I lived on the 12th floor in a co-op building in 1978. I seen the commercial and then heard the song. From that Point on me going on the 12th floor for the rest of 1978-79. I thought Michael Myers was coming to kill me. Especially with the voice over saying "The Night he came home".

I didn't particulary like the 1st remake, it was ok and a little fun to see Michaels back story but that is 1 thing that made Michael really scary in the original, is that we knew nothing about him. And the second remake was horrible, just awful. Michael wearing hoodies with a long beard like a hobo taking his mask off and talking, what the fuck Rob Zombie, what the fuck.

LOL I used to have this mask when I was a teenager and I scared the shit outta my dad with it. I hid in our treehouse at night and made some noise so he'd come out.. He shined the flashlight around and then up into the treehouse and I slowly peered out from the door with a big machete I had.He just stared at me from the ground for like 10 seconds then started yellin' "Hey you up there, what are you doing??" hahaha.. When he found out it was me, he almost killed me.. said he was scared to death.

Rob zomie destroeyd halloween. because micheal meyers was the ultra psychpath. He made a good remake for a new generation. But for me, micheal is a guy who never talk. Just kill. The psychopath that maybe is your neighbour. You can't feel him. It's the unkown threat. It's basically the stylish/flashy (a la the guitar riffs) film in the series, which is fine by me in its case.

Best Horror movie with the best theme to any movie out there.

After Halloween 2 it went downhill. I dont get it how anybody can possibly say that rob zombies remakes are good or even better than the original. I personally don't like any movie after 2 just because they were made for the money. 2 was a necessary movie, because 1 ended on a cliffhanger and you cleary can see Michael burning to death and Loomis was probably blown into pieces.
