  • Great man! Somehow, I love it!

  • please can you tell me: how to you transfer data from the vp-d351 to the computer? i bought a USB and it plugs in fine, but it says it doesnt recignize the device. please help. thanks.

  • Decentralize folk so it can reinvent itself.. hhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

    What a crock

  • what do you suggest- centralize the tunes- put 'em on a shelf /i-tunes? pay to put your music on i-tunes and get people to pay for it- when 99 percent of what is consumed is owned by labels and the only people that pay for your music are your own fans that you develop at live gigs anyway?

  • Musician's have to eat too..

None of us would even know who Bob Dylan is, of countless other performer's for that matter, if it weren't for the fact that he was picked up by a label and mass marketed. Personally, I think a few white haired suits getting rich is a fair trade off.

I just thought it was funny that you're so passionate about "decentralizing" a genre of music that is just about all together dead. Folk is the music of the people, it doesn't need to reinvent itself,

  • as it's ever changing with the ideals and traditions of culture itself.

Anyway, I enjoyed your video. Best to you in all things.

  • Hey Dustin,

Its less now about the art and more about the production. Part of the problem might be that these centralized systems control the flow of art. So if things are less centralized then it makes sense that the peoples music would "be". Yes music of the people would re-invent itself if it could heard by the people through decentralized publishing streams. Youtube is a good example.

  • neat video.

  • it isn't the music that is dead, nothing is but its what people that think the music is dead is just ridiculous. just because Dylan went electric doesn't mean that he killed folk music he went through alot of a hard times so he thought tht going electric was smart. I was just trying 2 say somthing but i forgot what 2 say...it was from I'm Not There
