having two people on your street with the same address, packages will be delivered to both places or just one place...you need to change the one computer's IP address to something else.
@Realizers, if you are running a small business or corp, and have puchased multiple outside IP addresses, you will link them in the Gateway of your local area network. That Gateway tends to control DHCP and routing, also it will control what local IP addresses are linked to external IP addresses. This varies on the system and complexity of your network though. If it was me, I would begin looking at your Gateway for some answers.
If you own both of these networks, you will need to setup a DMZ host on the machine that has the RDC activated. If you don't own these networks, or own only 1, you can use a free viewer that will take care of this for you (Teamviewer). Typically RDC is better when used with two of your own networks or on the same network. If you need to connect to a PC but the computer is on another subnet, you need to use the External Public IP rather than a local IP address.
You will need to save your username and password in the RDC application on the client...this way when you make the connection you will bypass the target's login screen.
Here are the restrictions of using the RDC application as far as I know, if anyone knows of another way, please confirm.
1. Requested user to be logged in must be admin user.
2. Only 1 admin user account logged in at once, multiple accounts on same processor is not regulated through RDC and therefor won't work as a multiple user hub at the same time.
@guruboy87 , virtual PC is different. I know there are programs out there that allow you to do it, but I am not familiar with them. With RDC on WINDOWS XP there is no way to be logged into more than 1 account at the same time
@garrettwademan hey i tried to cennect to a pc outside of my network using the outside ip adress from ipmonkey but it won't let me connect, remote desktop is enabledon both machines. also i don't have this problem when connecting to pcs inside my network
ok then prb msgbox showing ...The client could not connect .You are already connected to the console of this computer.A new Console session can not be established. ,,,,,,what is solution of tht problem...how can i remptely login in my home pc from guru admin account to user1 admin account(same in my home pc)......when i check my guru admin local ip with help of ipconfig command thn its IP address is matched with my new... user1 admin account ....which alre created..is it possible....?
You can only have 1 single connection at a time. With RDC there is no way to have more than 1 active connection. It sounds like you have admin already logged in and are trying to log into it again using a different account. There is no way to have more than 1 at once.
It is not possible. You can only have 1 user account active on windows as of now. I think there is special software out there but I am unaware of where or how.
in my home pc ... i wan remo login frm admin account to anot user1 admin acc....i m doing 1)check local ip addr 2)and then after create my new user1(admin)account .3) properties of my computer>> allow user conne remote option ok..4)firewall >>general tab then click on option and also goto exceptions Tab and allow to check remote desktop ..then ok 5) open remote desk conn and put 6) computer ---192.xxx.xxx.xxx 7) username --- user1 8) passw ---- user 9) domain ----192.xxx.xxx.xxx and ok
Are you trying to access your home pc from another computer in your own home, or are you trying to connect up to it from your friends house, at work, school etc? If you are at any other location other than your home, you will need to use your external IP address, not internal of 192.168.x.x. Go to IP monkey(dot)com and find your external IP address. You are certainly setting this up all correctly.
hai i wan to knw tht can i set up remote dektop connect on my computer ...when i check ipconfig command from user1 and admin account thn local ip address is same.........i wan to login remote dektop connect from my admin account to another user account ..reply me pls..
Your computer needs to have an IP address, you need to setup an admin account on your target machine because regular user accounts will not work. You can only log into a user account if it has admin rights, you will need to check the control panel >> users and make sure they have admin rights. I hope this helps.
Can someone help??????? Under the remote assistance there is no setting for desktop conection please help!!!!!
