@wingshad0w00982 After the war with the Titans and Axis, the asteroid was premoted to commander and the poor casualty of war.....the space ship was properly laid to rest. As for Katz, they lauched his body into the sun in fears he might come back as a zombie or worse, come back to life.

And apparently he was still alive on Earth too, making a cameo during a later episode.
