I have a job teaching adults who have learning disabilities, I make less than $800 a month. I have a BA in Sociology, and would love to become a certified sign language interpreter. One of my students has hearing problems, so I practice with him a lot. I have friends who graduated 2-3 years ago, who have yet to find a job. It is a sad state.
I graduated in 1999 with a double major. I couldn't get a decent job and lived with my parents until I got accepted to grad school in 2003. I got my M.A. in 2005 and the only jobs I could get that paid above $12 an hour wouldn't give me enough hours for me to live on (and $12 was not enough to pay basics). I'm now out of savings, but one of my grad school colleagues obviously has money and offered me a job. I got called today about a job on Beaver St. (near OWS) that pays $10.85!
I am a Bachelor of Business Double Major in Sales and Marketing who worked part time during my degree. I have to live at home and off my savings; I don't want to take welfare as I believe overwhelming welfare state is what has in part screwed up the economy so I can't get a job. I had a job working for Beretta but I lost it due to hard times. I have applied for nearing 150 jobs since, had 5 interviews and no one wants to know because I dont have enough experience. Catch 22.
I am a college grad with a BA in Political Science. The first job I had was working in a retail store part time. I couldn't pay any of my bills. I moved back home but did little good. Soon I was so heavily in debt that after 9 years of trying to get out, I still cannot find any career.
I am a college graduate with a BA in English. I thought at the very least I could get an office temp job. For the past 8 years I have worked retail jobs and make less than $10 an hour. I am moving to South Korea later this year because I am becoming an ex pat. I have no hope left. America is falling apart.
I will graduate from Rutgers right before this next Christmass and I have NO experience! I know I'm pretty screwed but I might try my luck in New Mexico. God help me!

it seems we have been lead into the scam of the 21st century. You were groomed to believe education = high achievement.

I'm not worried. I just saved a bunch of money from switching my car insurance to Geico.

Hi, I'm working on a documentary project about this issue and I'm looking for subjects, college graduates who are in this situation to cast.
