  • Beautiful song. Unrequited love is worse than getting shot - the pain runs deeper and lasts longer.

Anyone know the 2011 TMC Memorial Tribute Song? It is extremely poignant, too.

  • long live TCM.<3

love this song, fell in love with it, SO glad i found it!

ive tried for DAYS to find this song!

  • this song is heart wrenching. I too heard this on TCM (thank God for that channel,eh?) Thank you so much....i can listen to it over and over, and even though it is sad, it makes me feel better in a weird way. It reminds me no matter how low i may feel, there is somebody, somewhere, who has gone through something similar...someone who lost someone or something, someone who is aching. It makes the pain more bearable. Cheers!

  • Great song. Looks like all of we recent commenters saw this on TCM. I'd been watching the TCM vid over and over for about 2 weeks and finally decided to find the song. I wonder had it been used to other purposes if it would be associated with the death of a loved one. It reminds me of a relationship where someone totally loses themselves in someone else and behave counter to who they really are.

  • @mybutterpecanbutt Wow, it's really amazing that so many people have seen that TCM thing. It makes me feel a little less alone, that others come here to find it :) this is such a beautiful song

  • @mybutterpecanbutt to be totally honest, that's exactly my point of view as well.

I discovered this track while sitting on a train away from a girl. We were not really together but were close to it. That day we met and she behaved strange. Later on when I asked her what's going on she told me that she don't want to be with me. So I happened to listen to Sophie Hungers CD and especially this track on accident. I admit that it almost made me cry... beautiful matching lyrics.

  • @nokemiz That's so sad =(

I just got out of a relationship over the weekend. Hope you find someone better that you loves you.

The feeling of someone else's warmth and love is the best thing in the world

  • @SexyStudChris and can be one of the most lethal things you can experience if its not right....

  • What a deep and powerful song...to all those we've lost in death and in life. A very very talented singer/songwriter. Thank you Switzerland for her voice and words. TCM couldn't have chosen a better song. Also watched all the Mickey Rooney movies..

  • This song is dedicated to all those we have lost, and are no longer with us...

  • watching mickey rooney thursday and I heard this song for the first time and it's beautiful! :D

  • Thank you to the artist and the one who posted this lovely piece.

Those that are no longer here ( as shown in TCM Remembers 2010), well wishes to your families as well as to all the other people out there that have lost someone dear.

  • @InnerWulf your welcome mate ;) I felt like I had to post it because I just love this song since the first time I ever heard it...

  • @InnerWulf Strange what a difference a small spot on television makes. I'd have not likely heard this if it weren't for that segment on TCM a short moment ago. It's a well written, beautifully sung song. You can never be sure how you find things, I think.

  • The current TCM network tribute/montage to cinema icons whom we lost in 2010 is wonderful, and this tune behind it is perfect... melancholy and haunting. Gets me right in the ol' heart-strings.

  • LOVE THIS SONG....ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL

  • YouTube is the first place I go to for music, after Googling lyrics. Wow, you'd think Sophie Hunger was a total unknown before TCM... I heard her first there too. Love TCM!

RIP to Blake Edwards as well who passed too late to be included in this Remembers segment.

  • @LateNightCable Blake Edwards was in there!

  • @LateNightCable Thats an incredible song. I also heard it on TCM. Now I can't get it out of my mind.

  • how did everyone know to find this song here after they saw it on TCM?

    this is crazy LOL

TCM is where i heard it too...

  • WOW... love new discoveries. Beautiful song. Thanks TCM :)

  • beautiful. She sounds a bit like Corrine Bailey Rae.

  • I'm so grateful to whoever it was at TCM that introduced people to Sophie Hunger in this magical way.

  • I know it from TCM too

  • Like you, I just heard this song on TCM. It woke me up from sleep. It was so haunting I hoped I could find it online. So sad to see the passing of all these great people in the film industry. Who knew how really wonderful they were? TCM always picks the most beautiful and unusual songs for its TCM Remembers. So sad and haunting.

  • Lovely, lovely song! I heard it on Turner Classic Movies - played for people in the film industry who have passed away this year. I had to look it up I was so haunted by its sound and lyrics. Thanks so much for putting it up!

  • TCM chose this very melancholic song to be played during their remembrance of those who have died this year. This song plus the amazing video editing made the tribute one of the most moving pieces i've seen in a while. RIP to all those we lost this year. :(

  • i love TMC thats where i heard this song, its beautiful :)

  • Was referred to this song by my mother, a TCM lover- She says it reminds her of me. :) A truly gorgeous song.

  • What a beautiful song for a group of amazing people. Like if you heard this during "TCM Remembers"!

  • @XHealingDreamX Beautiful song that matches well with a beautiful tribute to some wonderful and talented people.

  • @XHealingDreamX yep! saw it on tcm!

  • I just can't quit hearing this song. So amazingly haunting too for the video of the passing of these individuals. Beautiful job as always.

  • Haha yeah, TCM here also. Great song though. TCM usually always has really great songs for their 'Remembers' things. They always make me cry. ;(

  • I had to google this one too after watching TCM! Wow!

  • were we all watching Andy Hardy today....i had to find this song, it's beautiful, beautiful voice...

  • I just heard this on TCM and was instantly mesmerized. Had to Google the lyrics and am so excited at discovering Sophie Hunger, what a beautiful voice!

  • Me too, it was a beautiful segment. Made a little sad though, the Hollywood Golden Age Legends are all dying out so quickly, kinda sucks.

  • TCM for me too. Such a good song, I'd never heard of it before.

  • ditto

  • I just heard it on Tcm too, wanted to hear it again. Amazing!

  • Heard this on TCM...What a great song!!

  • That's where I just heard it as well - on TCM. Had to find out the name of the artist. What a gorgeous song.

  • I just heard this song on TCM. It was the music for their year end TCM Remembers. I really like this song, perfect melodic melancholy for remembering everyone we said goodbye to this year.
