  • This makes me SOOOOOO damn hungry! I mean that stuff looks AWESOME. You should see what the regular people eat in Federal Prisons! The State system is nothing short of dog food.

  • @JCE1972 blasphemy

  • beyond the sea in the background?

  • Is this what prison was like for Martha Stewart?

  • watching this was retarded

    now im hungry :(

    for food AND power

  • Type in Vic Martino - acting reel at the search and enjoy. IMDB: Vic Martino.

  • an aristocrat

  • lol, they make the food look so good for sum reason, one of my fav scenes too

  • My favourite part of the film, especially the bit where he slices the garlic so thinly with his razor blade.

  • the video is very mOoovy.. not very clear..upload properly brother..

  • I bet thats gotta be the best tasting gravy ever especially with that razor cut garlic.

  • Damn right....its the best movie ever..period...

  • "Vinnie dont put too many onions in the sauce"

  • Okay, now we can eat!

  • i love this part of the film

    dinner & jazz

    fucking beautiful

  • that food looks soo good...

  • just showed this clip to my mom makinggarlic bread "she didnt razor the garlic"..

    great flick.

  • That's Scorsese's father cooking the tomato sauce. Martin had both of his parents cooking in this film.

  • does anyone know what song is playing in the background?

  • Somewhere beyond the sea by Bobby Darrin

  • This scene always makes me hungry.

  • me too, redjac666 !

  • does anyone know the name of the sauce? PLEASE REPLY

  • the sauce is a basic marinara sauce. but when the sauce is ready they add the meatballs and cook them a little longer which brings the juices of the meatballs to the pan. private message me leigh sutcliffe on facebook to give you the full recipe and a few more mafia recipes!

  • i don't get it where did ray liotta get that bag of food... i know they would pay off the guards but did they alow him an escort to go fucking shopping...or did the guards pick it up for them, because if thats the case i don't know if i would trust the food?

  • Whenever he visits his wife, she sneaks him in meat, booze and pills. Remember that scene where she gets pissed that his mistress visited him and starts throwing everything on the table?

  • in that prison i believe he was allowed to go shopping, that prison was like a house but you couldnt get out, only to meet the visits and shopping escoted by a guard

  • that's how i eat at my place.

    WOP 4 LIFE

  • yeah vinnie has to go on a diet he dies a few years after this movie

  • This scene is near the beginning of side 2 of my DVD copy of Goodfellas and I start it here all the time to see the cooking-in-prison bit. I get the munchies just watching. No kidding I think I have gained 5 lb case of this movie....lol

  • I think slicing garlic with a razor blade is a good idea. It would take a couple of hours to slice enough for that big pot of sauce, but i guess Pauly had the patience and plenty of time on his hands.

  • Well in prison there isn't much for you to do

  • BILLY MAYS HERE! Are you spending all your time chopping garlic with a razor?

Introducing the Mach 10, 10 razorblades attached together to dice a garlic in a single chop.

  • Every time I watch this scene, I want to eat a sandwich of thinly sliced spam, bacon, fried egg, cheddar cheese, onions and garlic with a lot of mayonnaise on a Cuban bread roll.

  • They're both great movies, but Goodfellas was a more realistic portrayal of the Mafia.

  • well, seeing it as the godfather took place in the 50's and this in the 70-90's I think its fair enough to say the godfather did portayed the cosa nostra realistic.

  • yeah, this movie is way better

  • Yea!

  • In goodfellas everybody always gives the praise to Deniro. But I think the best performance was Liotta's. Liotta's performance made you hate and love Henry.

  • you capped it off brilliantly old bean!

  • "old bean"???

  • sorry. british term.. like "old chap".

    or "mate"

  • Hahahahaha...Alright, thanks! Anymore interesting British terms?

  • ermmmm..

    bladdered means drunk

ermm bobs your uncle.. means thats it you got it.

when i think of more ill post it up fella

  • Hahahaha...Sweet!

  • Jolly good show'

  • Cutting the garlic with a razor blade. I always thought that was the coolest thing. I've gotta try that.

  • who records this off a tv and then uploads it. lets get a dvd rip or something

  • It is from the DVD.

  • no offense i know you uploaded it but the quality isn't the best you know what i mean

  • yeah, I know...my problem is that I don't have a DVD burner.

  • I gve you credit for uploading the scene =). I love this scene and the movie as a hole. It looks like VHS quality tough. 5 stars

  • Top 5 scene in the best movie of all time, guaranteed to make you hungry!

  • USP Lewisburg was known as the Mafia Manor.

  • I wouldn't believe everything you see in a film, i know it was based on someone but remember its Hollywood too.

  • Well, according to the DVD commentary, the real Henry Hill will state that this scene was exactly like his time in prison.

  • If wiseguys went to prison back then, they would be treated like kings. Now, its a totally different ballgame.

  • only the mob would have manicured fingers in the joint.

  • love the dinner part
