Really? Harry Potter is the entire reason I got addicted to reading and wanting to be a writer. And I have already wrote four page summaries for two books. And another reason Twilight is retarded,would YOU like someone coming into your room every night and WATCHING YOU SLEEP?!?!?! That is why "I watch you sleep" is such a creepy phrase. Twilight has NO PLOT, No character depth, no dialog... NOTHING!
The author didn't write the book for any real reason, other than to satisfy her 'sex' life. Twilight wasn't planned out beginning to end, and the writing is worse than my 9 year old brother's.
Twilight is FAIL.
I grew up with Harry Potter- but the books are just visibally better. If you can't see that, then you... ugh, FAIL. Just fail! DX

You're right! There are a lot of people who might prefer Twilight over Harry Potter just like there are a lot of people who might prefer Harry Potter. That's the thing. There's so many people in this world that there are more than enough fans for both series, so I don't quite get the hate. I like both of them myself, even if I do prefer Harry Potter.

I love both, maybe Harry Potter more. And yea, Edward is great, but I love the books mostly because of the content, dry humor and the fact that they are easy to relate too in some aspects. I'm 14 too.

but i read most of the twilight books and was a HUGE fan WAY before i even knew there would be a movie!
then suddenly the movie came out and everyone became twilight-crazy too.
but the reason twilight is so popular with us girls is because, well, we all dream of that "edward" who loves us more than anything in the world...
so we girls can really relate to this PLUS the story is really well written. :)

twilight=lame plot, with boring characters, and crazy fan girls who only like edward.
harry potter=complex interesting plot, confusing(but great) characters, and fans that can actually read a complex book.
