Every time I use iTunes on my Mac I have to access my iTunes account information & click "add this computer" under the heading iTunes in the Cloud > iTunes match. Shouldn't this setting be remembered & applied automatically every time I use iTunes? The settings for my iPod are remembered so why isn't it the same for my computer?

Is it possible to delete the uploaded songs from iTunes Match? I have a lot of live rips of songs which won't be on the iTunes store, so i don't want them to take up all my iCloud storage.

Is it possible to delete multiple ones at one time, rather than having to delete them one at a time?

@TomArmstrong7 itunes Match Music won't take up you 5GB iCloud Storage. Instead you have a 25,000 song limit so if you have more than that then it shouldn't be a problem.

@biskander7337 You have to first make sure those songs are imported into your itunes library of the MBA. Then you subscribe to itunes match and it will upload everything. Then you can delete your entire iTunes library on your computer not iCloud. Then you can stream everything thing without taking space on your MBA or you can download important songs for offline use. BTW when uploading your iCloud music I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have to transfer the music from HD to MBA when importing.

@TheYottobyte The 5GB on iCloud is only for backing up essential iPhones files (such as your Contacts, messages and so on...) So basically anything that isn't music or videos is uploaded to iCloud.

If you go to your iPhone Settings > iCloud and look through that list, you'll notice there's no music or videos.

iTunes Match is essentially an extension of iCloud for music only, which Apple are charging a $25 premium for.

Today this feature came out in several parts of Europe. I'm a premium Spotify user and I do not see the benefits of iTunes Match. I'm a huge Apple fan but this is the first time I'm not going with them. In iTunes Match I have to illegally download each track (which isn't always that easy) and match it in iTunes whereas in Spotify I just click and play. How come that everyone is so positive about iTunes Match?

When iTunes matches my library with the iTunes Store (Step 2) and then uploads the album artwork and remaining songs (Step 3), does it change the track info? If yes, what happens if not all of the tracks on an album are matched? I went through great pains to update the track info for much of the content in my library (e.g. album artist, composer, genre, etc.), and I do not want iTunes to mess it up by only updating the info for certain tracks and not all uniformly. Lastly; The bitrate is 256kb from the cloud, what if you have a song that is higher bitrate than that? Does it upload it even if it finds a match? Or do you have to downgrade your bitrate?

@Tanax13 The thing is that when using the SPotify Premium (best streaming service by the way) it just download cache for streaming and erases it after you skip song. You do not need to download if you do not want to. On the itunes match you have to even if your in a wifi connection. THATS SUCKS. The reason why apple put the option of "just show downloaded songs" is for preventing you brother or whoever to not fill your ipad, iphone with all the songs in the cloud. THIS SERVICE MUST CHANGE
