  • i think u need to invest in a better clutch..

  • Comment removed

  • @GrindMachine my name my not be all that good but dude look a your name

  • @GrindMachine our names are super funny

  • @GrindMachine yo i think imssuper high right now

  • magicAyrtonforever first of all stupid nick name, second 240sx is cheap but is a king car and is perfec to all: drift, drag, street everything!!!! and many more fans than for Z's

  • @MrKawolsky Careful careful... Given, 240's are nice, but Z cars are legends. From Datsun to modern, they carry the badge of the Z legacy. I'm quite sure there are just as many fans for each, but I myself do prefer the S13 (check mine out! hehe). But I've seen plenty of 240Z's and 280Z's with RB series motors in them. Just as good with a classic look too! haha :P

  • sikkkccc nice mann looks like a sleeper

  • The coolest thing about the 240sx is you can put alot of engines in: KA24, SR20, RB20, RB25, RB26, LS engines, 13B, 2JZ, VQ35DE

  • do vq's && my mother's 2.5 from her '03 altima have VVT ??

  • 1st Gen 1MZ-FE > VQ35DE SIKE BEING DUMB chill chill...

  • how bout build a rb26dett like me in my 1995 s14

  • We just dropped the motor in for a prelim test fit in my buddys s13, if your on my350z you prolly have seen the thread.

  • bah u can fit just about any engine in a 240....granted the 240 wont look like a 240 in the front since u wud need to do some major custom body work!

  • LOL, you have no Idea what you're talking about. He's worked on more cars than you can ever dream of. Instead of being a little bitch, why don't you read some of the builds he has done on some of the Nissan forums. Asshole.

  • listen to him go into 2nd gear. i dont care if hes built a ton of cars, doesnt mean he can drive em.

  • lmao damm this dude doesnt think a rb25 with fit in a 240...you know nothing. and i dont think his clutch was slipping..he was just spinning tires..there fore no grip.

  • damn, clutch slipp'n like a bitch. get that fixed and you got a road warrior. i'ld like a 500hp RB25 in my 240SX. tha's me personally.

  • That's where you're wrong. an RB25 WILL fit in a 240. i've seen it done by a friend of mine. Granted it's not the easiest, but it's been done. same as people say an RB26DETT won't fit in a 240, i've also seen that done.

  • yeah its a really big pain in the ass. but its actually really possible. you can even buy a dvd that will tell you how to swap a rb25 into a 240. but i mean your the fucking smart one here koolkid

  • Hell, they've got DVD's for jut about everything. RB26's, CA18's, SR20's. all that shit. Someone tried to tell me that every 240SX came stock with a KA24DE. 89 and 90 Came with a KA24(E). we got into an arguement about how much of a noob he was and then he just dissapeared lol. I fuck'n hate people who don't know an engine from their left shoe. people need to study before they comment. Thanks for the backup on this situation.

  • o_0, 2JZ-GTE would be really nice in a 180/200sx. You can fit them in 200sx's, not sure about 180's, but dammmmmn, they run like fkn cheetahs.

  • i have a s14 rb25det. You sir are an idiot and its hard? HAHA its a custom driveshaft mounts and little tid bits wireing and other stuff that you need to also do with an sr20. So its not hard.

  • @kylegraves1117 Agreed! :) I envy you though. :P My SR needs more torque!! Can I borrow a couple more pistons please??? haha :P

  • @JDMEF8MikeDevlin correct!! your on you tube.. search it.. theres heaps of them..

  • @JDMEF8MikeDevlin yeah i know a guy in ashvill nc with a rb26 in a 240 looks awsome

  • you can fit LS1's in there fuck stick :)

  • Dude, you can fit an LS7 in a 240, much less an RB25! I have seen both done!

  • but sr20 are so common, its nice to see something different.

    ka-t, LS1, VQ's..i'm not hating on sr20's by the way..i love them.

  • id rather go sr20 swap. dat thing has 2 much weight.

  • actually the vq dont weigh too much from the sr20. the vq weighs just as much as the ka24. vq all aluminum.

  • wow alot of people arguing with the rb and vq swap. i think it all depends on the persons perspective and BUDGET.. lol.. that's why i went vq35de. motor was only $350. hey mark i need your help with a u1001 code am getting.. and is the 04 flywheel the same as the 06 flywheel?

  • were can i get a VQ wit a 6spd

  • seems slow for a 3.5 swap

  • seems like the clutch is slipping

  • This car was finaly finished about 8 months ago. It recieved a 2.5" exhaust and a decent muffler to keep the noise down. My white 240 coupe (high compression motor) is doing great, with a video comming soon. I'll make sure to open the hood for those who wont read captions. Oh, and RB's....150 lbs more, 1/2JZ's, equally heavy. Plus, VQ parts are cheap!

  • You speak as though the RB is inferior to the VQ35 lol. Sure, the RB is heavier, but can also support way more power than the VQ35. The VQ35 is a good N/A build to have fun with, exactly what you're doing with it. The RB-series engines are remarkable force-fed engines, though parts are expensive. The RB engine has an insane amount of racing history under its belt. You can't knock either engine for what it is. Anyhow, nice work, sounds pretty mean.

  • rb<vq notice they didnt put an rb in the new skyline

  • wow...you're kidding right? The reason why they couldn't put an RB in the new Skyline is because a) The engine bay was not designed to house a straight-6, b) The weight ratio of the front/rear would have been thrown off because of the design of the car with a straight 6 and the new GTR was supposed to be a new concept with a fresh start. Notice how the GTR's engine IS NOT a VQ either lol, it's a VR38DETT. You cant back your comment with any valid info. Do some reasearch pl0x...

  • well said. RB series were brilliant, period. Notice VS's land speed record was in an RB TWENTY. That's right, a friggin GT-ST. I'm not knockin' anybody's choice, I love the creativity in VQ and VK swaps, but you're an idiot if you think RB's are obsolete. It all depends on what you want and why. This guy's VQ swap is wonderfully done. Let's focus on that, and keep in mind that RB series started it all (lol hahaha)

  • Good to see someone that makes logical sense and knows his facts.

  • Thanks anime891, just trying to set things straight!

  • Any plans on turbocharging this motor?

  • man.. your neighbors must LOVE you.. lol.. Nice VQ swap..

  • sounds like he needs an exhaust, and if your a nissan nut, you can tell what motor they have just by listening to it. Sr's, RB's, CA's, VQ's, VG's all have a unique tone.

  • you're one dumb fuck. go watch his other videos, then talk.

  • why would you think it isnt? he never opens his hood in this one.

  • ur a jackass watch his other vids or just listen to it rev does that sound like a ka to u???

  • There is no way in hell that is a 4 banger!!! Thats a 6 for sure!!

  • ya dumbass its a vq...which is a v6. that car is the sex btw.

  • no shit sherlock, i was saying that comment to juelzsantana. btw I know my nissan engines.

  • typical Rice Excuse ....There is no hill you shit

  • it had a small slant cant call it a hill but he was spinning

  • you also have to consider that its uphill s oit won tgo as fast

  • alrite i think u did a bad ass swap but the car is kinda slow from that take off u did

but put some more up maybe its faster than meets the eye

it sounds bad ass an i give u props for what u did an u are standing up 4 it as well

good job bro keep it up!!!

  • I'm really interested why you chose a VQ35DE.....

I mean, It is abit silly as there is basically no benefit over an RB or possibly 1/2JZ.

  • 1/2 JZ are for toyotas man. they would be a pain in the ass for wiring

  • I know but if he is doing a VQ swap, He is most probly smart enough to know that :P

  • i want the vq35 in my 240...

  • Very nice man, makes me want to hurry up and finish my project..

    MagicFaggotForever = idiot.

  • dude magicAyrtonforever your a fucking dlido man you dont know anything..theres not really any charecteristics for a light weight car and a motor..maybe a heavier car requires more tourqe but smaller cars dont require less tourqe or horse power..and im betting this 240sx/Z could beat your 350z that you supposovly "have" right

    w/e your garbage

awsome car man, im just a little pissed at that dudes comments.

  • Sorry to everyone else reading this. Some people cant build a car, so they have to buy one. For those of us who build them, nothing can describe the feeling. Oh, and its nice not having a car payment either! :) Those who can do, will do, those who cant, watch from the stands.

  • Plus only children do burn outs!

  • I must have really upset you. Guess your still not over the sticker shock of buying a heavier, slower car. And before you rant about that, there are two 350Zs in our family, plus my 240SX with a Z motor.

  • Remember, I didnt get on your page and knock you. So dont come on my page and do the same.

  • Oh yeah, I didnt mention it on here, but my personal one of these has larger brakes then your Z, so I CAN stop. Your losing ground here.

  • Jealous LOL! I got a 350Z so Fuck you faggotts :D

  • I also have to add that an engine is an engine. No matter what car its in. Are you saying that the Hot Rodders out there were wrong from dropping big blocks into 2800 lb shoe boxes in the 60's? What about a Bucket? Do you work with cars at all?

  • I appreciate all comments, but I have to admit, Im confused by what was meant on the last one. You say "Z engine's standard characterstics don't suit a light car....". I have to ask, what "standard characteristics" are you refering to?

  • Z engine's standard characteristics don't suit a light car, It was designed to run in the Z.

  • Jealous?

  • nice swap, we are about to start on my z, drop a rb26dett and take the vq35 engine out in my buddys 240sx , nice swap

  • Fucking douche bag below probably rides in a civic with a fartcan.

Nice job on the swap, much more original than the sr and rb swaps.

  • Nice Nice Big accomplishment tough one to cause the 240sx comes with 4cylinder engine . Nice Job

  • piss weak

    heap of shit

    get a fucking tune cunt

  • By your choice of words, I can only guess your younger than 20, or that you have some deficiency keeping you from a level of intelect that would allow you to convey a thaught in a more understandable way. I always donate to charities. If you tell me which one you belong to, I'll make sure the help you need gets to you.

  • lmao! I've got to remember that one.

  • that was weak!

  • Funny you say that, can you build it? If you can, prove it.

  • North Carolina. Emissions in this state are for vehicles 96 and newer (OBDII only). Safety for everything else. This car only needs catalysts on the exhaust and a char canister. They have to APPEAR to function for it to pass a safety inspection. Thats pretty much it.

  • where do u live and if that state requires emissions

    have u had any problems?

  • thanks, i had a feeling it was lighter then the KA24DE. BTW, are you using megasquirt or a 350z ecu and harness?

  • Stock 04 (late 04 with AF sensors) ECM, BCM and harnesses. As far as I know, this is the only swap in exsistance utilizing the stock ECM intergrated into the origional vehicles wiring harnesses.

  • Someone please correct me on that statement. If anyone else has one running on the stock ECM, I'd like to talk to them.

  • yo! hit me up mine is in a s14.

  • How much does the VQ35 weigh?

  • The VQ35DE weighs in at about 290 to 300 lbs. The KA24DE that origionally came in the 240sx weighs about 480 lbs.
