  • I am sorry about not uploading any more of this..The special is available for purchase at bigchuck@liljohn.com..I only uploaded enough of it to use on my blog at the time..Dont want to run afoul of copyright issues to upload much more..Please understand..Thank you..

  • Where's the rest of this special?

  • Hello:

I only uploaded this to use on my blog..I will not be uploading any more of it..Sorry..

  • @TimL2005 WHAT!!!???!! NO FAIR!!!

  • So Tom Conway had to change his first name to Tim, because of another Tom Conway in show biz But if Tom/Tim was going to change his name, he couldn't he change his last name---becoming something like Tom Sanders? (Bragging rights to whomever gets the joke!)

  • *why couldn't he change...

  • Sadly, local TV has been syndicated out of ever doing anything original again. We will never see the likes of this in this lifetime or the next. Think about it next time you watch a re-run of "The Loooooooooooooove Boat"!

  • What was the name of the kid in the gorilla costume? I couldn't quite hear what Chuck said.

  • The kid's name was Ron Sweed who went on to become The Ghoul on old Channel 61.

    Stay sick and turn blue.

  • Wow, cool! When I first came to Ohio in 1972 I, of course, knew nothing of Cleveland television history (ie, Ghoulardi). But when I watched the Ghoul show on channel 61 on my first night in town, I thought it was hilarious. Whatever became of Ron Sweed?

  • This is GREAT stuff! Thanks SO much for posting clips from the best era in Cleveland TV. Like most anyone watching this on Youtube, I grew up on this stuff (and despite this fact I ended up OK, I think!)

  • Can you upload more, TimL2005.

  • This video was narrated at the beginning by WJW-TV station announcer Bill Ward!

  • The Ghoulardi All Stars were there before there was Parma Place. What actually replaced the soap spoof in question were old Flash Gordon shorts. The movie remained to be the main thing on Ghoulardi's late Friday night and Saturday shows.
