The outer 2 engines do not use reverse thrust as it overhang out of the runway and above grass. If it will to use reverse thurst it would cause massive damage to the grass along the runway.
dam! the news are biased favouring boeing for being american. no boeing stands to this achievement considering the problems a big plane like this creates when building one.

Its a very safe aircraft, and gives off less fuel emissions than any other passenger aircraft currently on the market..that's why it's been nicknamed the "Green Giant"
well thats face it Britian and Europe has owned America the A380 will handle more pressengers than the 747 400 dont get me wrong boeing is great but Airbus have over taken them once again.

i love the european definition of 'wanted'. if they 'wanted' fedex (and UPS) to buy their plane, they wouldn't have cut all the wires a meter too short, amongst other things.
Yup, true. We make planes totally LSD-like. Why would anyone need electrons anyway, duuuuh??!???!? Get American planes if you want to travel with longer unreliable communist electron transport systems. Cables? pos, we will get over that.
But it actually is 2.5 meters longer than 747-400. The 747-8 will be longer but not bigger. And when the 380-900 comes, it will be about 3-4 m. longer than 747-8.
ayyh..I thought the first landing of the A380 was Montreal!!,..and the flite was cumin frm France and as u kno montreal cums b4 Van when cumin frm europe..!!
the first canadian landing was actually in nunavut for its cold ops test. but global new doesn't have an outlet up north, so to them it doesn't count.
It's really funnt to read these coments... especially from the Boeing-Fans ... they seem to knopw very little - (as most Americans do, compared to the Europaen) - Let me tell you something: "Boeing didn NOT sell a single 747 within the last 11 months - WHY? - Because they bought A380s!" :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) That's it!
Lufthansa has 20 firmed orders for the 747-8 as the only airliner!! But they also ordered the 380. And no US buyers have odered any of them, yet. #80 sell like hot cakes and will continue to. That´s my guess. Along with 787 and now the A350 that will launch in 2010 instead of 2013.
Americans are good people, I think :) I have only met a couple but they were great. But they also think they invented everything hehe. We must penetrate them with our rad rods!
If we Brits hadnt invented the jet engine you wouldnt have any 747. We even helped both Russia and the USA build their first jets shooting star and the MIG-15.
whatever you say... the A380 is the largest and most beautyful - I can see that as more often you respond and try to say shit - it wont work - :-) Airbus is kicking Boeings Ass.. whatever you say! :-)
and both the Comet and DC10 serviced for many years after their original problems were solved... and since most crashes are still caused by pilot error, you really can't blame the manufacturer of the plane... besides, it's a good thing we have two strong competitors, both parties benefit from it, because they keep trying to be better than the other, so you should be happy with airbus: it forces boeing to do better and vice versa...
I actually like the 787 too! In the beginning I didn´t like the A380 because it looked a little too short. But now I thinks it´s totally hip and looks amazing! 787 and A380 is the future! All the 300, 330, 757, 747, 767 etc. is old and have done their job!
Listen to the caster, "It's the largest most advanced PASSANGER JET"... and your Antonov 225 is more of a cargo jet and it also says. "Only one aircraft built. Sorry... not for sale."
Oh, really, omg may be I am deaf. May be there is no sonund on my PC when caster is saying this. May be I am so stupid not to understand this. But the interesting question is: did I write that Antonov a-225 is the largest most advanced PASSANGER JET for sale? Or did I write that it is still bigger? I think that there is difference in those two sentences. I assumed that it is possible to notice.
What we should be talking about isn't the first landing but the first crash. I think the first high fatality crash (which every Airbus model has had) will doom this pig to the scrap yard along with the DC-10's and De Havilland Comets. Airbus sucks.
do you know there ever will be a crash and if so the means of there crash??? ermmm no, until then i suggest u be quiet for a while as you cannot prove any point stated above.
WOW *lauhgs* thank you so much for posting this. My uncle is the first person that gives his opinion and well he lives in Canada and I never get to see him much and now I did and this plain is fucking amazing! I would love to sit first class in that one... *a big hug from holland*
SO you think this planes good! HAHAHAHAHAHA no it isnt how would you like to be in econamy which is all most of us can afford, and be traped in a four person row. And the price of fuel for the arline for that piece of shit will double the price for a tickit abord. THINK THE WHOLE PICTURE!!!!

But I like how the designed the interior of the Dreamliner with the neon lights.
davidwongdw 4 years ago
Those neon lights have been available for a few years, also on Airbuses. Emirates uses them on their A340-500s, for instance.
