There are so many controversial topics that have strong arguements on both sides, ie. the use of the N word, as I'd rather put it because it adds a kind of up front statement of my feeling on the word. I totally understand the point of overuse but as a person learns throughout life sometimes their opinions change.Or, their way of presenting their thoughts or opinions can change as they learn about their effectiveness. Sometimes what looks like mellowing out is just a person getting wiser.
To the person who posted this video: You should note the difference between Howard saying nigger for the sake of COMEDY, and (racist/antisemetic) Mel Gibson saying nigger only to OFFEND and BELITTLE people. Therefore it is perfectly reasonable for Howard to use the word here and still be justifiably angry with Mel later.
Racist terms don't mean anything more than any other words. Humans apply meanings to these things. The fact is, is that white people are the most racist people because minorities cannot come up with good racial slurs for english speaking peoples. As I type this, it seems "english" is no longer a word, which is pretty funny. Every "color" has been enslaved at one point in time and that's just simple fact.

Gibson's language and actions come from a place of HATE and he absolutely meant them EVERY time...no comedy or satire there. Sure, Howard has mellowed and evolved over the years, and we will always have the good old "pit bull" days no matter what, but I still think that one hour of one episode of Howard's current show blows a weeks worth of mainstream crap right out of the water.

i didn't listen to howard growing up, i am from canada, and in ottawa we didn't get howard stern. but all the clips i have listened to from the classic era are brilliant. billy west, and jackie and the jokeland productions were great. i think howard took his divorce really hard, and changed after that just like Elliot Offen says, btw elliot needs to be back on the show. and i think going to that shrink that often hasn't helped howie, he's getting old and more jewey and trying to find salvation.

On a clip today that he posted ETBH2 said if you email him he would send a link. I think it was on the Gary, Ralph, DePace clip.
