@dbspaceoditty Not a very good argument for Aikido. Here is a better one, the standup game of MMA is supported by BJJ and wrestling. Try training in MMA then modify your Aikido to work. I also suggest sensitivity and sticky hands training found in wing chun....I've found sucess making my Shotokan more effective with my exposure to collegiate wrestling and some MMA ground grappling (I learned how to fight on the ground then I took those same principles and applied it to standup).
