  • Wow! This is incredible! Just made some tonight for dinner. I changed the tweaked the recipe a bit though and sprinkled Mrs. Dash Original seasoning before popping it in the oven. Added a little salt and pepper after it was done and skipped the lemon. I would have never thought to roast broccoli though so I thank you for making the video!

  • @AngelaA81410

I have been roasting and loving Brussels Sprouts lately. Glad you like the roasted broc. One of my favs.

  • You have a beautiful kitchen.

  • I roast broccoli with nothing at all and I have orgasms when i eat it. Mine are a little burnt and the bush at the top is so crunchy and amazing..

  • How long did you roast the Broccoli for?

  • i tried this the other night, it was so delicious. it taste as of it just came off the grill, so now when my honey is bbq-ing, i add some broccoli to our dinner, too easy not to.

  • I bet that taste great! You have a great kitchen!

  • @soonfully

I just watched the video again, I can hear my bad ole self just fine, although you are not the first one to tell me they are having problems with the voice. I really have no clue what the problem is. I stopped using music because of this.

    Sorry.

  • roasted broccoli and chopped garlic tossed with olive oil then roasted such a good snack

  • You have a beautiful kitchen!

  • FYI to all people trying to eat healthy.I just learned(NOT SUPRISED)that the FDA-aka-Food and Death Administration is determined to kill us all with disease.Food growers are spraying MSG on everything even ORGANIC.Its on ALL fruits and vegies. They also allow makers to use words that mean nothing but look like safe ingredients.Grow your own if you can because the useless government and the FDA is out to kill us thru the food chain.Organic is no longer any safer.Research Monsanto.

  • @koolbossjock veryyy true

  • @koolbossjock Holy- Really! :l I am scared.. now i mean... it seems eating is not safe anymore. Or anything for that matter.. >_>' Thank You! You Made me stay alert.. and kind of scared..

  • i love raw broccoli.... not sure how much nutrients are lost in roasting it.

  • I doubt there is much lost but I do add organic olive oil so it just might have more. I made this tonight, it was fantastic. The stems are the best.

  • @nsakic not alot better than steaming it where all the nutrients are lost and go into the water the water has more nutrients than the broccoli

  • YUM. I love roasted broccoli!

  • thanks for the idea !

  • This is how Americans should be eating. Unfortunately, they are eating at McDonalds too often, eating junk food, not vegetables and not exercising. No wonder heart attacks and cancer are #1 and #2 causes of early death.

  • I hated broccoli when I was a kid. But when I tasted it roasted or steamed it ended up being my favorite vegetable.

  • this just proves that a senior citizen can get a camera, convert it to digital video, and upload it on the internet to make show... nice!

  • That is a easy looking recipe I will have to try that soon. Thank you!

  • Did you drizzle olive oil on the baking sheet before it went into the oven? The parchment paper looked wet BEFORE you put the broccoli on it. Thanks :)

  • Yes, I think I did. I need to make this again. I haven't cooked this in such a long time.

    marjie

  • looks like something I would love! You should be on the food network...excellent video! Beautiful organized kitchen and cabinets as well!!!!

  • Thanks so much. I really enjoy my kitchen. It took forever to remodel it but the result was worth it.

    marjie

  • too much salt?

  • I know it looks like to much salt but it really isn't. I use kosher sea salt. It isn't very salty tasting. It actually has a sorta sweet taste and it does take a bit more than the bitter tasting table salt most people use.

  • This is fun! I like to see inside complete stranger's kitchen drawers! :) :)

  • Me too. :-)

  • Ok just made this for my lunch.....really good...I did add fresh grated ginger, and a little lime . really good...and had a side order of beets aswell with the same....yum yum....

  • Your recipe sounds great and I love beets too.

I will try the broccoli the way you made it.

    marjie

  • God...you are funny....love your videos....keepem coming.....!!!!! your a natural...the broccoli...looks yummy!! I will for sure give that a try...

  • I couldn't hear a thing.. The music is too high.

  • The music isn't high on my Mac, but I know what you mean. I have found music high on some videos too. Now when I talk on camera I don't use music.

    Sorry,

    marjie

  • oh I forgot to tell u when I made it! My family loved it my son finally eats broccoli! yaaay!

  • Wow, that is great news. Glad you son likes it.

  • brocolli is pretty good , i prefer steamed tho !!!

  • I like broccoli just about any ole way. Roasting it took more time than I like to spend on it, but it was good.

  • I made this tonight for supper and it was so good! My Turk told me at least a dozen times how good it was, and he doesn't even like broccoli! Thanks Marjie!

  • You are lucky, my guy didn't like it. He does love broccoli steamed so I get all the roasted i want.

Next time I roast veggies I plan on putting some onion in them, he might go for that.

That is if I ever talk to him again, right now I am pissed at him. That usually lasts a few hours, he has apologized 10 times, I am looking for 11.

  • aww he must have done something really bad then, make him apologize 12 times for good measure :P

  • He did, and he wrote me a note apologizing again.

  • Would frozen broccoli work in this?? I too am in admiration of your kitchen. Have seen seeral you tubes people have done of tours of their homes if you ever run out of ideas. I agree with you about bottom cabinetsI hate them

  • I bet frozen would work. I will hunt for some home tours. I did a bit of my bedroom in my day in my life video.

I have no lower cabinets now, all drawers. I love it.

    Thanks,

  • I made this today. It was sooooooooooo yummy. Thanks for the recipe!

  • I added pureed garlic, freshly ground black pepper and salt before cooking. I put fresh lime juice after it cooked, before serving. Very good!

  • You really jazzed it up nice!

    ~Cindy

    ~Cindy

  • where did you get that lemon presser? its neat!

  • I found it in a junk store in San Francisco.

I think it was a give away from SunKist in the 40's or 50's.

  • Me too, I am making this again tonight. It was really good.

  • i am going to try this for dinner, yum

  • I don't do well in an unorganized kitchen. I don't do dishes so when the husband puts them away he better be putting them in the right spots. He does mess up but it getting better.

I designed the kitchen for how I wanted it to work for me. No bottom cupboards, all drawers instead.

  • I am so glad you posted this cause I have past by the fresh broccoli in the veggie section so many times not knowing how to prepare or cook it. NOW, I can, and it looks SO YUMMY! I'm making this soon!! Great job! :)

  • I need your kitchen! :) and that dish looks so yum :) will be trying it :)

  • I will be trying that!! I love your cooking videos! I think it was you that commented on ketchup. Did you say you had a recipe to making your own? If so could you please email me? Thanks Dea

  • I don't make ketchup, I tried but it takes forever. I think it was the BBQ sauce.

  • .I'm going to make this!

  • Let me know if you liked it.

  • Oh my goodness...I'm going to make this! :c) Thanks so much~

    You have a beautiful kitchen...

  • Thanks,

I am going to do a different veggie today.

  • OMG!! I'm trying this tonight!! I usually just put it in a skillet.... but roasting it.. hmmm, that sounds better!! Could us do this with zucchini and other hard veggies like that??

  • I think zucchini would be good, it has more water in it so it might now roast as dark.

  • I have had this & yes, its VERY good. Thanks for reminding me, havent had it in a while. :)

  • It's a nice change from the usual steamed isn't it.
