Hurricanes rid the warm parts of the world of excess heat. with this silly machine, the heat would still be in the area. so a hurricane could just form somewhere else.
also it would be such a huge project that government contractors would get involved and there would be lots of corruption and kickbacks. there would be shortcuts and it would break at just the wrong time.
ok let me get this straight. are you saying one of those needs 30 nuclear power plants to run? if so, my question is, where is your point of origin? and how many would you need to stop those hurricanes? because i'm pretty sure one wouldn't last. and lets not forget about all those power plants you need if you have more than one. come on...think about it. pure BS to me.

I disagree with this Technology. Hurricanes wither you believe it or not actually helps cool off the ocean. Since global warming is in effect... our oceans are getting hotter and hotter, what else fuels up our oceans? If we as humans stop polluting our atmosphere and start taking better care of our planet.. hurricanes would not be so bad.
The technology is indeed questionable. What is wrond with protecting the oil fields, however? The way you live (and take for granted) depends on oil by the way. the point you try to make is not clear. Sorry.
