I think the reason he played Bright Eyes songs the majority of the time was that that show and the Brazil show the day before were the first shows C.O and M.V.B did and they only had a handful of "new" material, not really enough to qualify for its own proper set. That and I don't think Nick and Taylor were at those shows or knew the Bright Eyes songs so Conor probably threw everything together with the people he knew could play enough songs with. That's just my best guess though.

I'm guessing he pulled out old ones specifically for the fact that he was playing in Chile... didn't play any Bright Eyes songs (much less "old ones") at the show I saw him in.

Nonetheless I'm glad he still cares about these songs, so to speak. So awesome to see him reliving these again. Both great songs.

especially this old of songs. except the show here in portland he didn't play any bright eyes songs :( just a bunch of "conor oberst" songs, a lot of new songs (that I wasn't too thrilled about) and some of his pals' songs. meh. he is still great though. I did "meet" him or as much as he let me. he's kind of a jerk. but still an amazing musician.

Yeah I've "met" him three times and one time he seemed a bit disinterested but he was with a señorita...but the other two times he seemed really happy we enjoyed it and gave me a hug man so that's cool :D
