The trophy for doing this without taking a hit.. I think I found it harder then I should have. I guess I'm just not as used to a PS3 controller as I am a Gamecube controller. I still haven't been able to S Rank it yet, though.

You know... with the battle mode feature, shouldn't the Tornado be called Tornado 2, which is powered by a chaos emerald, which all seven of them are drained of power! What's up with this.

@MKSfan14 The Tornado 2 is a different plane and is blue. It was shot down and decommissioned in Sonic Adventure.

@supermax110 Tails is steering, and Sonic controls the weapons. Since all you're doing is shooting down the enemies, you're playing as Sonic.

Actually I just did a perfect run no. Didn't kill Eggman, but I got I think a 179 combo. My score is 700992.

Getting an S rank sounds easy in theory, but when Eggman says "All weapons, fire!" it's virtually impossible to react to and press all the correct buttons to counter the hordes of missiles he fires out, especially when some missiles, and the buttons you need to push, are hidden behind others. There is just not enough reaction time, and I have lots of it already.

However, you can pause the game to see the button commands and prepare yourself to push them :D

I still can't get a combo of more than 116 in this stage (usually, the combo breaker for me is when the egg cauldron moves off-screen to the left, and shoots. I can't see the missles in time to shoot them down). I've been able to S-rank Act 2, which is harder, and not act 1.

This is actually a pretty tough level for its position in the game. When I first played the game, I was stuck on this level for a while, because I wasn't used to quick-time events.

@NebulaShark Typically, the more difficult a stage, the more leeway the game gives you to get an S-Rank. For instance, you could die about midway through Eggmanland and still have a shot at an S-Rank.

Out of all of the on-disc stages, this one was the hardest for me to S-Rank. I'm awful at QTE.
