  • Are there yezdi's in the UK?

    Over here there are none..

Can you tell us something about the quality of these bikes-- although as an enfield rider, i have an impression..

  • Hi I've not seen any Yezdi's in the u.k. at all , But never can tell there might be some around but not like . . The quality of these Yezdi's from factory may not be competitive as when these were around in the 80's there was'nt realy any competition , Having cornered the market in india maybe there was no reason for progress , One thing i do like is that they can start with flat battery unlike Jawa . But with Jawa's and Yezdi's now being restored and upgraded they may be far better Terry

  • okay, i understood the 634 frame is similar to the 638-644 frame, but the fuel tank is different, so also the mountings.

The 634 fuel tank looks shorter then the 638 tank, so the latter might not leave space enough for the 634 seat...

A ts 350 is a nice base for a more simple cafe racer.. with a M-handlebar your é almost there..

You did some serious spending on a jawa. the new stuff would be more money then the bike over here.

Why the honda mudguard instead of jawa 634 ones?

  • Hi . I used these Honda mudguards because the 634 one's was'nt what i had in mind , The rear mudguard is Honda CB 750 front guard cut to suit . All this was done because these were the only one's that would suit my need's . The only thing i woud change now is the tank but i've been trying to decide for a while like i say maybe Yezdi type B or maybe complete custom cafe tank not sure but when i make my mind up i'll make a new vid , Im also fitting 632 engine this winter , Cheer's Terry

  • Hi Arnaud , Im not sure if 638 plastic's will fit 634 frame without modification's , i know the tank's have different mount's at rear and the 638 tank pad's may also be a problem but im not sure , But with modification's anything is possible , my r.t. is a T.S. 350 with plastics removed and Honda chrome mudguards but to do this i had to modify seat rail , I have plan's to change tank aswell to somthing with better shape to suit the look im after maybe Yezdi type B tank not sure ,Cheer's Terry

  • HiTerry, Overland we don't have the RT, but do have the TS/type 638.

this type has the plastic rear and slightly upswept seat.

Since you have seen al the stuff in rebuilt, do you know if it is possivle to exchange the 638 plastic rear-end for this steel rear fender(type 634??) and 634 flat buddyseat, whilt remaining the 638 fuel tank?

    B.R

    Arnaud

p.s. this will also add space for a luggage rack..

  • Hello, Terrence. That is one lovely motorcycle. am from kerala, India. had a yezdi 350 twin for years before i had to sell it off. couldn't get any parts.. :( but it was such a good bike, nice and smooth..had some great times on it. just Great what you've done with your motorcycle. all the very best..

  • @oknglo Hi , Thank's for your comment , Part's for Jawa are getting harder now ,but there's still a reasonable supply in U.K. , I've alway's liked the Yezdi ,they have a charecter of their own , I'de would'nt mind owning one myself , And i agree these twostroke's are load's of fun . All the best to you . Terry

  • This is probably the most beautiful jawa 350 that I have seen

  • nice jawa

  • Thank's Im pleased you like it.

  • Some very nice modifacations , the last Jawa 350 I had was bought new in the later 70's , but was also fitted with a sidecar , I loved that bike& sidecar esp through some real bad snow in the winter.

  • Thank's for your comment . Those 1970's Jawa's are my favorite . I used to have the 350 oilmaster. and i had a side car for a while . It was the best . I can understand why you liked it so much. Cheer's . Terry.

  • Can you restore my Carabela 350?(w/Jawa 350 motor, Jikov carburator).. hahaha... ok, i´ll try to do on my own, you did a great great work...thanks for your mechanicals tips... are really very useful.. your work really inspired me... thanks a lot.

  • Cheer's , Im well pleased That you can take some idea's from the film. Given half a chance i would love to rebuild your engine Haha. Thank's again , And all the best. Terence.

  • Funny thing happened this morning ! Flicking through Classic Bike Guide magazine my eyes were cought by the rare sight "Jawa Sportster" with a Very nice black "RT based" 350 ! Some guy called Terry Hines from Birmingham must`ve seen your bike on here and decided to copy it exactly....? Kidding apart! Well done mate..! We need to see more Jawas,CZs,MZs etc in the classic bike press ! Cheers bro` ! Billyboy !!

  • Hi, You had me worried there for a bit :-) Classic bike guide was interested in the Jawa R.T. 350, And requested some still's to publish. That was the last i heard. Which edition is it in ? All the best. Terence.

  • What tyres are those ? Are those the original rims on the wheels ? That`s some finish on the engine etc !! Sorry ! Questions,Questions....! Still havent been able to pick up my 634 because of the weather ! be prepared for advice requests once i have her ! Have a nice Xmas Bro` !! Billyboy

  • Hey , How you keeping Billy. The rim's are standard . Ive gone metric with the tyre's and brought sport's tyre's . I'll text you in the next couple of day's with detailed info. Good new's you're the proud owner of the 634 . If i can give advice , Help with part's e.t.c. You're more than welcome to ask. No worries there. Have a good XMas and a great 2010 . Terence.

  • Just goes to show what can be done with a little improvisation and ingenuity. Love the LED's. A nice looking bike and a credit to you, Well done. Regards John.

  • Thank you very much, Appriciate your comment

  • Great work. Best looking jawa I've seen. Love the cafe racer looks.

  • Thank you very much. Cheer's. Terence.

  • Well done mate ! Got a big soft spot for those eastern bloc bikes ! Had a CZ 175 trail bike as a kid ! The semi auto` model ! Of course I didn`t appreciate it as i should have at the time ! Was just a field bike really. You could get them for next to nothing then ! Have to say yours is the best road Jawa i`ve seen ! Shows you dont have to be meticulous with original parts etc !! Hell of a great bike my friend !!

  • Thank you very much i appriciate what you say. The Jawa started as a basket case so putting it back original was'nt an option , It would cost to much. I did'nt want to scrap it either so i though there must be some kinda custom i could do with it. And this is what i cam up with. Glad you like.. Terence.

  • Those LED lights are brilliant, well done on that one.

  • Thank's for your comment. I meant to say in the film that they're super brite LED's 3 volt. with 470 ohm resister soldred in the circuit. Thank's appriciate your viewing.
