A human hits terminal velocity of appx 120 mph in appx 16 sec. He accels and decels a lot -- let's say it cancels out. I figure he falls at 120 mph for about a 45 sec, which would be 1.5 miles. So maybe 3+ miles tall? Since the tower is super magical I'm not going to worry about structural strength.

There are plenty of superheroes that would wipe the floor out of Dante. Superman can fly at lightspeed and destroy a solar system with a sneeze(Not exaggeration). Flash can move faster than lightspeed and punches at a subatomic level. World War Hulk prevented the earth from exploding by shifting its crust. Silver Surfer can time travel traveling at faster than lightspeed and transmute matter into anything. These are from comic books and they're far stronger than Dante. I can go on with the list.
