  • ALEX MERCER GET A SWORD .....

  • Nicely put together, you can be truely called a sword ARTIST rather than those who think they know it all because they are restricted to their Kendo Kenjutsu etc...

  • you mean the people who know what the fuck they're doing and would kill an asshole like this in real life. martial arts isn't dancing if this ass wants to twirl a baton he can join the colour guard just leave the would martial out of it

  • I mean in an expressive MEDATATEIVE state....And im sorry but martial arts is a dance. Look at some of the shit they do, its all dance...or rather dance came from martial arts...Its a dance, the moves in both expressive swordart (kenvert) and in the true way of the samurai, are both very fluid and beautiful. Martial arts is indeed a dance.

a martial art is an artform, any martial artist knows it, and yes it may not be true to any martial art.

    Kenvert is EXPRESSIVE not practical.

  • the true way of the samurai? where did you get your degree in japanese culture? since you know so much about the true way of the samurai can you explain how the role of rape as the first act of courtship related to the societal value of women amongst the warrior class and the ideology behind it in the confucian virtue system built into the samurai class? i mean you did say you know about the true way of the samuai and what i just mentioned was built into samurai lifestyle please tell me.

  • Theres a fine line between being smart and being arrogant . Dont go off on wild tangents to prove "intelectual prowess" i said martial arts are a art form hence Arts. Way of the samurai...i guess it was too broad of a subject for you, maybe i was wrong in saying it. but i was refering to the art of the samurai sword. they basics are still there.

All isee you as after spouting off on a tangent is being an arrogant knowitall who realy needs to think before he responds.

    im done

  • bullshit western definition of the word art the kanji jutsu does not imply thats if you spoke japanese you'd understand the word jutsu is comprised of radicals that means adhering to a strict path though the path is twisted and arduous, it has nothing to do with the western idea of art and it's a bullshit interpretation to compare this dance with the science of kenjutsu. this is dancing it's not a martial art.

  • Western term martial art also adheres to all forms of martial arts, weather from europe asia america africa south americ wherever. In our term its an art form. it may be westernized but he still has some form of basics in there. Who the hell cares if he flourisheds the blade, its not like itll happen in a fight. im not gunna challenge someone to a sparring match and spin my sword around. its been westernized who cares.

im tired of this already, you wanna continue send me a note.

  • japan cares, people who spend their lives studying real martial arts care, it's not yours to jerk around with. if you wanna do this bullshit don't use a japanese sword, don't throw around the word samurai, don't throw around japanese terms. call it what it is, baton dancing.

  • Call it what it is. Maybe im getting the vibe you feel here when i throw out your terms.

Call it what it is Kenvert. You learn the arts of kendo, and kenjutsu and other martial arts, and mix them into your own, and add flourishes and eyecatching moves. What so your saying your against the sword being used in an artistic way? Kenvert stands out at an ART form, but it still has many roots back to the origional martial arts the person took the time to learn. u dont speak 4 japan, they do XMA too

  • there is no kendo or kenjutsu in this, this person would die against a beginner of any sword art. this is dancing thats all it is. it's an embarrassment

  • Im sending you a vid. in a mesage to stop spaming this kids page lets take this elsewhere

  • very good and i think i recognise the sword lol

  • Wow that was just plain awesome. :o I wish I had the time t' train and be that good. xP

  • fantastic! great nature and great flows!

  • I liked the video a lot!

I also saw you have improved a bit on the downward cuts which was nice to see.

  • As you can see your advice wasn't vain :D

  • Nice atmosphere in this video. But I notice that on some point in the clip you grab the blade to flip it. I don't think you'll be able to do it like that with real sword. Great edit keep 'em coming.

  • Well with real sword, i could grab the parts of the blade that are not sharp, don't worry well even if I wouldn't be able to do that who cares :P If the atmosphere is nice, I achieved my goal :D

  • nice the scene around 1.00 looked fantastic, keep up the training and vids mate

  • I see that you have come back to your practice:) don't give up!
