I''ve had previous experience with violent females (from a pet shop, I didn't do my research!) and my cousin's had males who were friendly and never bit or scratched them!
Also, would there be any problems in keeping a C&C cage with guineas in my room? Like smell, or cleanliness.
@Jasmine118247 Both my females were never aggressive towards me or anyone else in my family (they were purchased from a reputable pet store).
I keep my C&C cage in my room. It can get a little smelly, but that can be helped by tidying up their cage every day and changing their toilet area twice a week (or more, depending how many guinea pigs you have).
@Jasmine118247 Well fleece is alot better than sawdust for cleanliness. It does get stinky so i suggest buying febreeze or air fresheners. (Just dont put anything IN the cage it can be toxic to the piggies)
@saraurby77365 The ramp is made out of those cube thingies. I just bent them so they curved. Broke two while trying, so it's a good thing I had extras. ;-)
@1997flowerpower Yes, I used coroplast. I highly recommend it. It helps tremendously with keeping their mess confined, especially when you're cleaning their living area!
I bought a cage just like that a few minutes ago off of ebay! and for only $65.00 and it is awesome! except yours looks bigger than mine. I think that mine will be arriving in a couple of wekks woo hoo!!! i can't wait oh and by the way nice cage and video! the guinea pigs seem so calm and safe in their environment, that is very good! :)
I love cages like that. I'm getting one soon. :) my sister dosent understand that guinea pigs need lots of space! She thinks a 2 by 2 is big enough for 4 pigs! (they don't live in that now)
so $20 per set? thx so much! bcuz i just got my guinea pig like 2 weeks ago and i watched some videos about peoples c&c cages and now i really want one
They're so funny. I added a small "privacy towel" to one area of the cage, and after they checked it out, they started popcorning. So funny how they get happy over the tiniest thing. It's great to watch! :-D
@balls384 I made the C&C cage. It's very simple, just time consuming, depending on how intricate you want to make it.

A breeder told me fleece can impact their intestines on indigestion, have you noticed any of your piggies eating it?
kornball83 10 months ago
@kornball83 I've never noticed them eat the fleece.

@summer751 I (now) use two layers of towels and the top layer is a fleece blanket, so there's three layers altogether. :-)
