It's amazing how it sounds just like the real thing. I was just in the Bronx for vacation in November and took the #6 into the city (from the Bhure Ave. Station), and the R142's are beautifull. I hadn't been on the 6 in probably 12 years. Just wonderfull looking trains. They got the power up and power down sound right on the money. Great clip. Oh, and the Ghostbusters firehouse is sweet!
How can i? It needs to be on the tracks, The only otha way i can hook up the train to make sounds without track, is if i touch the pick up roller and a wheel with the transformer wires, which i wont do.
JUST got MINE today!!!! let me tell u they are pretty kick ass!!! very detailed, AND don't have large gaps between cars, like in previous models, such as the R62s, in my opinion R142s are best subway models from MTH.. although they could have recorded the REAL R142 announcements.. I would like to see the R68s come out next!! but it will probably be another year and a half before MTH announces another subway model..
