We all understand the classic lines through Jags history,Mk10 was a beast, MKII was beautiful as was Etype, etc, but the front end just doe snot work on this latest XF. S type got it right during its period. X type front was also a mess.
Well, Aston Martin used to use the chassis from Jaguar hence any connection. The back of the jag looks like the Aston Martin. Maybe we need to bering Mr Lyons back and design a Jaguar that looks like a Jaguar and not a Jaguar that looks like its made from spare parts. :-)

The Jaguar XF is a good looking car. The 5 series doesn't have much of a Luxury presence besides the fact it is fairly big and kinda boxy. Getting white or gray will help. But the back lights are upside down. The 2010 E-Class is a Mercedes. Chick Magnet. I will take all three. =)

Jaguar is no longer owned by Ford, yes they could have done more with the headlights....but looking past that...510 hp, 0-60 4.6 sec. top of the line interior for it's class, looks a hell of alot better than the M5, not to mention if you can front the 80k for the car, get the damn headlights modified. And electronically limited to 155 top speed...possible 225 mph if you take the limiter off

It looks really nice from behind and side on, and I have to admit it looks better than all its rivals. But the front end is not nice, the grill is too small and the headlamps are ghastly. The rest is really quite nice, well the wheels aren't in my opinion. Callum did good but for me it's to sebring at the front.

15 years ago this was engine was designed? This engine, V8 90º slightly undersquare, 4 valve, double over head cam, I believe is directly based on the Ford Cosworth V8 designed in the late 60's for the JPS lotus Formula 1 which raced in the 70's. 15 years should be more like 40.

Jaguar is no longer owned by Ford, yes they could have done more with the headlights....but looking past that...510 hp, 0-60 4.6 sec. top of the line interior for it's class, looks a hell of alot better than the M5, not to mention if you can front the 80k for the car, get the damn headlights modified. And electronically limited to 155 top speed...possible 225 mph if you take the limiter off

It looks really nice from behind and side on, and I have to admit it looks better than all its rivals. But the front end is not nice, the grill is too small and the headlamps are ghastly. The rest is really quite nice, well the wheels aren't in my opinion. Callum did good but for me it's to sebring at the front.

This car looks nothing like a LEXUS, people should be saying. Oh that Lexus looks like the XF. "Stop comparing it to BMW, because this car overtakes BMW and Mercedes in virtually every single way". The reliability is improving, BMW parts cost more, BMW cars always have shitloads of recalls about how their ugly headlamps don't work, or how the INEFFICIENT fuel gauge is broken. If you haven't noticed, the majority of BMWs are sold before the warranty is over. The reason? They suck. Boring, subpar performance, lack of innovation, the same shitty boxy car with the tell tale BMW trademark grill. OOHHHH, wow, impressive. Is next years model a more streamlined boxy model with the BMW twin separated flagship grill? Can't wait. At least Jaguar improves on the designs, how about the XK-R Jaguar Twin Supercharged V-8 with 420 HP, that's a car.

I'm going to disagree with you. Jags are much higher up the ladder than BMWs. The new BMWs are rubbish-the quality is going, meanwhile Jaguar have overtaken them in quality and style. The new 5 series looks like dame edna everage's glasses.
I had a 02 M5, and that was crap. It spent too much time at BMW getting repaired, and the salesmen said that the e39 5 series was the best quality ever. I agree and the new ones are crap. Go Jag.

But then again, towards the end of the 70's, Jaguar still installed the 3.8 6 cylinder which dated from the end of 30's. The new 3.6 6 cylinder was created mainly to replace the thirsty V12 of the XJ-S.

15 years ago this was engine was designed? This engine, V8 90º slightly undersquare, 4 valve, double over head cam, I believe is directly based on the Ford Cosworth V8 designed in the late 60's for the JPS lotus Formula 1 which raced in the 70's. 15 years should be more like 40.

the original design was lacking in practicalityand was seriously flawed, they showed essentially a two door car. for example lok at 1:57 in this video watch?v=5bTFuWfSKhI. u'd either have 2 chop the heads of rear passengers or hav holes in the roof. besides the'd be breathing and loking out from the roof not those high windows. the design was flawed,duno why ppl got so excited abt it everyone knew theyd gav to raise the roofline. get a quatroporte! ultimate sportssalon by ferrari
