I personally think the VW is a perfect car for the modern hot rod ethos...being one of the most prolific cars ever built, parts are cheap and easy to find. Perfect canvas for customizing, and it'll get better MPGs than your flathead. Plus i've seen beetles that run 10's

If I had to guess, I would say that the Neg Camber on the rear wheels is that way due to suspension geometry limitations of the lowered stance...
