  • my Faith and spiritual increase become more than before ''New Roman Missal''I believe this something changed Will of God.Amen! May God bless you Father your explanation is well done.

  • When we say "lord I am not worthy that you enter under my roof" It means less to me. Its just something that I have to say, it becomes rote. It does not add additonal meaning.

  • Ok I am going to tell you-?/~I thought WE sheeple were supposed to get our instruction from the Written words of the infallible (Original) Holy Torah and Prophets..everything else is pale in comparison.

BTW..your Rabbi Jesus- NEVER- taught out of the New-Testament that was developed by Rome over 1700 years..the Virgin Birth story (Now Refuted-by-Rome-1996) was instituted in 696 CE and Canonized in 967 CE..( way after the Man was Born-Naturally)

So time to Fix the misconstructions..and find Love

  • I understand why these changes were made, and while I do feel a bit exacerbated by the whole thing I am not against it; but, something that I feel they didn't take into account is implementing a more archaic translation at a time when unprecedented numbers of young people are leaving the church. The only thing currently keeping the Catholic population somewhat stable in the US is Latin immigration.

  • The catholic church is a universal church, that is what Catholic means. The more complicated the mass, the harder it is to under stand for normal folks, the more "wordy" it is, the less universal the church becomes.

  • @1spoon1fork ~You might think that the church-would teach the people properly...Someone really needs to RE-WRITE the New Testament-Fix the Misconstruction of historical-cultural-and linguistic mistakes that is either there to control manipulate or stir up anger at the Jewish people-as history so well shows humanity.

PS-Jesus NEVER taught most of the stuff NOW Taught in your church organization. What he did teach was a repentance movement and all you have to do is the Prodigal Son story.go study.

  • This priest narrator/host is an actor, not a real priest.

  • @jaworskij no actually he is a real priest. You can find more information about Fr. John Muir at ASUCatholic (dot) org

  • @LifeTeenInc Sadly your are mistaken...There are 300,000 Real Priests DNA tested that actually have bloodlines back to the original-Levitical priesthood and they are being trained for Temple administration..Move over Rome for the Real Rabbis will lead the way as Your bible states..Just look it up...better yet actually read your bible cover to cover for the Next few years You will see the difference when study is applied~

  • @jaworskij The real problem is that ROME LIED big time//go to ~ Simpletoremember (dot) com ~

There is a open letter that Rome gave to the Rabbis of Israel (1996) stating historically that the Virgin Birth was fabricated and based upon a first century doctrine that the gods could Impregnate women...It has been discounted by Rome themselves in the Ecole/ Biblique (catholic historical documents) housed in in J-Lem, Israel_ also the two lineages- are failed as per Rome~Now there is some truth~

  • @jaworskij The Priest is Handsome and unbelievable by the Protestants.

  • Too bad the Historical Linguistic and cutirwal aspects of the Scrolls (Original) were totally dis aknowledged...Mostly a fabrication leaning toward a global religious misconstruction~This is just Roman dogma propaganda for the most part..Simply People need to study the Real history and forget the New misconstruction(s) of Rome or any of the other 27,000 versions of christinaity around the world out of the 38,000 religions~~SAD

  • @OregonShout --"cutirwal"? "dis aknowledged"? Is this post a criticism of the Roman Church? I cant tell.

  • @ZebraSpider454SRY~"Cultural" The aspects of true Torah foundation is/are what is missing~

The Man they say they follow was and studied Jewish/Hebrew/ historical documents to disseminate his Baal Teshuvah teachings/movement to the Gentiles as well as the Jewish people..today the theology is all over the map due to the Mother/Rome and daughters of this religion~...Simply just go and study the Original documents and leave the childish teachings where they are in Pagan-ville IMHO

  • @OregonShout -another shit post.

  • @ZebraSpider454 I AGREE Jesus NEVER taught the Lies that Christology teaches..Now Paul on the other hand Taught Hellenism and that is not what your Rabbi of Choice Yeshua/Jesus taught to his Disciples...so whats up with this s#it post of propaganda?

Either teach the Torah (Instruction)s and not re-placement theology or QUIT-'lying to the Masses-

BTW there is 38,000 religions on the planet..and 27,000 of them are the DIVIDED and christology ..which Violates the Prayer request- John 17:v22 ~IMHO

  • The new Roman Missal is just confusing lots of people. The old one is better.

  • @TheIxtlan --The old is not better; The new tells us what the latin text is really saying, unlike the lame paraphrase used during the "era of darkness" ( 1968- 2000).

  • Like an appetizer before dinner. Now small change, but get ready for the big change! Watch out for the Pope, he will shock the world.

  • @giffykid: Jesus spoke in Aramaic at the Last Supper, and probably Matthew was originally written in thatl But because the lingua franca of the eastern Mediterranean region was Greek, It and all the Gospels were in Greek.

  • @MrVuittonLouis

But you don't. My experience of the Catholic Church in Spain on a recent pilgrimage was that only the celebrant drank from the chalice. Catholic pilgrims from all over the world told me that was the regular practice. Communion in one kind only. I understand the principle of concomitance, but Jesus said, "Drink this, all of you.." It just seems like settling for less, when more would be so much more preferable. I am joyful over the new translation. A move in the right direction!

  • ummmmmmm who cares????

  • Why is the Mass Changing? Simply because the Vatican is an authoritarian and cowardly organization who wants to go back to parts of the Tridentine Mass, a 400 year old mass in a 2,000 year old religion. Vatican II got rid of that disaster and now the Vatican wants to bring some of that Latin tradition back into the Pauline Mass. Such an un-necessary change and if the Vatican had any guts, it would order robotic Catholics to say "et cum spiritu tuo" and "mea culpa mea culpa mea maxima culpa"

  • So, will everyone get to drink from the chalice?

  • Hindus have Sanskrit, Muslims have Arabic as their sacred language in keeping with their respective understanding of God and Faith. The foundation of Christian Faith, is Jesus born as a human person. This incarnation is available to us in food and drink - Eucharist, and a call to relate to God within our hearts in own socio-cultural set up of which language is a key part.

Rich Church Tradition have much more to give us than Latin. Jesus! And we all speak Latin

    We all speak Latin

  • GO FR. MUIR

  • why stop at the latin translations? why not go back to the original greek texts if you want to be so exact?

  • if you are looking for something rock sounding for your teen Mass, check out the video "new catholic Mass music gloria" by St. Joseph's Contemporary Music group.

  • Why can't we just go back to the Latin? While I like how this is faithful to it, I feel that it is a unifying aspect of the Church, just like how Jews have Hebrew and Muslims have Arabic. If we are taught what the Latin means and see the beauty of it, can continue using the Latin Rite.

  • @Ilkeyrion I enjoy the Latin Rite and appreciate it very much. A lot of people prefer their language because it becomes easier to understand. I feel like I would not have enjoyed the Latin Rite as a child, but really enjoy the masses in Latin thanks to my mother's explanation and appreciation for it.

  • If we plan to use the original language as the Jews and Muslims do we will have to use Greek as the whole New Testament was written in Greek and translated into Latin.

  • @Ilkeyrion I like praying in vernacular because I don't need a missal to pray.

I do recognize what you mean with the Hebrew and Arabic. It's a language that unifies people of faith. Latin's the ligua franca of the Church.

For that reason, I do think that the Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, SAnctus, Benedictus and Angus Dei should be kept in Latin (Greek for the Kyrie, of course.) I believe that would be enough and any Catholic can go to mass anywhere in the world feeling a little bit at home.

  • @Ilkeyrion --We are more unified in KNOWING what is said at Mass than unified in hearing the same Latin words, considering that not many Catholics speak ecclessial latin.

  • @Ilkeyrion I understand, but unfortunately it's not easy to learn a second language. And not everyone is willing to learn Latin. I'm 24 and I would LOVE to learn Latin to hear God's World more clearly. But what about the elderly? Those in their 80's and 90's. We have to account for our brothers and sisters who unable to learn as quickly as the younger generation. In short, accessibility is vital to comprehension.

  • @wutchamacallit Why not learn-Aramaic or Hebrew so you can understand the REAL teachings of the Man Jesus?..the Real Torah He taught from is not Latin..no way..it is Hebrew///go study and stop the misconstruction of facts

  • @OregonShout Misconstruction of facts? What do YOU define as REAL teachings? This video was to educate and explain the reason behind the COMPLETED Roman Missal. You're simply here to bash Catholicsm. You speak of REAL teaching based on a website? LOL. Our teachings come from the Holy Bible. Websites can be fabricated. "Now there is some truth"!

  • @wutchamacallit Young man go study with Mature men of G-d and not the babies~IF you really want to walk the walk...SEE Matthew 5:17-19 for clarification

After reading that then go to First John 2:v6 those who say" they follow the teaching of Yeshua should therefore WALK' (on the Derek-the path) as Yeshua walked. hat was TORAH observant..not in anyway was the man walking any-new modern religion -Yeshua/-followed the TORAH and not any other of the worlds 38,000 religions today

  • @Ilkeyrion Because Jesus was a Jewish Rabbi and Rome wanted to make the man LESS Jewish for obvious historical reasons..I

f you want to study...go to Chabad(dot)org ~~and there is a REAL copy of the Original(which your Rabbi of Choice-Jesus) taught from~\Now everybody go study the real deal..

  • @Ilkeyrion I live in a Muslim Country Pakistan and I am a Catholic.

I KNOW IT VERY WELL THAT ALL MUSLIMS IN THE WORLD PRAY IN ARABIC BUT MOST OF THEM DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY SAY. INSTEAD OF UNIFYING THEY ARE MOVING TO DISASTER. THE MUSLIMS DON'T KNOW A BIT OF THEIR FAITH THEY JUST KNOW THEIR TRADITIONS.

If the Mass comes in Latin the poor people of Nigeria having 250 languages and Pakistan having 10 languages move to division not Unification.

Being Realistic is better than the Beauty.

  • I am so excited about this. I can't wait here in my Parish Church.
