Ok, Xmantidx, I am going to try this but I am going to use almond butter instead of tahini first to see how it taste then maybe I will try with tahini afterwards. Thanks for your vids.
What I like to do is to smash one or two bananas in 3 tbs of natural peanut butter. No cooking, no dishes to wash. Fast food! It's a breakfast for me. When I am hungry between meals or a few hours before going to bed, I eat 1 tbs of peanut butter SLOWLY, and I can wait for the next meal without hunger and everything that comes along with it.
I agree--why not use real peanut butter? You added way too much honey--4 tablespoons! That, in and of itself, is about 84 grams of sugar. Honey is a natural source of sugar, but using that much of it not beneficial.
Hey GloChic! Kale chips are awesome! Haven't done a vid for them yet, but they are super simple! Just massage de-stemmed kaleave bits with olive oil and salt (and whatever spices ya like) and dehydrate them until crunchy! :0)
I'm sorry, but I thought this was just terrible. Tahini is indeed very nutritious, but it certainly isn't a replacement for peanut butter. It would be better to use a nut butter in my opinion.
I'm very addicted to smoothies! I tried freezing my bananas a couple days ago but I didn't like the outcome! I couldn't get the skin of easily to use in my smoothies and I didn't like the taste of them frozen either!
You're a funny guy and the world would be a better place with more guys like you!
Thanks so much Harry! I'm a smoothie addict myself :0) I tried freezin' them with the skins before and I had issues with it as well. What I do now is, I wait till they have quite a few brown "sugar spots" on them and peel and plave them in large freezer bags ina single layer. They taste a lot better and are easier to work with. We usually keep a ridculous stockpile of frozen banans in our freeze for those smoothie fixes! Peace man!~ Rory :0)
Here in Veracruz Mexico there is a traditional beverage called "TORITO de Cacahuate" that tastes like this just without the cacao. I loved this beverage but stopped drinking it a long time ago because it is made with milk and alcohol.
Sweeet! Thanks tigger! I'll have to give it a shot with some spinach I've been meaning to experiment with greens and cacao but, have'nt worked up the nerve yet *lol* Definetly gonna have to try it now! Rock on~ Rory :0)
Is'nt it yummy stuff?? We tore that jar up in a week with these smoothies alone ( luckily saved enough for the vid! ) , had some on bananas and dried figs*mmmmm* Thanks for the comment Rachel!
Thanks Alexis! Do you just use the butter and agave? That could be interesting too , with some ice and filtered water ...like a straight up Pb shake! mmm now I gotta try that as soon as I can get a hold of some cashew butter! :0)
Aw, heck no! I used cashew butter in place of your tahini, and agave instead of honey. The rest is pretty much the same, except I have never measured any of it. I just dump in frozen banana, cacao, vanilla, water, cashew butter, agave, sea salt, and sometimes some other stuff like frozen strawberries, coconut butter or cinnamon. Cause I'm crazy like that!
I tried this tonight and it was okay. In the future I think I will use almond milk instead of water and then throw the whole thing into my ice cream machine and see what happens. If possible in the future can you post the ingredients in the description or in the comments. Many thanks though for the recipe.
Some grocery stores carry it in their health food sections ( often near the peanut butter ) or at most health food stores , we used Maranatha brand for this smoothie , it has a really mild and nutty flavor! :0)
OMG, this looks divine. You used my two favorite words together. Chocolate & Peanut Butter. Oh, that's three words. Well, THANK YOU for this recipe. I'll be addicted to this by morning, I'm sure.

I throw over-ripe bananas in the freezer w/ the peel on. It keeps them from turning brown and it's just easier AND no plastic bags.
Just cut in half, slice the peel lengthwise around the banana like you would a plantain - and peel.
