Normally with mediaeval music people just display an image from a manuscript. Thought I was seeing things when I noticed the figures moving! I love mediaeval music, and the music of Spain especially. Thanks for posting.

@pokoid - ...even though these aren't exactly Spanish - but rather Peninsular - there wasn't Spain nor Portugal per se - but rather counties that would eventually coalesce into either one of the modern peninsular countries. Alfonso the Tenth was king of Castille, León and Galicia.

@clafey Absolutely true, not unlike the process here in Britain, but from the perspective of the 21stC it is the music which forms the mediaeval heritage of what we now call Spain........... even if they were different nations at the time. Although my family are from Andalusia, so their music was probably quite different. Either way, the medieval music of the Peninsular is beautiful.

The cantigas are one of my especial favorites, as is most medieval music.The trouble is there is a shortage of singers and musicians who perform the music adequately.That isnt true of Obsidienne,though.They are delightful,as is Discantus,Alla francesca and La Reverdie
